  • I'm surprised to see that a "gaming projector" actually exists.
    Does it have any delay?
    Does it actually sound "decent"?
    Does it have enough ports?
    Does it have the necessary features?
    Is it good in terms of price?

    Hi, Nice review, one question, I noticed than the 4-Corner settings reset after power off, which forces them to be reconfigured after power on. Did u notice that? (My projector is a little off center) Thanks

    Hi thanks for this review! Before buying this projector I ‘d like to know in a room without direct sunlight or with curtains on is it usable? Or it must be in totally dark room or at night to be usable? Merry Christmas and thanks again !

      We are showing this projector in a room with rather harsh sunlight that is blocked by some office window blinds.
      I'd say you don't need the room to be pitch black to use it - though it is preferable.

    Hello , thank you for your review , in your video i can see purple and green rainbow effects slowly moving upwards on the projector screen , but when the camera is on you this does not happen . are those lines actually there or is it just because of your camera ? .

      @JavonDGreen ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It’s because the camera is fast enough to see the refresh rate. You will not see this in person.

    What kind of protective carrying bag do you advise to store it and take it to several places, without damaging anything and keeping everything secure and safe?

      I don't have any recommendation for this specific projector. TBH, just reuse the box lol. It's one of the best containers you can have.

    Received today this projector.. its operation is really weird: 60 \ 120 \ 240hz have the same veeery high input lag and the same hiiiiigh persistence effect, as if in reality it was always at 60hz. The only usable mode is VRR 144hz, with that it actually works like a gaming projector, but far from excellent performance. I'm afraid Acer lied about the specs.. this GD711 at 240hz has an input lag at least of 40ms. Strange you didn't say anything about it in this "review".

    • @TechCritter
      @TechCritter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Like what we mentioned, performs the best in 144Hz with VRR turned on.
      Also, this is not a review and it is not called a review - it's a test.

    • @Filodream

      @@TechCritter ok, mistery solved. You have to go to the projector menu, under display mode you have to set the profile "GAME DARK" or "GAME BRIGHT". Now the projector works at 120 \ 240hz (high framerate mode, no VRR mode) and performances are impressive. Now my Zowie xl2746s monitor and this projector GD711 have similar smoothness and input lag.

      It is a really good projector for gaming use.
      There is only one thing left that does not convince me: how the fan works..

    How great, now entry level projectors are gonna go through the roof because of "gaming" title. These manufacturers think we're stupid. I have a BenQ TK700 STI, that destroys this projector. Oh boy, "gamer" title. Next, Asus will jump in with their "republic" rubbish. How are you gonna claim to be a gaming projector when you don't have ultrawide options, 21:9. This is NOT a "gaming projector", most projectors have these features bruh.

    • @CDbiggen
      @CDbiggen ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Spot on, "gamers" deserve to be fleeced anyway.
