Its so much fun to go out and collect. I love it when you go to Your Local Store, but have to say that I enjoy all of your fun spots. Bless you and your family.

    Nice stuff there…
That killer Nippon plate set your mom bought at the end of the video… I believe those little plates are for butter service. Each place setting at a dinner party would each have one of those little plates with their own little pat butter for their roll or vegetables. At least that’s how my mom uses them. Could be a relish set too… big plate for celery/carrot sticks/etc, small plates used for dipping the cold raw veg into salt.

Another great trip to the antiques stores. I love seeing all the old interesting items from times gone by. When I was in kindergarten we had porch milk box. That was around 1962. That was the only time I remember having one. We moved a lot; my dad was a career Naval officer. I say all of that to say it's weird that is the only place that we had one. Anyway, thanks for sharing:)

I enjoy the old toys a lot too---when I was a kid we had one of those metal crates that set next to our door on "the breezeway" (which was a covered patio area) side door of our home. Our milkman, Mr. Benson, was also our neighbor from across the street. He drove the milktruck van and picked up the empty milk bottles we set out and left the fresh milk once or twice a week---my sister and I were charged with bringing it inside to the 'fridge of course. Back then they kept the milk cold in the back of the truck with ground ice! Sometimes in the summer, all us kids would sneak in and grab a handful of it---to either eat or throw at each other, lol!

Love your mums taste in china. I'm pretty sure it's a celery platter with salt cellars/dippers.

I bet you are right on that. The guy that sold it to her told her it was a nut dish....and I was like...mom....I doubt that is what that is...haha.

Your Mom's purchase at the end---those little dishes might be "bone dishes" used at table to literally put the small bones on after eating a drumette or other dainty meat. The large dish being for serving them on. maybe. don't quote me.

I am going to. I got bombed with spam mail at the post office and have a mess. People sent me products without asking me....I guess to sell. And it just spoiled my attitude on everything. Scam after scam from people wanting a piece of my income. And I only make 1500 a month here. This place is just a cess pool
