【FANMADE DUET】Everything Goes On - Kobo Kanaeru ft. Regis Altare

- Hello fellow fans of Kobo Kanaeru and Regis Altare
Is it a coincidence that these two VTubers sung the same song? Isn't it better to blend those two together?
Here's my attempt on blending those two together.. Actually it was pretty hard since I didn't have the original vocal track of those two covers, I had to edit the tracks to separate the vocals from the mix.
And one other thing, Kobo's version is in C Major scale while Regis' version is in G Major, so sacrifices had to be made.. I had to tune down Regis' version,, It's kinda weird, but well, I had to do what I should, LoL.. I had also tuned some parts to have harmonies..
The images on the video was created in Stable Diffusion..

Altare stated in a stream that he does not like people altering his voice in mixes like this. He said it when someone told him about the Love Yourself mix. The video they were talking about was privated and management even offered to take down the video (suppose the person who did the mix privated it themselves).
I don't care if you use these shitty AI images that does not even resemble Altare but please respect him.

I have listened to a minimum of three different versions of this duet, and I think this is the BEST one because it's the most harmonic one. Regis and Kobo's octaves and voice tones are different and you adapted everything for both to fit very well! Kudos ♥

Wow.... altering Regis Altare's voice in a remix like this is seriously disrespectful to the original voice.
He even said it himself in his past streams that he doesn't appreciate having his voice altered just to fit the other's voice tone. He didn't work hard for his cover just to get his voice altered like this.
Also, Altare made his Everything Goes On cover way before Kobo did, but he's "ft." here? Another form of disrespect.
I'm trully sorry if you think this was disrespectful, but All I wanted to do is just blend those two covers together. Why I should alter his voice? Actually I didn't alter his voice, just tune the vocals to the same Key with Kobo's. And also the "ft" here is because I used the CMaj key used by Kobo as the base, Altare's has to be adjusted from GMaj to CMaj, since Kobo's version acts as the base for this mix, Altare's version acts as a compliment to Kobo's version.
I'm sorry if you think that way, but as a fan of both, I respect both of them equally.

The purpose of changing the tone and pitch is clearly laid out in your description, that being a strong creative effort to produce a duet between the two - without having the end result be something too forlorn from the original song.
I'm mostly a fan of the JP scene, for purposes of learning the language, but I do enjoy listening to Altare and Kobo sing. A thoughtful, and reasonable tribute to the both of them.

Are these images AI created? Seems like it. Altare's voice also sounds hella fake.
it says it all in the description, the images were created using stable diffusion, so they are AI made. (kobo looks like aqua from konosuba lmao) theyre at least being open about it, so its not like theyre claiming they made it. Altares voice is also tuned down from the original because they sing the song in different keys. some parts have also been tuned a bit differently to try and harmonize the two, since they covers werent recorded together.
something i do want to point out though is that sometimes altare's voice pops out a bit at times, like at 0:29 for example
overall though, this cover aint bad, so i have no complaints here tbh
@@The_Vending_Machi yes, sometmes it pops out since I had to extract the vocal lines from the original mixed track, sometimes noises or pops might be heard. Well, I've tried my best using materials that are available 😅 Altare's voice are tuned down from Gmaj scale to Cmaj scale,, I think It's way below his original vocal range so sometimes it might be heard a bit robotic at some points.. But If the notes tuned to harmony with kobo's vocal lines within his vocal range, it sounds perfect..

