    Just found your channel, am now eagerly devouring your podcast episodes, and ordered Home Education by Charlotte Mason a few days ago.
    I wanted to thank you for helping me truly understand a classical Charlotte Mason education because this is exactly what I've been praying for for my 4-year old!

      Corrina! Welcome! I'm so happy to have you here (and especially over at the podcast which is my favorite thing!). Enjoy that first read of Home Ed!

    "My birthday is in about 7.5 months" 😂😂😂 but in all seriousness loved this episode, mind blown a few times. Thank you !

    I've watched a lot of Charlotte Mason videos before. This is so so good.

    I posted on social media about the will. I dared post that those commending a “strong willed child” were just copping out because parenting is too hard for them😅😅
    Torches were thrown. Flames, there were flames …

      Oh, I can imagine. It’s a difficult change in how you see and support a child!

    You're one of the few channels I cannot play on 2 times speed 😅 love it though.

      Hahaha, no, I've been told-for about thirty years or so-that I'm quite the fast talker. Habits run deep, you know.

    I love your content. We are in our second year of Ambleside, but I've been studying Mason's educational philosophy since my oldest was a newborn. And your podcast and TH-cam videos are my new favorite resources to share with people who want to know what a Charlotte Mason education is. Thank you!

      Kelsie, thank you! I'm always encouraged to hear from another student of Mason that they enjoy the podcast/videos! (It's a good sign, you know?)

    Every one of your videos I watch, I can’t help but wonder the titles of the books behind you! Maybe you have done a podcast episode on your favorite books, but if not, could you do a video on it? Could be books that relate to Charlotte Mason, or just any good books in general. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us!! I always enjoy your videos

      I've had some other requests to share more about the books behind me! I'd love to! Reading is one of my favorite things!

    I second this Charlotte Mason “dictionary” that you speak of! 😂 I am still trying to understand what “PNU” (if I have understood correctly) is 😅?

      Or could it have been “peer new” ? 😫😂

    Please help me understand how to support my child. My child has ADHD and attends a school based on the Charlotte Mason philosophy. How can I help my child concentrate in a classroom with 10 children?

    • @thecommonplacehomeschool

      I'm not able to speak to ADHD specifically but there are a few podcast episodes that might help:

    It seems like charlotte mason is a very liberal arts track to education. What place do STEM subjects have in a Classical charlotte Mason education? From what I have seen, very little emphasis is put on those topics.

    • @meganphy3023
      @meganphy3023 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am sure Autumn will address your question, but I recently listened to Simply Charlotte Mason's videos on CM and STEM that I really enjoyed.

    • @thecommonplacehomeschool
      @thecommonplacehomeschool  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      So glad Megan pointed you there! I haven't listened to that episode but gladly bow out if Sonya has some thoughts!
      For my side, pulling from the classical tradition, the liberal arts include the quadrivium and the four sciences. This includes mathematics and natural sciences. (It's not just poetry and Latin!) Technology is, of course, a new part of the current classical revival.
