I live with Complex PTSD and Bipolar Disorder. I rely on the Lord and have a Christian psychotherapist as well. I have a wall dedicated to scripture that's taped to it; that has been very helpful as I'm walking through things, especially difficulties. God gives me what I need as I need it; His Grace is sufficient 🙌💙🕊️ I believe the many Promises of the Lord. Isaiah 42:3 NKJV says: A bruised reed He will not break and smoking flax He will not quench; He will bring forth justice for truth.
Pain ,discouragement,shame etc they tend to sit in the heart. I have learned to tell God about it and worship Him before i even renew my mind with His word because sometimes the heart becomes heavy so i cry to God and encourage myself through His word. Thank you for this episode.
I do this too, when my heart is too heavy to utter a prayer I just sit in silent in my prayer room and sit with the Holy Spirit. If I need to cry I will cry and in the end I always walk way feeling refreshed.
Yes I think it’s very important for Christians to JUST BE HONEST! I love how Dr. Anita said that everything works together in our bodies and our hearts. Yes the Bible is real and true, but God wants us to be honest with how we’re feeling so that we can become whole and healthy and safe in Jesus Christ. So When our brothers or sister or friends are going through something, first listen, then acknowledge the way that they are feeling so they feel heard before showing them a scripture because sometimes someone needs to feel heard to let go of the pain so that they are more receptive to Gods word afterwards ☺️I think the older generations of the church made us feel like our feelings didn’t matter because Gods word says that we are renewed in Him and that we have the victory over what we’re going through. And that is true, but we first have to recognize that our feelings are not bad, and God placed us in a world to receive help by community, therapy, sometimes medication, etc. As the Dr. said, if we are like a garden or plants, gardens and plants need more than one thing to flourish and to be healthy.
Im enjoying these segments because I'm growing more and more mentally, spiritually and emotionally. Especially every thing I have experienced in the past 5 years and even now in present day
I'm a survivor of human trafficking and heroin addiction for all of my life. God saved me a little over 2 years ago from it all. I still struggle with self worth and self image. Clinical depression has gotten the best of me many days. Thank you all for putting out this information. I just want to heal bc sometimes I feel so stuck in old patterns. I try to remember how far I've come. I believe it will get better and better. This type of information is so healing and helpful on this journey. Love yall ❤

Father God make a way for me and my sons. As a single mother I feel so alone. God I know my faith in you will get me through my hardships I’ve been facing with my sons as a single mother. Both of my sons are special needs and require much from me. Lord I’m trusting your plan but as I struggle to pay bills every month and as I struggle to buy groceries I ask that you give me strength.
What about addictions and trying to quit. I know to change but the thing is I need help with counseling right now. Its a chemical imbalance and sometimes its not easy to get help with the issues I having problems. I know to stay in the word. I love what Dr. Anita said today thanks. I need prayers. I pray that every stronghold and every chain over her mind be broken, so that your truth can began to heal her soul. Let the Holy Spirit activate within her, we know that the same spirit that is within Jesus, is within us. Let Brenda be comforted by your Holy Spirit that we call comforter and protector. I am grateful to have viewed this.. taking care of our hearts putting God and his true word in the center of it is what we need to remember.. I’m just needing help with understanding.. how does others and myself deal with mental illness(es), and we hadn’t had time to develop and try to help our brain+ heart =spirit from being this way? it’s like some people come prepackaged although we seek help and apply life’s coping mechanisms.. it still is a thorn and a cross for one to burry. In other words some people are affected due to genetics. I read that King David had bouts of depression and there’s a verse that said Psalm 6:6-7, King David writes: “I am worn out from my groaning.” - How can we understand how one is made this way and God created everything and it was good… but we are hurting?
I struggle to understand that scripture, Col 2:3-4. I know its not God's wish for me to be poor, but how can I change my financial situation if I set my mind only on things above?
Seek first the kingdom in heavens then all the other things will be added unto you..the bible does not say only seek the kingdom but to seek it FIRST.❤