Guys, I think we need to slow down a bit. This is literally the first mix video they've made, and there's still quite a lot of room for them to learn and improve.
They are also fans of both of them just like most of us, so perhaps it would be good if we could be more friendly to each other when it comes to telling people what is allowed and what is not in this kind of stuff :)

personally as someone who studies music for my course in college. personally this is all in all a good cover
AI has had issues where they lack any real emotion so it will always feel hallow but tuning and all in all everything else is ok, just the use of AI has been wildly an issue when it comes to COVERS in general especially when they don’t state in the title they used said AI to fix certain things (which to me is disingenuous to the creator and original voice)
All issues I have with this cover while blending both voices is “Sacrifices”. I consider it a massive disservice for an artist mixing them to change their voice or scale or pitch to a certain extent where it doesn’t even sound like the original artist.
There is a reason why Altare personally doesn’t like having his voice altered.
You even changed how Kobo sung the song.
While that, is his music liberty there is a certain prowess in knowing that people should respect artist integrity at all
All of this leads now where. Everything sounds nice, but this attempt should have been made in hopes to use altares original voice and how both of them sung this cover differently as well.
Which to me is their style choice.
I personally would have liked it myself if it wasn’t for these glaring issues.
But this is all I can really say as feedback all in all good cover but how it got here was a little mixed.
My only feedback is you remember to keep artist integrity because honestly
this is a really nice mix, despite using stable diffusion.
I have no qualms in using AI for covers but please state in the title that you used AI to make this cover.
I also find it a massive slap in the face when the VTUBING community is against AI when you used AI for this song.

The voice sound different because it’s on an other key. When you sing a song you sing on a certain key. Because both singer don’t sing on the same key the cover wouldn’t had worked, that’s probably why he did that. 🤔

Your editing was done well, there are versions out there that just clip together and don’t harmonize well with kobo being very high pitched and regis being low. But this one sounds very nice, well done to you

well I've explained about that in the description, I had to tune his voice to be on the same key as Kobo's,, Without his original acapella recording, this Is the best I could do..

I watch 3 mixes of their cover, this is the best, while the other two tried to not change the pitch and key on both side to keep it to their original which is admirable. but changing it this way is a lot more pleasing to the ear.. good job! tho, there's some parts where you tried to harmonize it but failed mostly due to the limitation that the original have. nice try lah!

i do not like this video.
not only does it use AI generated images (which most VTubers are strongly against) it also has such strong pitch correction on Altare's voice that it sounds robotic and really different from his natural voice.
Akai is clearly smart and determined enough to make something that sounds decent i just wish those skills were used better

Because AI art made using elements of others arts, also this result looks nothing like the characters. Be honest, if you browse that pic online without the info, would you recognize them as Kobo & Altare? That's how double bad this one is.

With the resources I had, this is probably the best it can be,, As I mentioned in the description, I had to extract the vocal lines from the original tracks, so the audio quality might not sound good. And I also had to tune Regis' vocal lines 7 semitones. With current software available, the down-tuned vocals will sound very weird and artificial, even tho it came from the original voice track. And also to harmonize with Kobo's vocal line, I had to change the notes of Regis' vocal line. And also since it was done digitally, the voice will also become very auto-tuned, like a robotic voice sometimes..
Well all in all, I might also agree on things that might made this track sounds bad.. Well, there's a process on everything right?

Reading all the comments below which said what I did was disrespectful to Altare. I'm truly sorry, My Intensions were as simple as to mix those covers in the same Key and harmonizes them in a way felt like they made the covers together with vocal lines separation and harmony.
If you guys want me to take down this video, please let me know as soon as possible. As a fan of both Kobo and Altare, I didn't mean to be disrespectful.

I think you focus too much on your own intent, rather than the actual feelings and effect if could have on those affected (e.g., Altare). It doesn't matter if your intent was to be disrespectful if the person themselves has expressly stated that they don't like it and/or find it disrespectful. This could be extended to your use of AI art. YOU may not have the intent of being disrespectful, etc., but the reality is that artists at large do find it disrespectful and a form stealing... and as a result, many Hololive talents have also stated that they don't like/want AI art of them being generated, being posted on their art tags, etc.

Most fanmixes put their efforts to compliment the originals by minimizing the alterations, not to decrease the qualities. Not only the audio, even the characters in that AI cover doesn't look like both of them except of 2 blue haired pair.
