Dude, I love you are talking about this, RE3 intro was one of the coolest in all the games, the desperation from the cops and the UBCS killing the zombies and then just trying to survive was and still is just epic.
For me the biggest failures of Threemake were: - Nemisis came at set times and couldn't stalk you all the time and go into any room - no graveyard or church - the shootout in the hospital felt so out of place. - no alternative routes or story.
Agreed. The lame set pieces in the game didn't add anything to what the developers decided to do away with. Brad getting killed by zombies *yawn*, No Nemesis sequence in the police station with Jill, instead replaced with Carlos going there for a boring fetch quest to find a doctor with no pay off? Carlos being the one who blew holes in the police station wall, what a letdown. Not to mention the rehashed assets for the lab and repetitive Nemesis battles after he transformed. I can't believe there's still "fans" defending this rushed turd. This felt so uninspired when compared to RE2 REMAKE.
The fact that this game left out The Mercenaries mini game really upset me. Didn't even bother adding it later on. Leaving out the graveyard scene and the grave digger boss was a low blow including the church scene. The Resident Evil 2 remake was way better then this.
Thank sweet lord baby Jesus Capcom took the RE 4 remake away from the RE 3 remake team. The fact that the RE 3 team jumped immediately into RE 4 is probably why there were no updates for RE 3.
The REmakes in my mind had fun controls and pretty graphics but the cut content and "reimaginings" of the original story comes up short and unnecessary. Truly do wish we had gotten a remake like RE 1.
The first REmake is *the* definition of a remake in general. That's how you do it. And they managed to add all the new stuff in like 6 months, because initially they wanted to update the graphics only.
The issue was they changed EVERYTHING that made RE3 amazing... Brad giving all these warnings and vague hints in the original made you wonder what the hell he was talking about until you finally saw Nemesis show up and kill Brad, and then you were like FUCK!, this one gave no mystery or anything... No police station encounter, No Clock Tower... I felt like everyone got so excited for this only to feel cheated. Kinda like when the trailer to the Mortal Kombat movie came out.
Imo the best way they can remake Brad's death is to have him intentionally getting killed by Memesis to buy time for Jill to escape Like imagine Brad and Jill getting to the front gate of the station, finding it locked with hooded Nemesis slowly walking towards them, They decide to climb over the nearby bus to get to the other side of the barricade and get to the side gate, Brad boosts Jill up, but after Jill tries to pull Brad up he gats bitten in the leg, he kicks the zombie off before telling Jill to drop him, Jill refuses but then Brad : Are we a team Jill : Always! Brad : Then do me a favor and dont fuck up like I did, GO! Brad grabs his ID card and throws it at Jill before letting go of her hand. Jill watches in horror as Brad turns around to see Nemesis towering over him. He gets lifted up by the face, grabs his gun and unloads into Nemesis' head, damaging the hood, Nemesis impales his neck with a tentacle, and on his last breath he pulls the rest of Nemesis' hood off, revealing its face. Nemesis throws his twitching body on the ground before turning to look at Jill. Cutscene ends
Honestly when i heard of the sudden release o 3 Remake one year before it came out i was already foreseeing a rushed product with less soul than the zombies. Actually i wasn't excited, i felt it was too early for a new game At least 2 - 3 years for 3. Launching a RE engine game so close together would just make one feel like the dlc. With the new RE engine announced REX i hope we can get a faithful and better Remake that will beat the greatness of the original i will buy it day 1 even if it's $150
Agree about the intro. Blew me away back in 2000. The remake just frustrated me to no end lol. Harsh lesson about getting older is that everything you love will eventually turn to shit. Oh well...
They ruined my favorite game of the franchise. I love you vids but this one, man you spoke every word that I uttered. And to not be able to EXPLORE the city and all the other locations that were cut out REALLY disappointed me. This was the last chance at getting to see Raccoon City before it's inevitable demise. And a rushed project was what we got. Ok so you wanted to get the remakes out the way to get to RE8, that's fine. But why treat the ending to one of the most iconic trilogies growing up in RE3 Nemesis like something of homework you had to take home for the weekend and waited til the last minute to even do it?? Like man, I thought you guys like making money. Not to mention we still don't have RE Verse. Completely trashed thus epic story and end to Raccoon City. But you do it huh, isn't that the motto. Smh damn.
The introduction already told you that this would not live up to the original the way RE2 remake did, and it unfortunately never got better throughout the game. 😥
I remember how hyped I got watching the OG intro of the police swat an civilians just getting overrun so fast. It showed how serious it all was an made you really feel like the last person alive. This crap that they gave us was just a commercial, crappy riots that I could say look like stock footage from any riot movie ever, and a second of nemesis waking up which was kinda cool but still…
One of my biggest gripes with both remakes is the lack of lore diving. The originals were confined by the technology of its time. So being that we're worlds ahead in game development today, why didn't they expand on delving into the lore in the remakes. It would have made both games that much more interesting. Not to mention longer. RE3's run time is a joke. Really don't like that game!!
