  • Beautiful day with my family and ended up in hylands park chelmsford. This is the first video I've uploaded that was shot on the run cam split after a week of trying to get the thing installed!! its a very tight squeese to fit into the chameleon and there is no mount for the smaller form factor so i had to make one.
Unfortunately after the epic re-build my PIDS got set to default but not my rates???? thats why there is some oscillations here and there not from the camera as i first thought.
The FPV feed is very good, great clarity and colour, nice upgrade from the HS1177. The Raw HD video needed to be adjusted slightly as looks a bit washed out. Not quite as nice and smooth as the GoPro but hopefully when my PIDS are tuned again will be a bit better.
The Quad flys slightly better without the extra weight of the GoPro and with the better FPV feed its a absolute pleasure to fly. If you are thinking about getting one and you have the room, just go for if well worth it.

Great video, I am thinking about getting the split for my chameleon, however I've seen some vids where the frame is in the field of view. Did you change the lens to rid that ?
Also where did you mount the PCB for the cam ? My stack is already tight inside the frame?

hi charles, i filed down a metal square for the mount to make it the same size as the hs1177, which allowed me to get the lens flush with the bars so there is no frame in the shot and used some foam around the lens, the lens is from a gopro 2. on this video i managed to get three boards in the stack but it was hard work. PDB, KissFC, and split. but I've since changed to a matek AIO f405 which now means i only have two boards in the stack. hope this help you mate.

hi greg, i made a custom mount that made the cam the same size as the hs1177, i but i also had to use some foam around the lens.
