You don't need tons of expensive gear to be a good colorist. A good calibrated monitor, a decent computer and an IO box and you are good to know. I recommend mini panels - they are fab - weren't available when I bough the advanced panel. I'd like to do some more studio tours - it's great seeing other people's set ups.

You can set the tablet portion size to be smaller than the full tablet. That will help.

Does Cullen take a grade to a facility or rent an HDR panel to finish if he has to do an HDR gig?
His LG monitor is capable of some HDR to about 600 nits I believe, but he also works at facilities beyond his own set up.
Hey Darren… Can you change the volume of the source material before it gets onto the timeline?
yes. Highlight clips. Click on edit or cut page. Click audio tab in inspector and adjust from there. New level is affected prior to timeline