Dude, I agree. There were also subtle things in the background in the original that gave the game deeper meaning. Like the dead ubcs soldier with a dead girl in his arms in the clock tower, or the battle between the ubcs soldiers and the t 001 tyrants by the rail gun. I wish they had included more lore with the ubcs and the raccoon police.
Original RE3's opening was a thousand times better! Not to mention the whole intro was much better than any of the Paul W.S. Anderson and Welcome to Raccoon City movies combined!
I bought the second remake and spent hours just looking at the details of the areas but when I bought the third remake I didn't even finish the game I just did not find it fun and it had none of the "WOW" factor that the second had. Third was beautiful to look at but you can only look at it from a distance, no exploration, no heart...no good!
I hear that 😞 plus I absolutely hate how they nerfed the main monster in RE3 remake🙄 not to mention Im not crazy with how they designed him in the remake 😓
What exactly did you look at in the second remake? The game was all dark corridors and a very ugly looking lab. Once again with very dark sewers. They hid all the ugly graphics in darkness. The only thing saving these garbage remakes was the subpar gameplay. They did not deliver in level design, story or graphics. They half asked and cut content on both remakes. The only real remake was re1. Fuck crapcom for that.
10 year old me felt so robbed. After RE2 they were like “we’re going to take down umbrella” at the end of 3 “this has gone on too long umbrella is going down” I waited for an epic RE game where the OG 4 would go and infiltrate a mega facility. But then RE4 came around and I was like… of all that happened behind the scenes.
@@arvinjay336 they did. I just wish it was a full fledged game you know? With all the raccoon city survivors coming together to bring them down. Maybe they see the survivors breaking in and decide to let the BOWs loose. Idk.
Wall Street being the responsable for taking down Umbrella, was hilarious. Also, it made sense, a bunch of people couldnt take down a mega corporation, its stocks going down after the Raccoon City incident was made public, could.
Yeah just wastes the story built up cause they wanted to make a action game and used the brand name to do it A random bust in court makes the players actions pointless and meaningless
Speaking of Resident evil movies, I remember the second one being basically a fan fiction until they showed off Nemesis and honestly that was a well done costume and for those short moments the nemesis was well done and damn right intimidating. When a bootlegged movie does a better job then that you know its a sad day.
All resident evil movies were fanfictions because the director basically wanted to make his wife the star and shine. However, the first 3 movies (1 especially) were decent
@@RaizanMedia I enjoyed Extinction, it actually had the balls to try a different story compared to where the games where headed and made for some pretty cool scenes so kudos to them really.
@@BLsurprise While a decent movie, it had to go that way because so much was already so different from the games. I do give them props for having some really cool scenes though
I heavily agree with everything you said in this video, plus I didn't like Jill's personality, they tried so hard to make her ultimate badass but they end up turned her into an ass, my least favourite Jill
Ditto my brother. I'm pretty sure she didn't blow up a single damn building in the 3make where as in the original you could track her path through racoon city by following the trail of utter destruction she lefts behind
@@rastrisfrustreslosgomez544 Yeah, I'm aware You could go all the way back to where u started and witness the city is now even darker with more zombies, crows and realize Dario is eaten by zombies
Yeah, at the Final Boss fight, she yelled so many oneliners and insults at Nemesis, that i really thought: "Jesus Lady... would you please, just shut the fuck up !?"
I initially like the live action bit, liked seeing nemesis get made….but it went nowhere! It’s the thing that bothered me about the original, and they missed a chance to fix it. I was hoping to get some files about nemesis being created, maybe some lab incidents. The Mr X ….lab stuff was cool, but still not enough depth for me!
In the Ps One era, Capcom hold the tittle for making the best intro cutscenes in my opinion, RE3 alongside with Dino Crisis 2, holy shit! Siphon Filter 2 intro was also good... god, how i miss these amazing intro cutscenes...
This was by far my favorite PS One RE to replay over and over. Not only because of the branching paths and semi-random events, but also just how many weapons there was. It was just such a FUN game to play overall. I love Code Veronica for everything it is, but it's difficulty really made it difficult for me to play as much as RE3. Resident Evil 3 was just so amazing as a whole...I remember such cool little things like the two ways you could kill Nemesis version 2 (making him headless and with a single armed tentacle is so hilarious every time) in the Disposal Factory at the end. Also the choices were so awesome and fun. Little details like how if you were a pussy and tried escaping down the hatch in the Restaurant he breaks the water pipe so it floods the bottom (it would've been so cool if he also shot a rocket down that you had to avoid).
