I have the same feelings on “From Now On”. I don’t know what it is about that song, it brings me to tears. Why? There’s not even any lyrics. It’s so good. Brings out the feelings.
I live in Japan and have been listening to BAND-MAID for 4 years, but I haven't met them yet. And I love you watching all your BAND-MAID reactions. So when you meet them it feels like I met them. Thank you Ryan! Now it's my turn. 😁
The Maids entire US tour was a fantastic success. And so many great live fancams to watch! Their playing and antics were as fresh and fun to experience from first show to last. BRAVO Band-Maid!!!!! Thx, Ryan!
Sayonakidori live is amazing, watching Miku sing it with all the earnestness in her vocals. 😢It was an experience to be standing just feet away from her as she sang it is one of my favorite moments from Phoenix.
It was a great time in DC. It was so much fun meeting you and all the other people. I had such high expectations going into the concert and they exceeded them all. There is part of me that can't believe that I was there and another part that keeps saying that the experience can't be over. For me, I have to agree that hearing onset and from now on back to back was unreal. Then hearing daydreaming was a definite highlight as well, you know how much I love that song. Well, before I write a small novel, I will say thanks for always being there to chat about music and life, see you on discord.
-Not done watching the video yet, but so far I completely agree with what you've said so far, so im kinda just gonna type along with the video; Never felt more at-home talking to complete strangers in my life than I did conversing with other Maidiacs at the shows, like I've known them for years lol. Coming back home from the tour was awful, now I have an un-itchable itch that only they can scratch; I'm for sure going to catch every show on their next tour. Another thing; wow they need to bring some crew next time to film professionally to avoid the sea of phones issue, or also, if you want to record that badly, stay towards the back lol, your phone has zoom!! (or like you said, just be courteous and hold it close to your head.) From Now On is undoubtedly one of my favorite songs by them ever, not enough I can say about this tour, all of Miku's lead songs were so passionately performed. Sayonakidori is crazy gorgeous. I've been learning DICE (Kanami's part) for nearly 3 months straight 2 hours every day, its incredible because no matter how difficult it got I was still so happy with how it was turning out, and even today I can barely play it up to time cleanly, Anything BM is insanely fun to learn, play, and hear. When I was in Jersey I was able to stand straight up (against securities wishes lol) on one of the back railings around the bottom of the roller coasters; but I was so damn high up for about 4 songs, higher than anyone else there for sure. Kanami and Saiki kept looking up at me and just laughing at the huge stupid smile on my face lol, made a couple faces at Akane too and she made one back eventually. Still feels crazy, I haven't entirely realized that that *actually* just happened even now. I was blown away at the radiating joy from each and every members smile too, as hard as it may be to believe I think that, they might actually love us *more* than we love them. And the sound! The sound at every venue was unexpectedly great, as well as the mixing. Finally... Please keep up more talky-type videos like this; Super cool Ryan!!
In Phoenix a fan gave Akane a stuffed banana and a stuffed gorilla. Akane found out the banana squeaks when squeezed. Miku’s trying to get Magic time going and the band was squeaking the banana. The reactions overall were great. Then the instigator, Akane, walks over to Misa and the next thing you know Akane’s getting a piggy back ride from Misa. This band loves to be together on stage. Never seen anything like it.
It's been almost a year and half since you found BandMaid and I found your channel. This documentary makes me really emotional. Now all I can say is this. When you cry, when I cry.
You described the show and members as I did here in Houston. I took a friend that did not know the band and only heard a few songs I played for him before the concert. He has not stopped talking to people about how good Band-Maid was.
Thank you, for doing this with your honesty and review and how your felt about the whole experience this was awesome. And we don't need alcohol we have Band-Maid. I just hope they come to Europe and the UK, next year.
Ryan really did a great job with this video! 👏 And no, we don't need alcohol. I had some drinks after the shows, but I just drank water during. Partly because I wanted to fully enjoy the show and partly because I'm 59 and I gotta pee more now! 🤣🤣 I didn't wanna miss any of the show! I hope they hit the UK next year. You, Gary and Ant need to see them live!
