I’ve read that the sewing on the toe cap was because of separation issues in the OG versions.
I love these but really want an protro version with an up to date performance features. Ok if they’re not going to bring back the hexalite then put that dmx foam or that I pack air chamber in these. I would also like some inner toe area traction but otherwise then that I can hoop in these as are.

Correct. I had the all black and blue pearlized toe ogs and the toe would separate and stick out. I remember going back to return them for new pairs at footlocker in 97.

@@nicholasandreani5465 so I got the red pearl that just dropped. I’ve seen and have other red pearls but these new ones have a darker toe cap. Was the original that dark or was there different colors of the red pearls? Like I have two red pearls that’s like a strawberry red but the new one is dark like a cherry red and white laces with red spackles.
These have to be the dopest shoes ever. Jordan 11 or these, depends on the day what I’m feeling.

@joejett5084 I never had the pearlized red toe. My favorite is the suede red toes. I think reebok must just switch the color up because I have my 98 pair has beautiful dark red real seuade. My 2022 pair is very light red and it's nubuck. I assume they change the variations on us so they all don't look alike.

You might not grab a pair but another shoe comparison u should do are the fila grant hill II originals from 96 and the fila 96 retroes from 2013 and 2019 too..🏀
