Impoverished? These are some of the richest people I've seen. I pray the developers and greed don't overtake this place. I'd love to live there. Looks like heaven to me. Great family. God bless the Wilmots.
no not quite man. My dad is Jamaican, and he always tells us stories of gun violence, and he complains about other countries getting slave reparations and Jamaica not. I also lived in Grenada nearish to Jamaica for two years. Although we were well off enough, the West Indies is still full of third world countries.
Gabriel Messam Yes but Jamaica still has a lot of beauty and happiness in it and you can call it a "third world country" and focus on the negatives but there's no place like Jamaica.
White Florida man here 😎was raised in the Jamaican community🇯🇲🇺🇸 in West Palm Beach shout out to all my yardies in the 561 down at the pump house this has been on my bucket list for a while now hopefully still seems like a hidden secret a lot of my surf family are Jamaican a great group of folks big up there amazing culture outstanding food truly friends a friend would like to have true watermen I've heard many stories how about some of Jamaica's hidden surf spots can't believe you don't hear more about them unless you have Jamaican surfing buddies❤ 🇯🇲🇺🇸🌴💀💯🦈🌎one love
Our band is called "from the deep"... Recordings on the way... And then spot at 4:20 is Bob Marley beach.. A small beach in 9 miles bull bay.. Just east of Kingston.. Oh yeah it is 6 string bass I play...
I used to Live in Bull Bay and watching this brings forward the memories ~ even watching the ships go by on the horizons~ I am happy that this is happening ~ Surfing and Music Great combo
that is one of the funniest looking waves it reminds me of lowers but it wedges more and has a sick Barrel going left and right. I would love to visit there since I'm a drummer and I like to play bass as well and I've been surfing for 34 years this place I would love love to go. much love and respect from Sunset Cliffs San Diego California
Natty ago da Sea Mon! There are fun waves scattered across the West Indies, and I rode most of them from 1970 to 1983. Nice to see JA, a beautiful but troubled place, being touched by the sport. Sweet people, Jamaicans (except for the Rude Boys)
I was there in 2016 and never saw a surf spot since I was rushed by Touring Guide. I am going back after all this Pandemic gets controlled. What part of the island gets the best surf and is there a surfboard rental on the island ?
what's the name of their band and do they have recorded songs? Im a musician (primiarily bassist)/Surfer and this is the ultimate lifestyle, and he is playing a mighty fine 6 string bass!
I look surfing up because I would love to see the wilmoths enter the ultimate surfer on ABC now currently so they could form a team and enter for next year I would love to see Jamaicans there.
I remember drive thru... Billy was telling Taylor Steele, Donavan, Pat, & others to keep there surf spot a secret. He didn't want Jamaica to be a surf destination. I guess the secret is out.
kelly slaters from florida. theres an infinite amount of days in the future. i'd say the odds are one day a Jamaican will be world champ. Brazilians weren't even on the tour for a long ass time. 10 years ago de souza was the first Brazilian to qualify. look at the Brazilian storm now. and surfing is in the olympics now giving every country even more incentive to support professional surfers. quit hating and go surf bud.
Rap Gawd de Souza wasn't the first. Fabio Gouveia and Flavio Padaratz qualified back in 1990 . De souza was the first Brazilian to win the world tour though.
How does a south facing island in the Caribbean even have surf? Just looked at Magic Seaweed and it looks like there is surf here 50% of the time most months. WTF?

Ya man, people are delusional thinking you need all these "riches" to be happy. Family, Good weather, good environment is what the real rich is.

Good video, but like so many people say - top music as well throughout, so refreshing not to have heavy metal derived music accompanying a surf video.

I remember drive thru... Billy was telling Taylor Steele, Donavan, Pat, & others to keep there surf spot a secret. He didn't want Jamaica to be a surf destination. I guess the secret is out.