You don’t understand how excited i was when i heard they were remaking re3 because i wanted to see that amazing intro remade the disappointment hit so hard when it was just a generic news reel intro i was so mad like come on that intro is so iconic it always stuck with me it’s just a great way to show the city falling and the hopeless of the situation, not only that but fans themselves remake that intro on TH-cam like that’s how much they love it and capcom completely dropped the ball by not including it.
"Its like a disney land attraction!" You're right, it is. Overpriced, underwhelming dreck. They didn't rush this so much as they hamstrung it. I'll never not be convinced this was meant to be DLC for Re2 which had been stapled on to Project: Resistence as a way of justifying a $60 dollar price tag. Fuck this game, fuck Capcom. You can't take 1 step forward and two steps backwards and expect everyone to be ok with it. This game was so bad it dropped to nearly 50% by 2019's Steam Summer Sale, barely 90 days after it launched, just to add more insult to injury...
@@Ma121Hunter Exactly. Re2 Remake was good but Re3 remake just wasn't how it should be. Just like how Re7 was great but Re8 just wasn't it. Re7 was more of a Resident evil game than Re8 was.
Capcom truly themselves are disservice by releasing this game in its current form. I thought by remaking it, it wud be longer in gameplay length since that was the original’s only drawback. But the multiplayer mode is responsible for this. It happened in god of war: ascension and dead space 3. The multiplayer mode took time and resources away from the main story. Capcom shud re-release this game with added content to the main story asap. It’s truly a disappointment especially after how good the RE2 remake. C’mon capcom. U can do waaaaaaaay better than dis. RE3 isn’t a bad game at all but fans expected and deserve more. That’s all I’m saying.
I just love the UBCS merc running around throwing grenades while screaming for the zombies to die, so hardcore especially since he seemed to be the only one doing a good job while everyone else were not prepared
It seems for whatever reasons Capcom be stalling to drop the original games as a collection or something for the current consoles . Idk why . Sounds like easy work for devs and easy money
@lordofligma I'm manily a console guy but thanks. Don't know why capcom haven't brought re 2 and 3 originals to the current consoles. I would love to play re 2 and 3 as I still play the remakes of 2 to 4 still .
@@ImarBenIsrael understandable. Luckily, the gog games are easy to run on any computer. Also, I know that the Series X has a "developer mode" that allows you to install an emulator and play the originals there. Nevertheless, I still recommend getting GOG for any old, low demand games. You won't even need an expensive graphics card or whatever!
Jill Valentine's outfit in the remake of 3 was nothing but a copy and paste of Claire's outfit in Resident Evil 2 remake just the colors change. But not only that they also censored her original outfit. Nemesis new design looks like shit his voice sounds terrible he also looks like he's wearing a trash bag that's covered with black paint.
Her redesign looks like a current year generic action girl. It doesn't fit the time and the story.. I mean she's supposed to wake up wearing that? And they managed to make the original costume look so ugly. Well at least Carlos looks better.
What do you mean?? They’re completely different, Jill wears a blue tank top while Claire wears a red leather jacket. God forbid women wear tank tops underneath their jackets I suppose 🤷♂️. If there are any similarities aside from wearing pants and having a tank top then please explain
Lol if these comments are indicators of the people who bitch about 3make the most, then I'm glad I enjoy the game for what it is while y'all cry about pixels not turning you on.
I wish Capcom included a short movie of the US troops encountering and fighting 5 tyrants at the dead plant factory. That's why in the original RE3 you see a bunch of U.S. soldiers and 1 super tyrant at the dead plant factory.
@@charlesderosas5577 Me too!! Every room is the Spencer mansion has a story to tell. Resident evil is Perfect to be adapted into a show but Hollywood and Sony keep in messing it up because their writers don't understand the source material and aren't fans of it.
