The satisfaction of detailing a muddy bike is next level! Here in the Netherlands bikes are basically a necessity. Last year I got my first new bicycle (city type) and the first thing I did was wash, wipe down with IPA and coat it with Gyeon Cancoat. And oh my lord that makes keeping the bike clean easy. The bimonthly washes are absolute overkill but the hydrophobics are too satisfying not to want to wash it even more.
Can highly recommend Cancoat for bikes as you don't need to be that picky as to what surface it's applied to, whether it's metal or plastic.
As a fan of detailing videos I dgaf what's being cleaned mate. Top job. These guys whinging about the bike being upside down? Like wtf it's on grass not rubble.

Good job. Super muddy here and several deep cleans needed. I use a bit of brake clean, some citrus degreasant and diluted maguairs shampoo...as ever though you've help to up my game. For lubricating the chain you do it on the bottom for the lubricant to go on the inside..the bit that runs on cassette and freewheel. I don't suppose it makes a huge difference..

Watching this as im putting last adjustments to my new 1x11 drivetrain and hub nuts, such a joy :) PS. Haha, we lube our chains exactly the same... lazy boy way - let the chain do the work :)

If you want to save yourself the trouble of cleaning the chain then you should use Chainwax and if you ride a lot then hotwax .

For a saddle. I can't recommend a burgtec cloud boost enough! Excellent trail saddle. Also some muc off chain lube

12:00 I disagree with your assessment that this was, "still embedded grime in the tires."
I'm fairly certain that if you rub with a towel on freshly bought tires, it'll get stained equally.
that's just rubber particles which get dislodged. it's similar to wiper blades; everyone says, "look how much grime was on there," after inspecting the towel they just used to wipe them down. yeah, try it again and see how it's still "dirty."
then repeat until you figure, you can't clean them; rubbing along black rubber will always stain a towel, no matter how "clean" it already is.

A couple of cleans like that and the bottom bracket, axles and headset will be feeling the effects even at low pressure.
Cleaned my bike 1nc with a hose and the front suspension went funny so won't be doing it again, I now just let the mud dry and wipe the bike down with a damp cloth,

I recommend wearing a helmet when cycling
It's a choice though. Statistically wearing one makes people feel safer. Also a helmet is as much use as a chocolate teapot in most accidents.

Upside down AND a pressure washer. Better to get a $50 bike stand and just use a normal hose.
