@@bobwill9626 Tough to say Bill. Never seen a bug outbreak that re-occurs like that after treatment and removal and eliminating mulch to over winter in.
I planted Zico’s in the tropics and only one came up. It grew nicely for awhile and bloomed, made fruit but they got blossom rot about two inches long. I think the problem was they didn’t get properly pollinated.mathematics it died because I over watered. Oops! I will try again. Never give up.
Definitely give it another try Dennis. Sounds like lack of pollination...sometimes Blossom End Rot is a Calcium issue...but in Zukes its often pollination.

At face value it sounds like not enough light if they are leggy. Mine are only 10 days old and are receiving full sun already outdoors in 78F weather. They have not stretched in the slightest and will be planted in the ground in a few days. Already have roots hanging out of the bottom of the 3.5" starter pots. Unlike tomatoes and peppers, you can hold off longer on these. They grow sooooo fast but must have adequate light.

Ziploc works great...I don't think they even need to be refrigerated....
@@TheRipeTomatoFarms that's awesome. You rock for answering so fast. Thank you 😊

How many seeds do you recommend putting in a 12inch pot?
Two in the center. And then thin to the strongest single plant after the first set of true leaves. :-)
@@TheRipeTomatoFarms omg. This is my first time planting them and I planted like 6 seeds in that big pot what do you recommend I do?
@@TSF_VLOG Ha ha don't fret. Just thin to the best 2 or 3 plants once they all sprout.
Which month is this planting....
Thank you 😊
If anyone has some proven technique (no insecticides, please) to fight squash bugs and squash vine* borers, I'd truly appreciate advice ... they are a serious problem for my plants!
Squash bugs live over winter by hiding in plant debris and coarse mulch....so if you're prone to the bugs, first get rid of their winter hiding spots. After that, regular natural dish soap kills the eggs, and manual removal of the adults is pretty easy, although a bit laboursome....

Thank you!
How do I deal with the squash bugs that kill my squash every year. I kill them and the eggs they just keep coming back.
Plant something else that that like that you want or sprinkle cayenne pepper on it 🤷 worth a try

@@TheRipeTomatoFarms I do all that change my location every year same thing. Eventually they die every year.
From where I get the seeds
@@sebiapaulose6139 everywhere. Even online.
I’m growing squash and cucumbers and I saw a lot Videos and you better
thank you
Cheers Gaia, appreciate the support. :-)
I had no luck last year with my zucchini...I'm going to plant in a different spot this year...
Best of luck Lisa...what do you think was the problem?
I had the same issue, and I could never figure out what was wrong with my soil. :(
@@melissasullivan1658 its almost always the soil Melissa....! :-(
Thanks homie. Pretty sure I underfertilized out of fear that I’d over fertilize.
@@melissasullivan1658 That can happen with such a massive plant. I'm positive they take a lot out of the soil to support the giant foliage and copious fruit! :-)
Birds that why I start indoors..
What is fertilizer name
Thanks for your best information 👍👍👍ℹ️ℹ️ℹ️ℹ️ please 🥺🥺🥺🙏
Cheers!
Beets are easy to grow multisown indoors.
Cool, never tried them indoors.....!
What is the spacing for direct sowing ?
Same spacing (18-24 inches apart), but put 2 or 3 seeds in each spot to ensure a plant in each location. Thin about a week to 10 days after sprouting.
Wheres part 2?

Do you have any trouble with squash bugs?
I've been lucky so far Tamara. Avoided any serious infestations of anything really. Powdery mildew at the end of the year is about it. :-)
You forgot pumkins
What about pumpkins? Love 'em!
Well zucchini’s
The seeds look like pumpkin seed
Same plant... Different cultivars... Like Broccoli and Cauliflower!
Can u spare me some heirloom tomato seeds?
Courgette..... Soft g
:-)
Ohhh, two weeks before last frost date... oops 😂
Not your fault Lisa....the recap at the end states BEFORE twice. Sigh. LOL
@@TheRipeTomatoFarms no worries, actually didn’t even notice that, I’m in 5b and was stuck on the fact that I started my zucchini this past weekend 🤣
You can eat the flowers!!
Squash blossoms are yum!!
Crap I started my seeds way to early
Its no worries Mairis....just keep them cool with a ton of light....you CAN slow them down.
courgettes...the g is pronounced a j not a g
Cool. I mean KOOL
Courgette is not pronounced cor-get. The "ou" is like should or book and "gette" is like jet.
:-)
So KooJet? I always said core-jet. 😏

Why do most of your sentences sound like you're asking a question?
Why not? Its fun. Try it!
I was really enjoying this video but after a couple minutes I noticed that you keep raising the pitch of your voice at the end of your sentences like it's a question. Every once in awhile that is understandable but every single sentence raising your voice at the end like it's a? I just can't listen to for very long. Just some constructive criticism.
Are you really criticizing the way he speaks… grow up
My seeds grow tall and skinny and go limp before they turn green 🥲 I don’t know why but everything I plant grow long and akinny
