    For people that say lakers got lucky because Goran got injured don't realize staying healthy is part of the game. Heat fans didn't care when Giannis went down in game 3... the heat was playing their starters heavy minutes if you keep doing that to 30+ old players you risk injury... Congrats to the lakers they were the best team this year

    • @GabrielGonzalez-kb5by
      @GabrielGonzalez-kb5by 4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Giannis got hurt in game 4. The Heat were already up 3-0 when Giannis got hurt, the Bucks even won that game... the Heat wanted the Lakers to shoot 3s that’s the only shot they had in winning. The Heat knew they were at a disadvantage in size. Lakers have 6 players with a wing span of 7 feet or more, heck even Rondo as a 6’11 wing span that’s longer then Butlers. Heat only have 2 players Bam and Meyers Leonard that played any significant minutes. Derrick Jones Jr is exactly at 7’0 but Spol was looking for shooters at the wings.
      Lakers won simply because of LBJ and AD were the two biggest athletes on both teams that can shoot and drive in. Plus AD guarding Butler then LBJ attacking him on the offense was exhausting. Bam is great defensively and setting picks but he can’t shoot, he’s not a threat but on offense.

You seem determined to not give LeBron his due that's why you are yammering on about "defense" when the question is why the Lakers got so many open threes. If you want to say Rondo, that's credible, but Davis has one of the lowest offensive iqs in the NBA. He PANICS and has a shocking inability to process where the help defense is coming from. Half the time, he turns like a range chicken and backs up toward the basement and uncorks a high floating prayer, rather than calm down, absord the double and punish the defense by giving the ball to the offensive player the defender just left. The Heat are really good scheming and hustling but it’s only so much until size and skills just take over. Plus LBJ at this point in his career is very smart, he’s taken a page out of the Heat and has archived it.

  • @Nabil21667

    I don't think the heat had another viable option. AD would've made huge damage inside and definitely had to be doubled, otherwise he's gonna go for 35+ each game. Bron had to be doubled or live with him attacking Dunkn and Herro all day long. However, the zone thing was a bad idea. Had the heat played one on one defense in the first two games, who knows they could've pulled a third win and made it to game 7. Anyway, the lakers would still win because they have more fire power. It is that simple!

    • @Nabil21667
      @Nabil21667 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Seanus Patricus you right but I still think the Lakers are a much better team defensively, when they want to play defense. If the heat has a big stretch 4-5 who can bother AD and hit some threes, yea then the heat would have a real shot. AD is a nightmare for every team. Lebron alone is tough to deal with then you add AD, NOT FAIR.

    You are right: that was the key for the championship. Heat made their defense based in: focus on James and Davis, let the others free to shoot (they are not going to make it). And it worked in 2 of the games, and made Lakers suffer in 2nd game too. The saver of the Lakers for me it was Rondo: when Rondo started to make points there was no defense for him, and when the Heat reacted and tried to cover more space, then Lebron and Davis were free to score and to create. I think Lakers have an impressive defense, and also Lebron and Davis, but still consider that they need to reinforce the long distance shooting for next year to take burden from the two stars, and also take profit of the immense ability of James to create opportunities for the others. Congratulations, Lebron James!

Money was tight but she taught us never to steal, never to take from the less fortunate and to take pride in hard work. She worked till she was in her late 60s, with it taking a massive toll on her health. She refused to spend too much money on medicine, but she always made sure we went to bed on a full. • @emmanuelenyinwa1443
      @emmanuelenyinwa1443 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      "Uncontested assists".
      That has to be the most STUNNING and violent twist of the English language. ALL assists are uncontested. The ones that are not result in fouls. If you gave "contested" assists, LeBron and Rondo would have gotten assists everytime they threw the ball to Davis for a bunny and the Heat hacked him. But those are also shot creations. Learn the game, please.

    The "secret"? The two jump shooting guards, Robinson and Herro are HORRIBLE defensively. In Game 1 every time LeBron looked up and either Herro or Robinson was on him, he just walked by them to the bucket. The only solutions was to play the lineup of Iggy, Crowder, Butler, Bam and Olynyk because that gave them defensive shape. Even with this lineup, because the fear of LeBron was so great, they kept the big man in the paint leading to a boat load of wide open threes. I thought Spoeslstra should have NEVER played Herro and Robinson together because their defensive incompetence forced the rest of the team to exhaust themselves trying to make up for their lack of range defensively, and if you paid attention, you would have noticed that almost all the Heat runs in Games 3 and 5 were with that defensive lineup.

    Great points all around. I think Spoelstra thought, let's attack their weakness which is a sound strategy. The Lakers were just too good for the heat all around. I think if they had taken away the 3 it would have been a sweep rather than a 4-2 series as the Lakers would have dominated in the paint rather than from 3.

  • @LarsRR
    @LarsRR 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    The „REAL KEY“ to beating the heat, and anyone they faced for that matter, was that they are far more talented than the teams they met. James and AD are too much to handle for basically anyone at the current state of the NBA (GSW + KD with major injury issues), and then you add in a few veterans and voila, you have a title winner. It is not rocket science

    The SHOCKER to the Miami Heat's gameplan was Rajon Rondo in FULL-ON PLAYOFF MODE.

      Rondo doesn't have anything to prove to no Laker fan. RONDO IS A MADE MAN. Regular season is for kids like Alex Caruso and Kyle Kuzma = still trying to learn the NBA.
      Rondo got the Kobe Bryant Seal of Approval, he doesn't care if a fan approves. Got Lebron and A.D. as VETO POWER over fans.

      there are but not D guys. JR was the closest because he could stay in front in spurts and shoot in rhythm. he never got that far. they got morris who shot very well. ingles can shoot is a he good defender? galinari? nope. it is hard to find such folks! hence green was special, jr was special, shump never made that far( he was supposed to be elite 3 and D). crowder, morris have some what evolved. cj miles was a specialist, patterson but average defenders. lakers had troy daniels but his defense sucked. korver is old. lakers might induce tucker as he has shown plenty of promise! KCP is the man now! caruso can get there too! both are top notch defenders and can knock down. but they have to take the next leap.
