Four family members die in Mbale-Tororo road accident

Four family members are dead after a Mitsubishi Fuso truck loaded with cement crashed into another lorry carrying marble stones, on the Mbale-Tororo road. The Toyota Fuso truck which was coming from Tororo to Mbale, then rammed into nine family members walking back home from a garden killing four of them on the spot. Two others were injured in the process. The police has impounded the two trucks and arrested the driver of the Fuso lorry. Elgon Region Police spokesperson, Rogers Taitika blamed the accident on excessive speeding and reckless behaviour by both drivers
