I think Shaq just wants to see him play better like give him a reason to prove what he said wrong like extra drive not this is the sole reason I’m dropping 30 on you tonight but hey. Look a Javelle McGee perfect example although this doesn’t work with everybody I respect because like you said it’s Shaq. Who better to do that. I respect people’s opinion. For one part, I do think it’s because Shaq wanted to see Dwight reach potential he could have. I remember there’s a segment on inside the nba where Shaq and Chuck wanted to explain how to post up properly and mentioning Blake Griffin and Dwight Howard.
Then there’s the obvious offense Shaq took when Dwight took on that Superman name

Dwights played twice the amount of time in ORL & dominated in his own way, but as great as Dwight was in his prime, he failed to live up to the expectations he placed on himself.
I'm not a fan of what the narrative became, but Dwight played into it the moment he embraced the Superman persona.

@@atlien1988 Dwight is an easy Hall of Famer. He more than lived up to expectations in Orlando. He took them to the Finals. He was the most dominant physical force in the league for years along with being one of the top players. He was the best defender in the league. That new arena they built was on his back. The nickname was the biggest part of Shaq's problem with him. He still doesn't like when Kenny calls Dwight Superman. He's a big baby at times. Dwight never disrespected him in any way while he was in Orlando. Shaq went after him for no reason on a regular basis.