Dude, I played the PC version of RE3 Remake with the VR mod and that experience was rather incredible. But the base game was super lackluster, I felt. The intro being thrown around in first person about near made me vomit though lmfao
@@CutestBoyInTheMorgue Ya about half way through I was pissed, even went back with mods and such and just like......hated the game, such a waste of cash
RE3 remake was complete garbage. Literally everything with it was just wrong. Didn't even include any of the original locations of Raccoon City in RE3 Nemesis 1999
Even compared to the RE 2 remake literally EVERYTHING was a downgrade, the replayability, the faithfulness to the original game, the zombie dismemberment, the gore, the boss fights (2 of them are almost identical), less costumes, no option for original PS1 soundtrack and menu sound effects, and even the bonus stuff like the bonus modes being absent, the model viewer not having any animation options or alternate poses. The RE 2 remake is better in just about every way from what I can imagine
If I didn’t know any better I swear that the intro to RE 3 remake was just a normal riot taking place in anywhere USA. What made the OG intro so good was that it showed the fall of RC we saw the RPD getting overwhelmed by the undead as well as the UBCS being deployed and turning RC into a literal warzone before also being completely overwhelmed by the zombies/BOWs
On the rare occasion that I play through RE3 'Remake' I deliberately have a save file that starts from the subway station. The inundation of linear sequences and cut-scenes during the first 10 minutes is egregious, especially on repeat playthoughs. Not to mention all of the walkie talkie dialogue segments you have to skip, throughout Racoon City. Everyone else is getting annoyed that Capcom haven't released any RE Village DLC yet and here's me, still waiting for them to finish RE3 'Remake' 🤣😢
Same. I like RE3r but every time I play it feels like a demo and a tease. They need to add 4x as many streets to it including lots of the same ones and add the other areas with story tweaks to accomodate it. Never gunna happen for PS4 tho, so bummed. :-/
Watching a remake of this intro with the RE Engine was one of the things I wanted to see!! The EPIC final battle with UBCS and RPD against the zombies. NOPE, we just got a live action intro with stock footage of a random riot that had NOTHING to do with Raccoon City....Talk about a HUUUUUGE RED FLAG about what's to come.....rushed garbage
Dude...when u talked about facing fear in mangua (sorry if I butchered that) but I thought it would be AWESOME if when she was poisoned u could choose to do mangua sequence or do Carlos version...having that choice would deff make ppl want to replay
I definitely agree within the last few months of the video, claiming capcom doesn’t give the fans what we want ;(… we all just want resident evil outbreak remake or even a remaster
OG RE3’s intro was arguably the best part of the game. Them making a cringe news report followed by an Umbrella advertisement on Remake was a huge letdown
I completely agree with what you said about the original intro. Even though most people love RE2, RE3 was my favorite. It was so impactful and that intro gives you a pre-sense of dread before even knowing about Nemesis.
I was disappointed with RE3:Make. The original was one of my favorites despite so many flaws. One, being the opening! "It was an ordinary day. An ordinary day in Raccoon City..." The music in that alone is still memorable. The opening in the remake was such garbage, much like Nemesis' attire. I wish they had writers for the new games who reviewed the source material. I'd hope it would make a difference but I could be wrong. There was a sense of fun despite the overt camp that even going in a horror route, they haven't nailed outside of RE7. I can't even with damn RE: Village. 🤮 Great video! Thanks for letting me "voice" my opinion. :)
Tht original intro cutscene was pretty much the very 1st RE related material I've witnessed (since og 3 was the 1st one I played) so it was burned into my brain forever...imagine hw utterly disappointed I was whn 3emake released and I didn't get to see tht very same og intro in modern graphics 😢 😞
Ahhh… RE3 Remake. A valuable lesson (at least for me) to be more careful with a hype, and don’t rush to pre order a game ever again. Even an insider from Capcom also felt that $60 was too much for this more like a DLC than a game. And I remember some big streamer defending the shortness of the game by saying “yea but the old RE3 has a lot of loading time”, that’s correct, but you also have to think about the replayability, the old one has some, but this Remake? None.
Resident Evil 3 was the first game I played in the series the intro cutscene I re-watched over and over I would love to updated cutscene that played the same way with updated graphics. I actually liked it that there was a build-up to nemesis where you don't see nemesis till at least 30 minutes into the game cuz usually I would take my time and explore
THANK You!!! Cut content is the understatement when it comes to re3make. Criticisms have come around to mention this but your right not enough to really point out how the original still beats the remake. Im sure i wont be the first to say a series of you comparing the remakes to the originals IS MORE THAN WELCOMED. PLEASE CONTINUE: your appreciation of the original vs the remakes is not a voice thats heard as often.
What I like about old games is that they have more content and I think its because developers didn't have to focus to much on modeling entire buildings and objects down to the smallest detail. I feel like it takes too much time from the actual content like story, features, enemies, obstacles etc. Now, games like this keep you on a linear path so that they won't have to render, design and model that other half of the building or those 20 floors and content. It sucks. RE3 Remake is too action-y and cinematic.
it wouldve been cool if the game started off in a similar way to arkham knight where you play as one of the umbrella soldiers getting dropped into raccoon city and slowly seeing how much the situation gets worse and worse until youre finally killed off. then that's when you cut to jill in her apartment
The intro of the original was dramatic, action packed and then somber. The gameplay gives you freedom to explore and witness the horror and tragedy first hand without spoon feeding everything to you like a toddler. The buildup to the nemesis and the unwary feeling that he could be around every corner made for a frightening experience. The Remake does not respect the original game and instead of implementing certain aspects and expanding upon them, we’re instead left with quick cameos that remind us that the development team didn’t care for the fan base. Cut gameplay, enemies, outfits, and mechanics like path choosing and enhanced ammo making are all replaced with unnecessary cinematics and scripted events.
