I kinda recently learned about this place and have been eating up content on it. It seems to be such a microcosm of the Catholic Church at the time immediately before and after the Second Vatican Council. Church leaders' rejection of Tradition, anticipating the embracing of modernism would create a new epoch of growth and prosperity in the Church. But the banal liturgy and architecture left those who followed the wreckovations uninspired. And now many of these vestiges of this time are empty, while the current youth seek out beauty and tradition. It's a pretty fascinating dynamic. Anyhoot, super well produced video. Definitely appreciated the ambient shots with the rain.
Nicely done as always guys, educational and just the right length to keep us interested.Too many of this type of video show people aimlessly walking around and no real content.
Great video Liam and Joe, the cinematics are great. It does look very attractive in the rain and is a bucket list location for me, so I hope I am able to get to it some day! With the rain and water flowing it gives me Barbican vibes!
Amazing place. Glad you did a longer film of this building. Just such a shame it’s left to rot. I’m surprised it hasn’t been used as a film set. Future dystopia shots right there!
Hello everyone, my name is Amjad Mohammed, I worked in this place for two years from October 2015 to October 2017. As a security guard, I worked in the evening from 4:30 pm until the next morning at 7:30 am. I live in Glasgow and I used to come to work by train to Cardross station and from there I would continue by bike until I arrived for two years. I used to hear very strange sounds at night after 11 pm and very strange shapes of birds, especially in the winter. I used to see strange shapes, but I would face them.
interesting to see the old footage, it looked really beautiful and modern. It is a shame that it has been left to go to ruin, but understand that the cost to bring it back would probably be too much.

SCP foundation will take it over as a facility.
