I watched "My Favorite Martian" in the 1960s. To me, it was more watchable in its final season (i.e., after the first year, when Schwartz was a -- let's say script consultant). Schwartz says he would not have permitted time travel in "Martian" (used after he left). But I contend a time machine would have been OK. A martian's presence was unreal anyway, so why not add variety with a time travel?
