Yeah! I love how much he is very obviously Katara's son. "Don't bring my mother into this!" last episode is very much like Katara's "I'M COMPLETELY CALM"
I could write a paper on this episode, there’s so much to talk about. If you’re in Korra’s shoes, and you’re a teenager who spent most of your life being terrific at bending the first 3 elements, and now you’re taking training sessions with three little kids who have mastered air bending beyond anything you can do? Yeah, I’d take up major league sports too.
Have you noticed that the Pro Bending announcer is the same man doing the previous episode recaps? And what do you think of the black and white, earlier 20th century style footage with the “nyeh, see?” Al Capone accent?
Bolin is the "Sokka" character, but honestly calling him that does a disservice to both. Bolin isn't Sokka, he's a glorious Himbo. I liked him a lot more when that clicked. Mako is clearly meant to be the moody bad-boy Zuko character. I don't care for him. The show so badly wants me to think he's cool, I can't help but feel the opposite. I like the idea that by placing restraints of Korra's aggression, she's been forced to adopt the defensive, avoidant behaviour of an airbender. Ironically, there probably aren't rules against Airbending in the arena - there aren't enough airbenders for it to be an issue. This episode puts the different bending style front and centre... and I don't like it. It turns the beautiful, elegant Kung-fu styles that displayed the elemental and national characteristics from the original series into rather dull kickboxing punches and kicks. I also don't buy Bolin's explanation, that the pressure-cooker of highly competitive Pro-Bending has created better, faster, more efficient bending. You are seriously telling me that a 100 years war wasn't also highly competitive, and with higher stakes? Still, I enjoy the plot and characters, Mako aside.
Tenzin is funny because he tries to be like his father Aang, but has Katara's temper

Haha YES I see it!!
Tenzin's Air Bison is named Oogi. They briefly named him in the first episode.
Some don't like Meelo, but I think he's just awesome.
He's a little monster termite and I love him🥲
Mako is named after the former voice actor of Iroh who passed away before he finished all his voicelines for Iroh in ATLA
Ooooooooh that's so good! Thanks for sharing. :)

You gotta love how when Meelo was copying Korra and causing a ruckus, the two daughters clung to daddy, the three of them weary.
