I see you played COP with the ABR mod (from what I seen). The mod makes it that you always receive one of the 2 double barreled shotguns (not-sawed-off and olympia) a Makarov pistol, default loner armor (stalker armor), aku74 and some more supplies. So basically unmoded COP has a easier beginning than modded COP
I mean the long double barreled shotgun's in this game can kick ass, though a automatic gun is much more good against bandits and other guys, I've finished Call of Pripyat many times and I don't think it is very hard, only getting money is pretty hard if you don't know how to figure out collecting artifacts.
The "dream is a predator" joke is unfunny. Watch the Truth video, or just use your head for once and realize just how fucking clueless the internet is and how easily they believe shit
Fun fact, you are not meant to fight blood suckers after gassing them, you are supposed to run. But if you are either lacking survival instinct or stuborn to shoot all non-human entities, you can easly get tools and exo in early game, even on master difficulty. So knowing stashes helps.