Great review Ryan. You wear your heart on your sleeve when it comes to the maids and it's a joy to watch. They bring their fans so much joy. I've probably watched every fancam video out there right now and I have to say that Kanami has really stood out for me. She is a force of nature on that stage. She's all over the place and still manages to play so well. She doesn't even look at her guitar half the time! Minch-mode engage!!
I cried too when you shed tears while recounting your experience of Sayonakidori at LA concert, for I understood what you meant. Thank you for sharing your precious experience. I'm looking forward to seeing the second part as soon as possible.
Thank you for this Ryan. Truly absorbing. I have noted how emotional many of the various reviews have been. The Maids seem to have transended from a super talented rock group to a musical entity to touches peoples' souls. Part of this must be that they are the most unlikely looking group in history. The maid uniforms are part of it but who would expect the slight, well mannered bookish Kanami to be possibly the best rock guitarist today and certainly the best composer. Akane perhaps a jolly cheerleader not the world class drummer. Miku is Miku. A unique force of nature and showman who also happens to play guitar. Misa is a model that wondered in by accident,, picked up a bass and let rip. That leaves Saiki who really does look like rock star and fronts the shows with an uncanny ability to hold the audience in her hands. I think the secret of Kanami's brilliant fingering is her piano training. I expect her slight flexible fingers are steel strong and very well disciplined. One final thought; the venues generally looked much less than I expected. Surely that deserve better.
It was a fantastic and successful tour for Band-Maid. I'm especially happy they got through it with no one getting sick. I got to the New York and New Jersey shows and they were a blast!
Thank you Ryan for sharing your experiences and impressions of each of the concerts you were at. With all the fan cams on YT and listening to people experience BM's live performances makes me feel envious but at the same time part of the festivities. I hope that in concert restrictions are gone by the Tokyo Garden okyu-ji so we can go "f__king" crazy here too.
Appreciate the thoughts and insights, Ryan. And I certainly understand the frustration from the cam clowns. Far too many people in Chicago were under the belief we were there to see their phones rather than the band. Looking forward to the next installment!
Hey Ryan, it was a pleasure to meet you briefly before the DC show. This is the type of recap I've been waiting for from really anyone - something with some depth beyond "It was awesome". This is why you've gained so many fans - you're real, authentic, aren't afraid to get emotional, and you're one hell of a storyteller (just the way you described the street in Philly was so cool. I love someone who appreciates small details). Keep doing what you're doing. Regarding the DC show, it took me a few songs to get into the vibe there because it was honestly the least loud rock show I have ever been to and it caught me off guard. I was expecting to be blown away by a wall of sound and that wasn't the case. I've been to the Fillmore many, many times and it's always quite loud. I just saw Nightwish there in May and my ears were ringing for three days even with earplugs in. With Band-Maid, I took the plugs out halfway through Sense and they stayed in my pocket the rest of the show. No ringing the next day. That's never happened in 35 years of going to rock shows. I'm not sure if it was the smaller amount of equipment B-M was able to bring with them or an intentional choice by their sound engineer, but I eventually realized how nice it was. Apart from Kanami being a little buried in the mix (a common observation from others on this tour), the sound was just perfectly clean and you could hear everything clearly. I didn't think it would happen to me, but I did find that I fell under Saiki's spell and had a hard time taking my eyes off her. I had to force myself to watch some of the other members because Saiki was so intoxicating. I was also extremely impressed with her vocals during the show: she was halfway through the tour and showed no signs of wear and tear on her voice, took no shortcuts, and was note perfect. The way the band engineers in some breaks for her is brilliant. I think my favorite moment was when Saiki had us jumping during No God - I can only imagine how awesome that must have looked from her viewpoint. Looking forward to hearing the rest of your story and thanks for taking the time to share your memories with us.
