Leia and Obi Wan’s relationship is what I love most about the series. Everytime Leia is on screen, all I see is Anakin. She is so much like her father. Besides this, I need more Jedi Leia. I would love to see a skywalker twins series where we can see more of Luke training Leia and see them learn more about their parents.

Plus, the need to protect Leia is a fantastic reason to have Obi-Wan leave Tatooine! Because as Bail said, she is just as important as Luke. Oh, and Leia's adventure helps explain why she was so excited to hear Luke say Ben Kenobi in the original film!

Not too long ago, I was watching a TH-cam Channel called "Cinema Therapy" where a Psychologist and a Filmmaker go over popular movies and analyze them to explore different topics in psychology. Such as "Megamind" for Nice Guy Syndrome, "Encanto" for Toxic Perfection, "Toy Story" about Friendship, etc. One of the best episodes was about Princess Leia throughout the Star Wars movies and how she was an example of a great Leader.

I recently finished The Last Jedi and it occured to me, Leia's lost everything. Han is dead, her son's on the dark side, both her biological and adoptive parents are dead, the planet she was raised on has been destroyed (which means any friends she made during childhood are dead), Obi Wan Kenobi is dead, and now she's lost her twin. Girl's got nothing left. 😥
And yet, she still had hope that she could bring her son back from the Dark Side. She was her mother's daughter... Luke taught her the power of love and hope in the force. If he was able to turn Darth Vader/Anakin back to the light side when she initially did not believe it, could not believe it , then she knew she had to try to bring her own son back from the darkness.. and succeeded. She brought the whole saga full circle. It's sad that it now rests on a Mary Sue Rey Rey, but at least Leia could be considered one of the greatest of the Skywalker Clan.. along with her brother Luke.

Even knowing she was the daugther of Vader, she'd lost so much: Padme, the Organas, the planet Alderaan and her people, Obi Wan then years later her son to the dark side, her husband, her brother, her friends but she never gave up even in her grief.
One quibble with this video - if you had read the Rise of Kylo Ren comic that dropped right before TROS came out, it was established that Ben Solo didn’t destroy the Jedi academy. It was a ploy to turn Ben’s friends against him and set the final push for Ben to seek refuge (and his fall to the dark) with Snoke.

I like to picture the stories of Luke, Leia and Hans ending as they end with three of them, Chewie, C3PO and R2D2 smiling at the end of Return of the Jedi as canon for me, with the force ghosts of Anakin, Obi-wan, Yoda and the rest smiling down at them, for me personally the 3 sequel films are not canon.
