I am 76 and entering into the 4th (final) year of a BFA degree. Planning on grad school. As Wade confirms - time is not linear.

This is good for people of all ages - even at 59, I'm not sure what I want to be when I grow up.

Your comment actually makes me feel sad and hopeless, I’m not saying it in any way to be mean I just don’t want to wait any longer to figure it out.

@@denisemilfort4581it's not your fault that modern technology has made it more challenging to carve a niche that is profitable and rewarding... outside of being devoted to creating _content_ for social media which actually cause time vacuums for anyone who _watches_ it rather than creating their own futures.
I am 54 and a complete nobody by society's standards... but as the world's greatest garment engineer (for clothes that moves _with_ our bodies even using fabrics without stretch) I can say that the gifts and knowledge I possess is better left off the market.... because the _fashion_ industry would cut the corners of my drafts and would employ slaves to labor on making more garments that westerners would end up throwing out in a year or so.
      We live in challenging times.

Wade! I love you like so many. You have taught me life so many lessons, though the years. You lead me to be the captain. I have followed you since my teens. I have woven a colorful tapestry that I love and am proud of. Thank you for your years of story telling, global vision and .. all those things that make us ourselves. Xo

yesterday while hiking up in Stratcona Park, we came across a young man working for the park. We started small chit chat and he said " dont I know you" -well, it eneded up he was in the psychology 12 class I talked too a few years --back.As-- soon as he realized who I was he gets this big grin-and im sure if it wasnt fo covid- we would have given each other a hug. he talked to me about chalenges with gettig the right courses he wanted- he is in his 3rd year, challenegs of life etc. I had just come across this video a week or so before. So Iet this young man know about it, and told him some things Wade had said, and some of the things i leared in life. He was going to go home and try to find this video- unfortuanaley I couldt remember the name of it. But I know he will find it, and it will help him. Thank you for this.

I love this idea od allowing your destiny to find you and being open to the radical shifts from where you thought you were headed to new, unexpected pathways 😊

Ah... he was quoting directly from Terrence Mckenna there but didn't mention it. Around 7 minutes in.

24:32 - gimme a BREAK! What he wants to say to _young_ people?
What about us 50 somethings who applied that very philosophy to our lives, are vastly knowledgable creative and _gifted_ and are considered to be _nobodies_ by the world?
Not that I regret the way that I've engaged with _life_
... I wouldn't trade it for all the success in the world.... but acting like anybody who embraces a laissez-faire approach to life is gonna find recognition and economic security is delusional!