I'm just happy for you and everyone sans the a hole with the phone who was able to go and support my favorite band, I don't know if I will ever be able to see them myself due to physical and monitory restraints, but I would like to thank everyone who posted videos for those if us to enjoy, and enjoy I am, without out the help if you Ryan, the Gaijin Guys, Vladimir, and so many other people, those of us who were unfortunately unable to be there get to feel like we were in every venue, and I will watch these servings for ever, thanks for all you do in the name of BAAANNDD MAAAIIIDD!
Sorry to hear your first initial experience was kind of a downer. Glad to hear you got there midway through though. This band is something special for sure. When you can listen to one fan describe their experience with a tear in their eye and you start to tear up yourself because we all get it. What a great band through and through.
I appreciate you sharing the human stuff. My wife enjoyed the show, but we got up at 3:30am to get ready for a flight, and walked all over Chicago before we could get into our hotel. Needless to say we were sore. I was on enough of an adrenaline buzz to power through and loved the show. As I said she enjoyed it, but started having a serious back spasm. The security guy initially thought she was either drunk or going to pass out, but when he found out what was up took great care of her. All in all it was a great experience, but we definitely hurt the next day. I also saw you walking around meeting people, but I also tend to be chill and reserved. Consider this a belated hello.
LA is really daunting if you don't know where you are or going. It sounds like you've had an experience you'll never forget. I would have said something about the phone. I'm glad the music saved you. I've had a concert experience slightly similar so I understand. I so wish I could have seen live.
Great travelogue, Ryan. You really captured the ups and downs (that's important, a lot of vloggers only talk about the ups) and the reasons why Band-Maid are so special. The first time I saw them, in 2019, it was a foretaste of what you experienced--people from far away, all over the place, drawn by this magical band. Thank you for posting this.
Ryan, great review, it was a pleasure to meet Vlad, JoeS27 and you at The Fillmore...I am the Asian/Brazilian dude who chatted with you guys, it was the best concert I have ever been to !
Like you, the intense anticipation made me think I'd be in tears nearly the whole show in Seattle, and though it was a great show that I enjoyed very much (and meeting Wave and Rosie and getting interviewed was a thrill), the tears didn't flow until I got home. I still can't believe I saw them. I agree completely with your feelings about cellphone misuse at shows. I stopped going to shows for the most part because of them. I've been to shows where they were banned and didn't miss the distraction AT ALL. I do love Mr. Chupin's footage, I have to admit. I also agree with your feelings about how great the 2nd half of the shows were. From Now On 'till the end of the show was pretty perfect for me. Cool to hear about your experiences, and like you, I can't wait to see/hear them again!
This is why I like your stuff Ryan. You’re fucking honest and REAL. Most people don’t get it and you can’t explain it to them. It is a personal journey and experience. That sounds kind of “new agey” but it’s true. You don’t get it until you GET IT. ❤
Ryan I'm so glad you met so many people (some famous/some not), the interaction & camararderie between fans at a B-M show is normally second to none. I'm sorry you also had some bad experiences, i wouldn't have been so tactful to the guy with the phone if he'd been in front of me. But watching this vid as i type i sense from your emotions that the overwhelming enormity of the B-M experience is just starting to hit home now.😁
Now I'm really looking forward to their UK/EU tour next year. Not just for the Maids performances, but also to see and hear from the fans and Maidiacs.... and you, Gary. It's your turn, man! 🤘😝
@@TomClark-Futoura I'm pretty sure i'll be on camera somewhere, Tom, after all i can't allow Mr B to get crushed by his adoring entourage of followers.😏
I really envy you. I only saw them once in 2019 and I remember being in high-mood from that experience for weeks ... and I wasn't even such a BIG fan *before* the concert. Band-Maid really has to be experienced live to understand how incredible the girls are.
