The name "Grigori" is of Greek origin, and it is not uncommon for people with the same name to have different spellings or variations. 1:50. The reason they immediately go idle might be because the metrocops are constantly fed adrenaline and are only given enough to barely survive. So after they kill Gordon, their adrenaline levels drop a lot. This might also be why the metro cop at the start asked Gordon to pick up the can.

I once heard from one of my female allies in HL2 after I died „Oh, now I‘ll get the suit.“ But it wasn’t mourning. More an excited, nasty voice and in the character, that she long waited for me to die. Since then whenever I hear one of those NPC‘s say: „Careful Dr. Freeman.“ I think: „Bitch“.
Some of these interactions are not unique to Gordon being killed, but are just the "dismissed"-interaction which presumably plays out because the game thinks Gordon dismissed an ally due to the fact that he died.
All of the HL1 behaviours shown here weren't directly designed by Valve to occur when Gordon dies. They're all emergent behaviour caused by other A.I. functions, the allies probably behave as if Gordon as left them because they cannot find the player's entity anymore or it's intentionally been de-refrenced to prevent a NULL pointer crash. The aliens eat Gordon's corpse because they eat all corpses. They took more time with HL2 to actually create some unique behaviours, but maybe only a few examples with specific NPCs in the entire game. Most of the examples you've shown for HL2 NPCs is similar emergent behaviours seen with HL1 NPCs, just normal behaviour applying to the player instead of other NPCs.
The only actual reactions to his death are voice lines sometimes played in HL2. Other than that, they just go into their normal idle/searching states. In HL1, allies act like you've left them behind or you made them stop following you. The gibs that spawn from your body will simply cause aliens to enter their eating animation. etc...
Fun fact : Alyx isn't supposed to say "Look out!" When the player dies. It's just a typo in the script files. She has recorded lines for when the player dies in hl2. But they went unused and in these voice lines she sounds devastated. They recorded new lines for her in episode one but they also went unused again because they didn't fix the typo. She sounds more shocked and saddened than in hl2. Typical Valve moment.
In HL1 guided allies receive command to stop follow you. Hostiles do "enemy down" animation. For aliens it's to eat victim, for soldiers it's to check body. In HL2 human combines just lose target. Developers did not made "enemy down" animation for them. But allies in HL2 understand that legend is now dead. (Probably Gordon blame himself for not knowing what xen crystal would do and when allies respect him, he thinks "I am the one who ruined the Earth." In same time he have no problem with hurting living being.)
I swore that in the CD version (old version) the AI did a few more things. Like I swore that Combine soldier would radio in then do a sweep of the area.

It was the female black ops flipping their goggles titled "victory_dance" -If you die in the apartment chase in Point Insertion, an alive citizen can rarely say one of their voicelines when you normally die in-game. -If Gordon jumps off the first area in Episode 1's "Undue Alarm" chapter, Alyx will yell "Gordon!"
The video is full of quite a bit of misinformation. Only the NPC's in HL2 have actual specific reactions to Gordon's death, and it's only in the form of special voicelines that have a chance to play when he dies. Their AI has no specific way of reacting to his death. If anything, the AI straight up breaks due to there being no other target to fight/flee from. HL1 allies react as though Gordon told them to stop following him, while enemy NPC's have a "kill confirmed" state. For the aliens(aside from Controllers and Vorts), they go back to eating any sort of corpse lying around, including Gordon's. For the HECU soldiers, they will taunt or confirm that their target is dead. I know that HL1 and HL2 were technical marvels for their times, but it's really annoying when people hype them up to be more competently made than what they really are. They're products of their time with features that happen to be ahead of the curve.

-All the special animations for dying in Half-Life 1 can also work on your allies.
-In the TCRF page for Half-Life: Source's development info, there was an additional animation for that. It was the female black ops flipping their goggles titled "victory_dance"
-If you die in the apartment chase in Point Insertion, an alive citizen can rarely say one of their voicelines when you normally die in-game.
-If Gordon jumps off the first area in Episode 1's "Undue Alarm" chapter, Alyx will yell "Gordon!"
I used opfor clip intentionally, because I thought it would make a nice filler 🙃
