Gawd I love youtube. Find any topic and I can nerd out for hours with some pro at the top of his game. In camera effects are all the rage now in film and we are seeing a lot of LED walls and virtual stages being used. Haven't seen much integration of projection mapping yet but I expect to see more in the future possibly linked up with Unreal engine to give full tracking and movement of projected effects.
Hey thanks for watching! It's very exciting to see how things are changing as this technology becomes more accessible, I bet we're not far off from those kinds of possibilities!
These are definitely cheap although they don't have anything near a useful keystone, but if you don't mind doing the keystoning on software side you might be able to stack them.
I always say to look for sales and stick to known brands. So if you can find a sale on a BenQ, Optoma, or Viewsonic, you'll likely to get a solid projector. It's hard to offer just a single model because there are so many different use cases for projectors. I'd say if you find a sale you can check a review of the unit and lookup it's specifications on projectorcentral.com to see how that unit is reviewed.
I think if you are getting a $70 unit to learn an experiment, the first I woud do is to open up and modify it like changing the fans for better heat performance and 3d print some nuts for mounting rigs
That's a great idea! These would be great projectors to experiment with if you're looking to mod projectors. There were some old mods you could do on DLP projectors I believe where you remove the colour wheel and use the full brightness of the projector but only in monochrome. That'd be fun to try on cheap projectors.
@@TheInteractiveImmersiveHQ Thats the best thing about these processes of experimentation, it's like learning by playing in a safe zone! BTW thanks for making these videos, I can see how pacionate you are working on interactive new media! Greetings from Costa Rica 🌿
@@TheInteractiveImmersiveHQ I Nothing specific in mind since since i'm still a beginner, but that's exactly why a video like that would be amazing, to learn more about that side of things!

thanks for this video! interesting to see how the lower end projectors work
Thanks for watching :) I've always been curious and I was pretty surprised how well it did for $70. Definitely a fantastic learning tool.
Thanks for the honest review.
Our pleasure!
I've always wanted to find one that is cheap and with 4 corners function so that we can stack them. That would be sweet

Thanks,thanks. Just getting started.

This is great! Do you have a recommendation on an actual 1080p projector that is at a good beginner price point?

@@alesegura5156 Thanks! We appreciate you watching and enjoying them. :)
I tried it for a while ended up with a few BSOD-s for some reason
What were you trying that ended up with blue screens?
@@TheInteractiveImmersiveHQ nothing special really, just projecting :D but I agree with all your points, great overview
@@FunctionStore Haha it happens to the best of us :) no one is safe from BSODs
This channel is 💎. Would be sick to see some touch examples applied to some OT
Thanks! We're glad you like it. We can definitely make some more examples!
Please do one about screens, cameras and sensors!
I'd love to! If there's anything specific that you saw, I'd be happy to try to grab one and give it a pro spin.
