Wow had no idea this was here and will definitely make a visit. Really lovely that the channel and this place helped dad and son bond over a common interest too. They grow up quick so moments shared like this mean a lot.

If you go across the A127 there is a paint ball site and in the field there is a remains of a Hawker Hunter T7 jet trainer it can just be seen from the A127 it's just before the Chelmsford/Canvey Island turn off coming from London side on the right.

Interesting stuff haven’t heard about this - how substantial are they?

The Hunter fuselage is in three pieces as far as I can see, it was originally bought to be placed on a plinth at the main gate of the paint ball. If you do go I would like to come along too if that's ok as I am an Aviation Photographer and too would like to get some pictures of it. Just to let you know I also live on Canvey Island.

Not the original propeller the original would have been made of wood and would have been destroyed in the accident. can anyone visit this site or would you need permission from the farmer??

You can visit the memorials by following footpaths that lead to them. We’ll have an article on our website in a couple of weeks.
