During the 1930s, the Nazi regime in Germany superimposed a swastika on the traditional medal, turning it into a Nazi symbol. After World War II, the medal was discontinued but neo-Nazis and other white supremacists subsequently adopted it as a hate symbol and it has been a commonly-used hate symbol ever since. By the early 2000s, this other use of the Iron Cross had spread from bikers to skateboarders and many extreme sports enthusiasts and became part of the logo of several different companies producing equipment and clothing for this audience. Consequently, the use of the Iron Cross in a non-racist context has greatly proliferated in the United States, to the point that an Iron Cross in isolation (i.e., without a superimposed swastika or without other accompanying hate symbols) cannot be determined to be a hate symbol. Care must therefore be used to correctly interpret this symbol in whatever context in which it may be found." As an alternative person: I disagree. The shows in the 2000's were making fun out of everyone, literally no mercy and if making fun of people made money, of course they'll try to pick up on more cases that are able to be made fun off
heya the iron cross was actually (uhm actually ☝️🤓, sorry) reintroduced for military honors (since it also was in use way way before any world war) and a politically correct, newly minted version of the iron cross now exists. however, the version the girl was wearing does look quite old-fashioned and therefore nazi-like, but while i just wanted to touch on the fact jack said it hadnt been used since ww2, i also wanted to mention that it is just part of heavy metal subculture fashion as a symbol of rebellion and is in the vast majority of cases not used as a hate symbol and its said without any accompanying symbols it cannot be determined as such
29:48 I was just thinking the same thing, I use to watch this as it was entertaining seeing what people would look like naturally but watching this it's like people are truly happy with themselves and it's just them and they get made fun of on TV for it. Be who you wanna be eff what people say.

Am horribly ill atm but this gave me a good laugh- another banger video George thank you :3
get well soon!
@@jonnyw819 thank you
17:01 ive got a pole in my bedroom lol its just cheaper than training at the studio every week
whyd the guy with the 18 year old even get with her if he knew how she dressed/did her makeup? he probably met her while she looked that way, so like? why date her if shes unattractive to you. and not just that, but to go as far as to make her go onto a show about changing your appearance.. makes no sense
Cam has my ideal room setup, so perfect
snog, marry avoid was my fave show when growing up
34:57 they turned her into grayscale Velma from Scooby-Doo 😱
I was happier as Scooby
I love how everyone had a completely different reaction to pod
Damn, sad to see James playing drinking games again after the video with Will ✋😔
I wish they'd leave them some of their initial dress style honestly
I’ve been waiting for Memulous to watch this. This seemed like the perfect show for Memulous and Co to experience. Hoping that we get to see Fat Families in the future, that would be an absolute riot.
this show was making fun of alternative people
most 2000s tv was making fun of people
good (jk)
Alternative=mental cases
As an alternative person: I disagree. The shows in the 2000's were making fun out of everyone, literally no mercy and if making fun of people made money, of course they'll try to pick up on more cases that are able to be made fun off
@@-zuza-2668 you literally just agreed with me
7:31 65% isn’t that bad if you think about it because it means over a third like you which is pretty good
Geordie here, hacky is a word used to give someone a sly look
Please more of this, this show was my guilty pleasure as a teen
heya the iron cross was actually (uhm actually ☝️🤓, sorry) reintroduced for military honors (since it also was in use way way before any world war) and a politically correct, newly minted version of the iron cross now exists. however, the version the girl was wearing does look quite old-fashioned and therefore nazi-like, but while i just wanted to touch on the fact jack said it hadnt been used since ww2, i also wanted to mention that it is just part of heavy metal subculture fashion as a symbol of rebellion and is in the vast majority of cases not used as a hate symbol and its said without any accompanying symbols it cannot be determined as such
A symbol of rebellion like the nazi soldiers were “rebelling” against the allies?
the Beyonce comment caught me so off guard the food I was cutting on my plate went flying across the room
Goated show, grew up with it when it aired on BBC THREE in its glory days before they took the channel off air and brought the hodgepodge we have now
I kinda love the last girl in the second episode. She's just so unapologetically weird, and her style honestly reminds me of my friend.
James absolutely obliterating George about his ear was the funniest shit
My mum and I used to watch Snog Marry Avoid all the time, definitely one of the best shows out there
James has been looking so good recently
Snog, Marry, Avoid had me in a chokehold as a child…. most of my issues could probably be traced back to this show. 😭😭😭
This is the most noughties thing ive ever seen
The best trio to use in a reaction vid
29:48 I was just thinking the same thing, I use to watch this as it was entertaining seeing what people would look like naturally but watching this it's like people are truly happy with themselves and it's just them and they get made fun of on TV for it. Be who you wanna be eff what people say.
I’m now on the hunt for a man in public with a swollen earlobe😭
Omg I am SO excited that you watched Snog Marry Avoid I love this show lol it's hilarious!! They always have the most Geordie Shore style women and make them "under" lol it really is top British TV. Please watch more!!!
My fabourite memulous line is always "AWOOGA, OINK OINK"
The iron cross was a German war medal. Not necessarily a Nazi thing, it just happens that Nazis were the German military, nowadays the symbol is often used by punks or bikers
Millennials really have no business saying gen z looks old when they looked like _that_ back then 💀💀
I know George said he has never watched this, but I swear to god he already made a video on this
Early 2000s British girls were just something else.
26:31 they're subdermals i think, if I remember correctly they're a metal plate under the skin that the jewellery screws into 😊
I remember my mams mate who was a man that dressed as a woman went on this show and they just turned him back into a man and went that’s class. Imagine that being on national telly now.
I love how many opinions George has on woman's fashion lmao
9:40 - I nearly spat my drink out when he shouted "use anti-firming cream!!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
WHAT THE FUCK JACK IS 21??? THIS MAN IS A YEAR YOUNGER THAN ME??
I AM TERRIFIED OF THE PROGRESSION OF TIME
The ear jokes really got me and Georg saying he will later "edge" to James . bahahah
George, im playing along, at home, with absinthe.
25:34 I didn't know George Clarkey was a footballer
35:59 in Sweden there was a "fjortis" era 2004-2009 and 13-16 year olds looked like that
4:34 holy shit it’s the Ryan Ross trim
Used to watch this all the time when I was growing up. I always remember thinking how much the SMA team missed the mark with the makeovers. No wonder everyone reverted back😂
Ngl I think the cyber military whatever goth girl is drippy af
Maybe without the iron cross though....
Hitler would agree with you
“it’s like a really budget version of the age of ultron” help😭😭
by far my favorite video
Just clicked on this vid, and pause immediately. I'm putting in my bet that this is going to be a British version of "Kiss, Marry, Kill"
nope. tv show-
I am a simple man I see a memeulous video I click
I actually met the host of this show and she was so sweet, even did a Scooby Doo impression for me
In the netherlands we have/had (not sure) a similar show to this called "hotter then my daughter" where it is basically 40+ year old mothers dressing up like 18 year olds and that being their style, and then they get that same camera roast thingy and then also get transformed. I don't fully remember it so sorry if my comment doesn't make sense😂
My english teacher was asked what he would do, and he says about this poor women "id have to avoid, getting ready in the morning looks like a military routine" but he is a short ginger man, covered in tatoos, and an english major with the most british accent ever. Its SO funny.
praying they went right back to wearing what they want as soon as they got off the show