ScorePN You know, I actually wanted the video to be much longer since you came up with very good points. I wouldn't mind a part 2 video for youto give your thoughts on the rest of the remake.
what I would off done I would cut the Nemesis attacking Jill in her apartment and have the first encounter be when you and Brad reach the parking lot where the USBC has a helicopter waiting to escape the city with a number of survivors while Brad is starting the helicopter engine the Nemesis attacks where it then kills Brad and the other survivor Nemesis then destroys the helicopter as it then starts chasing after Jill through the parking lot. eventually ending up on the street where Nemesis jumps off the third or fourth floor crushing a car as it lands on it.
Resident Evil 3 is one of my favorite games in the original trilogy it was the first game I played from the series when I was 11 years old and it holds a special place in my heart. and I was excited for this remake but after I played it I was disappointed with a lot of things. The intro was one, Brad's death, nemesis not being threatening, Carlos going to the rpd instead of Jill. No clock tower or park.. no grave digger the final fight being a flesh wall.. I liked the acting and voice acting and the Dodge mechanic was better than the original. But that's it really OG all the way.
I remember watching this intro when I was 9 in the middle of the night as my older brothers played it. This was before TH-cam so you had to write down all the stuff you did so you wouldn’t backtrack needlessly. This game both terrified me and made me a horror fan in the span of a minute. I wish someday they re release this for newer consoles
Ugh, why did you have to remind me that this Remake exists ScorePN? Lol. Great comparison video that further details the disparities between the original and Remake.
I was enjoying this game for what it was until I realized as Jill, we weren't going anywhere near the RPD station. I was wanting to visit the S.T.A.R.S office as Jill so bad, maybe having a moment of her remembering the mansion incident with flashbacks, hell just some dialogue acknowledging her crew would've been nice. Bullshit.
Hunk and a very injured Ada Wong. Maybe if they have them a long DLC where they show how they escape while also giving them the chance to explore, maybe it could have been redeemed.
The original Jill Valentine was a character that grow to overcome her fear and not just another clone of a bad ass female like Lara Croft. He was afraid, but she never stopped fighting when Nemesis was going after her. And she was bad ass as the way it was, this new Jill was too empowered, through language and some rushed decisions to make the villain look like he is nothing more than a ordinary zombie. The fear factor was toned down as the original areas removed from the game. A cut also from the character development, also Carlos was different from the original and they make him look dumb even that in the original he was childish but brave when he needed to prove into the hospital. Also no multi ending, no Barry end...not even the "pick a side" when you must choose your action to impact the ending or the encounter with Nemesis. And about Nemesis, they messed up his original forms, and many of his encounters as his visual design...they fucking made Mr X more Nemesis than the actual tyrant. And this is not a remake, this is just another re-imagination game under the name of RE3: Nemesis. Fuck it they even messed up the title, you know Nemesis gonna be trash when they removed even his own name. (The only true remake, was Resident Evil...not re-imagination, a damn remake.)
thx for this video, you are 100% right, looking at your point makes a lot of sense. RE3 is so memorable and until today I feel sad how they did a poor work with RE3 Remake, the game that I most hyped in my entire life. After this game, I never more hyped any games
I agree with this video 200%. The moment I saw the lame "real life footage" of the intro for this game, when I was expecting an awesome remake with the RE engine of the RE3 Nemesis intro, I got disappointed. The music makes the RE3 Nemesis intro more intense. My favorite part is when the cops are rappelling from the chopper. My interest went completely off when Nemesis showed up the 1st time in the RE3 Remake, and then I noticed that he only ran and did "nothing". I always play every game on the hardest difficulty available from the start, so this is when I noticed that this Nemesis was just dummer than Mr. X from the RE2 Remake. At least in the RE2 Remake, I was on the edge on my 1st gameplay because of Mr. X in the Police Station. I didn't played the RE3 Remake demo nor I watched any videos of gameplay, since I only play the games when they are released, no demos before hand, so I had no idea of what to expect. I haven't played RE7 or RE8 yet. I'll get them when RE8 Gold gets released, since I've been playing RE Outbreak along with RE Resistance all this time. I was just in auto-pilot when I was halfway on RE3 Remake, and when I noticed that there was no Graveyard area, no Clock Tower and no more Nemesis encounters along with missing enemies (like in RE2 Remake), this remake became a complete disappointment. This remake is the reason why I don't care about RE4 Remake. I didn't played RE4 until 2 years ago just to catch up with the story, so I'll wait until RE4 Remake Gold Edition gets released like in 4 more years to give it a try. If the rumors of a new RE3 Remake Nemesis Edition version are true, I will get it in 4 more years when the game is like at $9.99 USD to give it a try. Thank you for your videos ScorePN, excellent as always.
