    i think when the PGA started going behind the players backs and negotiating with LIV, the players attitudes shifted towards "Every Man for Himself" making it easier for Rahm to make the leap... and THERE WILL BE OTHERS>>>. Rahmbo opened the gates.... wait n see.

      Exactly! Not only that, the PGA demonized the players that left for LIV and they even went as far as to invoke the victims of 9-11 only to shake hands with (according to them) the Devil. That's just about the lowest of the low, in all honesty.

      For anyone wondering which side of the fence you’re on with this. Look up what Saudi Arabia is doing to Christian’s in Yemen….millions of Christians dead since 2015 yet no western media coverage. MBS and Saudi Arabia already have tight hooks in every facet of western life right to the very top.
      Unfortunately when you’re a genocidal religious extremist trillionaire Prince you can get away with committing genocide against millions of Christians since 2015 in Yemen and running all these sports like LIV golf and their purchase of Newcastle United football club.
      This is immoral and if you stand for anything it better be against this. Remember they slaughter innocent Christian’s in the millions and then cover it up yet they’re trying to convince us they’re our friends and are investing for purely sporting reasons.

    Read my comment below for more of my thoughts on this issue. What I like about LIV is: 3-day tournaments (4 days is too long), no cut (all players get paid), high purses (wealth attracts fans and TV), Global golf (new great courses and more countries involved), the best players in the world (Rahm, Koepka, DeChambeau, Johnson, etc.), and team play (keeps players focused and trying hard). What I don't like about LIV: loud music (noisy and distracting), shotgun start (removes introductions and drama from 1st tee), and not enough tournaments in the USA (which is the golf capital of the world). Even if the PGA Tour gets billionaire investors, they had better merge with LIV or they will lose many fans. Palmer, Nicklaus, and Woods proved without a doubt, it's the superstars that matter the most. They had better get those golf superstars back on their tour somehow someway, or it's sayonara, ciao, and adios.

    Let's be honest! Jon Rahm went to LIV STRICTLY FOR THE 600 MILLION. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR ALL PRO GOLFERS IS MONEY! Don't believe any of that nonsense about loving the game and titles being the most important. You can always judge people by their actions. Rahm and other golf stars chose the LIV money over anything the PGA Tour had to offer - history, titles, fame, legacy, or loyalty. I'm happy for Rahm. How could anyone in their right mind turn down 600m! Money is the most important thing in this world for 99% of the people. They all have a price, a number, they will accept. More PGA stars will leave for LIV, I'm sure of it. This might be the end of the PGA Tour as we know it. That will be a deserving fate because of their greed that Michelson pointed out, and because they have tried to monopolize pro golf. From the beginning, LIV has had a right to exist and recruit players, who of their on free will join it. Also, all of that talk about Saudi money being blood money because of the Saudi human rights violations and political murders is hypocritical nonsense. Look at the war crimes and murder the USA is supporting with Israel's murderous genocide of Palestinian civilians in Gaza, for one clear example. USA money is blood money too. We live in a world where many corporations and companies make billions of dollars off of war and murder, or off of polluting the planet with smog and chemicals. So, all of the golf tours and professional sports are full of blood money. I don't like LIV's format or their loud music, but with all of that Saudi money involved it is here to stay. I do think we will soon see a merger of the two tours, because that will be the only way the PGA tour survives.

    When you are offered money that comes from a bad place and is more than you're worth in the real world you need an excuse to take it. The "pga went behind are backs" excuse is a popular excuse. The pga was muscled by gangsters. Who knows how dirty the "offer they cant refuse" was. And the ridiculous law suits, bankrolled by the funds of an entire country. This is the worst thing to happen in the history of sport.

    The fact is LIV is a more entertaining product and doesn't take up your whole day to watch which attracts the more casual viewer. The team element creates more marketing opportunities to drive revenue and to pay the top golf athletes what they deserve. The reality is viewer tune in to watch their favorite players and in almost every other sport a players compensation is negotiable except the PGA.

    • @edwardbargiel1428

    • @leomel85
      @leomel85 ปีที่แล้ว

      You PGA fan boys don't understand the business of professional sports. Yes the PGA has on average 3-4 times more viewers than a LIV event, however what the executives at the PGA understand is that over the past 2 years the PGA has lost market share to a new competitor. LIV has nearly doubled in attendance rates and viewers in its 2nd year which other start up leagues like the xfl failed because they did not increase market share after their inaugural year. There is a reason the PGA decided to merge with LIV golf because they see LIV has a viable product that can eventually be a serious problem to the future of the PGA. If LIV was not a threat to there organization they would let it fail.

  • @DrH90

    Just set it up like soccer.......you have European players that play in the MLS and American players that play in multiple European leagues. Everyone loves when the World Cup comes around, but in the meantime, there are multiple great leagues around the world. Ultimately, in any sport, I want the situations to be able to get the most money to the players. I know that leagues and teams need to be profitable to grow and continue, but we as fans are out to see the players be their best and compete against each other at a high level. I think having multiple leagues helps create an environment that helps more money get to the players.

If you want to compete for majors, if you want to compete against tigers/Jacks majors record you have to play the PGA majors. Liv would need 70 years to create that history.

      As he posted this on youtube that he uses, which one of their's and Google largest investors is the same Saudi fund. The PGA's DP tour held a tourney in Saudi for many years that was funded by the same PIF fund.
