Delicious salads, Suzy! The taco salad is one of my favourites. I add cilantro, spring onion or red onion, and I like to squeeze lime on mine before eating. If I have it, I add sour cream too.

We had a great holiday in Kenya, years and years ago, a very beautiful country. One evening we were sitting on the porch enjoying a small drink when the biggest insect I have ever seen in my life landed near me with a loud thud! I asked a local guy what it was, he looked, shrugged his shoulders and simply said “bug.”

I grew up with taco salad, always used cheese Doritos. And my mother would mix salsa and sour cream to use as dressing with it, so yummy!

I will be happy with you if you one day try Ghana Salad which have these ingredients as follows: Cabbage, carrots, cucumber, lettuce tomatoes, onions, beetroot,bell peppers, baked beans, boiled eggs, mayonese and either corned beef or sardine (thats optional). Trust me Ma'am, you will love it too

where do you buy the gigantic garlic powder?
Loving the salads especially the corn one looks so healthy. Iam yet to corrected if you're making any salad with raw onions make sure you consume it atleast the same day to avoid food poisoning,but the rest salads are perfectly ok even after a few days.
Why would raw onion cause food poisoning but not any other raw veg? What’s different about onions?
I don't know about raw onions causing food poisoning but we usually don't leave salads with raw onions overnight if the rest of the ingredients are mild in taste as the onion tends to overpower the rest of the ingredients and the salad tastes too strongly of raw onion and not that appetising tbh...but that's a personal preference in our home and i am not sure if its a common choice 😅
Thank you for your input girl. I haven't heard that about onions but I'll look into it. So far I've been doing it and no effect whatsoever. The salads still slurp! 😂😂
A cut raw onions produces some chemicals substance e.g methionine , cystine ,allicin,quercetine,fisetin and sulphurous in large quantities compared to other raw vegetables,at Suzy thanks for a positive outlook on this,if it works perfectly with your family well and good. I didn't meant to offend anybody it's might as well be a myth yet to be proven,growing up at times we used to devide onion and use it next day and we were perfectly ok.

Why do you not cook your corn in the air fryer? I do, it is great and quick too. I love the idea of vinegar in the coleslaw dressing, I’m gonna give that a try.

Yes, I have a few items from Costco. We live in Kenya, but when I travel for work I like to stock up on such staples as butter and cheese from Costco because the price difference is astronomical. ☺️☺️

Hi Joseph! Yes, that lady is in Marikiti ( Wakulima Market). It is hard it describe where she sits in the market😁 but she is located in the main market section, where you may find trucks. Ask around there and you will be directed. 😊

How long do they stay in the fridge?
Hi Stacy! I generally make food to last 4-6wks. So the last batch of food will come out of the freezer after 4-6wks. In between we will be enjoying the food. 😁