What you're essentially noticing here is a difference in the mindset of the people making these games. Ones that appreciate a build up vs. ones that desperately try to outdo ones who outclass them in so many ways. Ones that appreciate a story vs. ones that are desperately virtue signaling to the point it ruins a character. I swear having watched playthroughs of the remake, you'd think the goal in development was to make the SHORTEST Resident Evil game imaginable.
The original re 3 came out a year or two after the original re2. It was handled with care. Capcom immediately wanted to rush this out after the success of re2make, so I believe it was the choice to cut time on the developers part. That, and Village was still development so they might've also wanted to release it early for that reason. However, all the other choices clearly on the director wanting to appeal more to western audiences sensibilities from the pacing, action, Jill's personality and clothing, Nemesis. Every bit of it was just a plan ol disappointment and stray so far from the formula trying to fit with modern times.
Resident Evil 2 remake wasn't successeded you fake Resident Evil fan, it was a bad remake, and because people loved it, that's why we had RE 3 remake like that.
@@White927 I never said re2make was a good remake. And you just said just what I did, that it was still successful despite the fact of its flaws because the majority of people loved it. I said that the original re3 was still handled with care which showed the skill that the original developers did with it. The 3 remake was the one that is a huge disappointment that deviated so far. And why would I say that 4 and 8 ruined the franchise? There are other games that deserve that blame. If you want to troll somebody try NOT to make it obvious.
@@hatoru17 "I never said re 2 remake was a good remake" You: Capcom immediately wanted to rush this out after the success of re2make So that means you say RE 2 remake is good. I also did not said your liking Re 2 remake however you said some bs.
My favorite part in 3make is Carlos saving Jill in the very beginning from Nemesis, then sometime down the road when you run back into him AFTER he saves you again from Nemesis and he tells Jill "You saved my ass first". Ehhhh what?
And this my friend is the main reason why I never actually played this game but just watched other gamers play it on twitch or TH-cam because... I had a feeling capcom would disappoint me. And I was right. Im glad i didn't waste my time...I'll just stick with the PS1 version.
I'd rather take Resident Evil 1, 2, 3 HD Seamless Original Trilogy for PC over those pesky re-imaginings for 2 & 3 than so-called remakes ANY OTHER DAY!! Only the first remake was solid CLEAR AS FU-CKING DAY! RE2 (2019) was wasted potential with less cut content I still couldn't enjoy it, RE3 (2020) was the absolute WORST EVEN MORE CUT CONENT!
I made a game-movie out of RE2 and it was received very well and now I’m doing one with RE3. I really worked on mixing up the introduction to keep it different, faithful, and cool. I’ve got a preview of the first 10 minutes for anyone who’s interested. Also thinking of working in a more faithful death for Brad too. Here: th-cam.com/video/9IFnaFGVw2w/w-d-xo.html
The fall didn't kill her because she's a wahmen 😂 This game is a guilty pleasure for me I've played it over and over because it's so short. But all the cut content really sucks! They should have done this game proper justice.
The fall didnt kill her because shes the main character that people want to see win the game? There isnt a political agenda under every rock you know. One day, you will have a hero with a penis again, dont you worry.
@@MLBlue30 thank you for having a brain unlike most of the underage /v/ browsing degens in these comments. If these are the people complaining about the new RE games then I'm glad I enjoy them for what they are as much as the classics.
I remember watching the intro with group of people in Rental Playstations when I was a kid (the place was like internet cafe where you can play playstations games with your friends or strangers back then before online gaming is a thing) and it scared me from playing it (I do play it eventually)
Imagine if they made a prologue where you play as one of the mercenaries or rpd cops trying to survive the horde of zombies but then inevitably get eaten. That would of been great.
Other points to add. Jill uses the I'll give you stars line near the start. She hasn't earned it like she did at the end of the original here she had to put up with so much crap. It just seemed like a really poor attempt to make her seem badass, despite trying to set up a PTSD storyline that they instantly dropped. Then both her and Carlos call Nemesis names, like how can I take them as a serious threat when people meeting him for the first time are just calling him names. Again it's like they thought it would be badass but instead it just downplays Nemesis
Dude, I love you are talking about this, RE3 intro was one of the coolest in all the games, the desperation from the cops and the UBCS killing the zombies and then just trying to survive was and still is just epic.
Yea because the old intro hit's you with the idea there's still hope but really hits harder
I've found it has a sense of sadness with it, with so many lives lost.
💯🔥
Not only epic but also scary, it really helps to set the hopeless mood of the game so well
I would have to say Resident Evil Outbreak would be one of the top intros imo, its such amazing cinematic storytelling
For me the biggest failures of Threemake were:
- Nemisis came at set times and couldn't stalk you all the time and go into any room
- no graveyard or church
- the shootout in the hospital felt so out of place.

The shootout in the hospital was actually when I stopped playing...that was the final nail in the coffin for me!
