First of all, congratulations for your CCIE, that's quite the achievement ! I'm currently a CCNP and I'm mentally preparing myself to shoot the shot in the near future. However, I can't help but question myself everytime a CCIE says you need to sacrifice activities and social events like family gatherings and meeting with friends (within reason of course) I can't seem to see how it should hurt your preparation, since the point is how prepared are you and how is the level of your understanding of the exam blueprint and the right amount of labing and testing, not how much you have starved yourself and suffered. It is a complex task and quite the mountain to climb, but it shouldn't make you feel like you have suffered.
Hello First, I wish you all the best in your journey. Regarding the suffering, trust me , it will be painful to have to lab for 6-8 hours after working for 8 hours in the morning. Cheers

Quick question do I need to know much about BGP routing protocol as someone looking to enter the security domain? - only reason why I ask is because BGP isn't covered on the CCNP Security curriculum and I'm not sure how much I need to know about BGP or if the basics are sufficient.
Hi, sorry for the late reply I know BGP from my CCNP R&S But security doesn’t teach you much in routing . You need the basics in security just to get things pingable hhhh Good luck
Congrats, Mohamed. Can advise how to cut short the time for the lab? I have failed one time due to no enough time to complete the doo. Kindly advise. Thanks
@@mjgritli Thank you for your response, but you haven’t answered my question. Did you use a dump for your exam? I’d like to get your overall experience on my journey, hence I’m asking. Secondly, may I know what do you mean by “not believing in dumps in the first place”? They are there and the exam does come from them mostly…
Congratulations, Mohammed, for your great achievement. If you don't mind, could you give more details about how much the training course with the center that you mentioned cost?
@@mjgritli God bless you and Libya ❤️ Regarding the studying the course initially, did you study it the first time with an instructor or self study from certain books? If so, may you please recommend the instructor/books? Thank you!
Well, I had 6 years of experience before I took the course with an instructor. And now I'm joining the team, I'm a CCIE security instructor as well. Let me know if you need more details
Thanks for sharing your journey. How long would you say you took between starting your studies to attempting the exam in total? Also is there still a time limit from doing the written to attempting the lab? Thanks
I'm glad you found this helpful. I would say, It took me around 6-9 months to attempt (knowing that I've been in security for the past 5 years of "hands-on" training, and already have CCNP Sec.) some delays were related to "Cisco exam schedule, VISA, travels, etc .." as for the time limit, it was 1.5 years before in CCIE v5 written exam, but for now, it's as eligible as the SCOR exam is. all the best

I suggest you start from CCNA, work for 6-8-12 months, go for CCNP, work for 3-5 years, then prepare for CCIE. and no, automation will not replace real engineers. Good luck
I really admire your journey toward CCIE certification. Congrats and well deserved, brother. Is it enough to study and practice 8 hours everyday for three months after passing CCNP scor? is it enough timeline in general or the lab need more?
Thank you for your comment. As I stated in my video, experience is key, The course will take about 3 months. Lab needs at least 3 months. But of you have no real life experience, you wouldn't pass the job interview even if you had a CCIE.

Did you use a dump Engineer Mohamed for this exam?
What is your opinion on dumps?

No actually. I passed the old CCNP security exam and got migrated to the new SCOR later. I’ve been studying since 2019
And yup. I passed Cisco ccie security v6 lab as well 🤓