Dog-fish Nemesis is an insult. And facing Nikolai after Nemesis felt like facing Cercei after the White Walkers
@@johnathanross6519
Yeah at least RE2make is a great game, even if it is a subpar remake. RE3make is barely a game at all. Fucking corridor simulator
Jill never even went back to the RPD and that was a special moment for me. So in my book, a big negative.
The fact that this game left out The Mercenaries mini game really upset me. Didn't even bother adding it later on. Leaving out the graveyard scene and the grave digger boss was a low blow including the church scene. The Resident Evil 2 remake was way better then this.
Saying one turd is better than a turd in a toilet bowl is still nothing good. They both sucked.
After recently playing the original they've left out many locations/puzzles/enemies. They truely robbed the fans on this one.
Still RE 1 Remake is the best, the only RE remake that is 100% superior that the original
@@melvingenao550 exactly they both sucked.
Same
Re3 remake was short but not 2
RE2 remake completely omitted the B campaigns. The originals were vastly different.
The first REmake is *the* definition of a remake in general. That's how you do it. And they managed to add all the new stuff in like 6 months, because initially they wanted to update the graphics only.
@@steelbear2063 The original REmake is phenomenal.
Imo the best way they can remake Brad's death is to have him intentionally getting killed by Memesis to buy time for Jill to escape
Like imagine Brad and Jill getting to the front gate of the station, finding it locked with hooded Nemesis slowly walking towards them, They decide to climb over the nearby bus to get to the other side of the barricade and get to the side gate, Brad boosts Jill up, but after Jill tries to pull Brad up he gats bitten in the leg, he kicks the zombie off before telling Jill to drop him, Jill refuses but then
Brad : Are we a team
Jill : Always!
@@tofferooni4972 holy jesus, that sounds amazing
Honestly when i heard of the sudden release o 3 Remake one year before it came out i was already foreseeing a rushed product with less soul than the zombies. Actually i wasn't excited, i felt it was too early for a new game At least 2 - 3 years for 3. Launching a RE engine game so close together would just make one feel like the dlc. With the new RE engine announced REX i hope we can get a faithful and better Remake that will beat the greatness of the original i will buy it day 1 even if it's $150
The original RE3 intro is still badass where the police and SWAT teams are cornered by zombies. Look at the RE3 Remake live action intro garbage lol

Smh damn.

Fuck crapcom.
@@ustanakvids It still says it's coming out this year, but I have no hope for it. Who does?
How the fuck did the self insert shitty resident evil movie do a better job showing that city fight than the remake???
When I played the REmake of 3, I thought the intro was so weird. Felt really out of place when you expect an Intro fitting to RE.
Because in the past, games were made because of passion and to make money. Nowadays it's only to make more money
Dude, I agree. There were also subtle things in the background in the original that gave the game deeper meaning. Like the dead ubcs soldier with a dead girl in his arms in the clock tower, or the battle between the ubcs soldiers and the t 001 tyrants by the rail gun. I wish they had included more lore with the ubcs and the raccoon police.
it was a cash grab
Original RE3's opening was a thousand times better! Not to mention the whole intro was much better than any of the Paul W.S. Anderson and Welcome to Raccoon City movies combined!
The remake is ridiculous, it pains me most because I am a big fan of RE3. Damn CAPCOM with them laziness!
@@chasegriffin5205 yea with the second they had an actual scary monster that tracked you down rather than just scripted fights
I like how you did not WOWing when RE 2 remake cut contents out.
@@melvingenao550 Agree.
You're a rare type. RE4 should've been a spin off or separate series.
Jill and Chris sort of went to that actually on the RE Umbrella Chronicles on Wii/PS3
Yeah just wastes the story built up cause they wanted to make a action game and used the brand name to do it
A random bust in court makes the players actions pointless and meaningless
The original intro is still to this day jaw droppingly cool and remains my favourite media depiction of a zombie battle bar none.
Speaking of Resident evil movies, I remember the second one being basically a fan fiction until they showed off Nemesis and honestly that was a well done costume and for those short moments the nemesis was well done and damn right intimidating. When a bootlegged movie does a better job then that you know its a sad day.
You got that right 👍💯
All resident evil movies were fanfictions because the director basically wanted to make his wife the star and shine. However, the first 3 movies (1 especially) were decent
@@RaizanMedia I enjoyed Extinction, it actually had the balls to try a different story compared to where the games where headed and made for some pretty cool scenes so kudos to them really.

I was hoping to get some files about nemesis being created, maybe some lab incidents. The Mr X ….lab stuff was cool, but still not enough depth for me!
The intro to RE3R really explains the dev's whole attitude toward the game itself.

"Its like a disney land attraction!"
You're right, it is.

The original intro for RE 3 was so iconic they replicated it in RE Apocalypse.

You know it’s a bad intro when Resident Evil Apocalypse does a better job at the Intro than the remake❗️
True, but to be fair: Apocalypse spent 1/3 of it's runtime recreating that intro and not advancing the plot... so...
Jill Valentine's outfit in the remake of 3 was nothing but a copy and paste of Claire's outfit in Resident Evil 2 remake just the colors change.

OG RE3’s intro was arguably the best part of the game. Them making a cringe news report followed by an Umbrella advertisement on Remake was a huge letdown
If the faces were a issue then give most of the Swat Officers helmets and give the UBCS dudes balaclavas or gas masks.
Totally agree with you, the RE3 intro in early 2000s really blowned me away then the REmake3 intro was like an insult to lifelong RE fans
i will NEVER admit RE3Remake as a actual thing,i just can't
I completely agree with what you said about the original intro. Even though most people love RE2, RE3 was my favorite. It was so impactful and that intro gives you a pre-sense of dread before even knowing about Nemesis.
I installed a mod that places the og cutscene in the remake. Thank you modders! Also glad you gave credit to the nemmy section since that was cool.
What flaws RE 3 OG had?
After recently playing the original i didn't realise how many locations were cut, including the Incredibly fun Mercenaries
I would still say the best intro RE ever had was in the first Outbreak game. It is haunting.
There’s…not…a…SINGLE zombie in the opening.
Dude! you nailed it. Every-time someone says remake 3 was a good game I want to slap them lol.
ScorePN You know, I actually wanted the video to be much longer since you came up with very good points. I wouldn't mind a part 2 video for youto give your thoughts on the rest of the remake.
When I was a kid I would rewatch that RE3 cut scene over and over again... it was soooo good!
what I would off done I would cut the Nemesis attacking Jill in her apartment and have the first encounter be when you and Brad reach the parking lot where the USBC has a helicopter waiting to escape the city with a number of survivors
while Brad is starting the helicopter engine the Nemesis attacks where it then kills Brad and the other survivor Nemesis then destroys the helicopter as it then starts chasing after Jill through the parking lot.
eventually ending up on the street where Nemesis jumps off the third or fourth floor crushing a car as it lands on it.
Another thing I personally didn't like was Carlos design. He looked like he had a crow's nest on his head.
The funniest part to me is that the RE3R intro looks more like riots are breaking out instead of a Zombie Apocalypse.
You could tell when RE D3make failed on the intro, the whole game was gonna be a downward spiral
RE D3make, truly the best way to describe turd of a game.
If I wanted to hear someone get mad at a remake because it’s not the exact same as the original, I would have gone on Reddit
Eyy wait RE3 remake review from ScorePn.
It's even worse, I'm almost sure all the riot scenes in the intro cinematic are just stock footage, you don't see even a single zombie.
After this game, I never more hyped any games
worst remake ever, it's so lackluster that it even made the original more precious than people thought, it really increased the OG RE3 in value
They didnt even have to have facemodels what the dev team didn't think about was they could use Rpd riot masks for alot pf background officers
Resident Evil 3 is not rushed, Resident Evil 4 did.
Resident Evil 2 remake wasn't successeded you fake Resident Evil fan, it was a bad remake, and because people loved it, that's why we had RE 3 remake like that.
Go complain about how RE 4 ruined this franchise and how 8 did the same thing again instead talking no sense here.
@@hatoru17 "I never said re 2 remake was a good remake"
You: Capcom immediately wanted to rush this out after the success of re2make
So that means you say RE 2 remake is good.
Im glad i didn't waste my time...I'll just stick with the PS1 version.
that scene reminds me of re7 with jack Barker: "Nice car, Ethan". 18:39
Re3 remake was my biggest heart break, it's shit....
RE 2 remake can also break your heart, because it was the remake that people loved and RE 3 remake turned out to be.
The even biggest heart break is Resident Evil 4 when this franchise died :O!
@@White927 resident evil 4 did not kill the franchise.....
@@xerospades It did.
@@White927 No it didn't. RE was on it's last legs thanks to 0 being bad and Code Veronica being barely passable.
RE Remakes were never going to be AAA games like the originals, they knew it so they did the math, established the budgets and made the cuts.
2:20 The music goes perfect with what's going on in the cutscene. I love that intro so much.
What music is this ? Pretty good
I made a game-movie out of RE2 and it was received very well and now I’m doing one with RE3.
The Original RE3 intro is a instant classic and one of the best of all time in my opinion.
RE3Remake WAS , is, will be a mistake
Don't forget how in RE3 original, Jill ran alot faster during game play! In the remake she was jogging slowly!
The fall didn't kill her because she's a wahmen 😂
This game is a guilty pleasure for me I've played it over and over because it's so short.
Dude that was what i expected i even thought they would make a DLC about that!
This is why I didn't buyed REmake 3.