Hey Ryan. My experience at the Seattle show was good but like you I began to start hurting. Being on my feet for hours before took it's toll. For the last 20 minutes of the show I had to sit in the bar area because I didn't feel well. It was also very hot in the venue. The ladies mentioned it also. Saiki was wiping her throat and pretending to flick her sweat on the audience, cheers were never louder...lol. The show was fabulous and the ladies played great as usual. We got a couple songs they didn't play again. But I guess I would have had to see all 13 shows to get all the songs. I met your buddy Wave and Levi from Metalhead Perspective was standing with his dad in front of me during the show. It was a good trip over all but I hope next time they can visit more cities, maybe a little closer to me. ✌️
I'm glad it's not just me that felt that way.... Those unique songs were brilliant. Even if you didn't get to multiple shows, you had a chance to see something special🤘
Let me start out by saying what a brilliant idea it was to hear you playing the background music for this. For your first attempt at something like this, you knocked it out of the park. I was never bored and your story telling was engaging and fun. I think what made this really great for me was the sincere emotion you showed throughout. Nicely done my friend. I cant wait to hear about the Irving Plaza Show, rumor has it that wound up being kinda cool....lol Great Job brother Peace and Love
Influencer: I liked the song when it came out but it wasn't like wow. However, every time I've seen them perform it live from the fan cams, I'm just stunned. The chorus is just one of those things that just punch you in the chest. Great performances.
Thank you for sharing your experience. Gosh... your story brought me to tears :"( When I watched all the live videos Vlad-san uploaded, for some reason I came to like "Sayonakidori" even more than before
The bass hit so fuckin hard in influencer. That song sounds so heavy and amazing live. Philly got wild man. They started a mosh next to where I was standing.
Really enjoyed the look back so far, looking forward to more! Chicago was the only show I was able to go to, but it was an amazing experience I'll never forget.
Hello there. Again it’s quite nice to meet you at Belasco in LA for me as well!! Thank you always for your reactions and of course this tour review. As you like Daydreaming I do like too. So I felt the same feeling when I heard. The day before yesterday they did play it on the GN’R support act show in Japan too which surprised me a lot. Anyway let’s keep on rocking 😆🤘
Dude, you were very personable. It was a pleasure to meet you, and even if the LA show was a mixed bag for you, I was happy to be present for your "Maid-en voyage." And glad the LA story had a happy ending.
Hey Ryan. Love your review. I followed the whole tour thx to guys like you, Vlad and many others 👍.The shows exceeded my expectations by far. Just wonderful entainment to leave everything behind and some kind of personal touch. The Band-Maid family/Madiacs are simply the best 👍. And now I can't wait to finally see them live here in europe. I hope the next year anniversary tour will have some shows here. Keep on rocking 🤘👍🍻
*Ryan,* It was great meeting you in DC and being on the side of *Kanami* and *Saiki* was a great experience and never seen *Saiki* on point and reacting to the crowd.
I went to the LA show, flied from Costa Rica, it was my only chance of me seeing them on this tour at least (also my second time on a plane in my life). I don't remember which song was it but around the middle of the show, I looked up at and saw Saiki almost in front of me and started tearing up; reflecting on how fortunate I was to be at that moment in time, in that place, watching one of my new favorite bands, seeing them in person a few feet away and also after going through some tough times in the past years. It was all worth it definitely and hopefully repeating it in the near future. Pura vida from Costa Rica 🤙 Saw you from the line but didn't want to bother, maybe next time!!!🤘
Thanks for the great review, Ryan. I was very impressed. I watched Michelle and your reviews in succession, so I was 10 times more impressed.😂 The moment of contact between Michelle and Kanami was so beautiful. Have you seen it yet?
The Power of The Maids... Side note: I know it has probably exceeded your expecations, but how you only have 15.8k subs is (excuse my language) fucking RIDICULOUS. Rock on, Ryan. 🕊
I empathize with so much of this. Of the 5 shows I attended on this tour LA was my least favorite. It was great and I'm glad I went. Taking all into account. Performance, sound, band enthusiasm, crowd enthusiasm, crowd knowledge. My best list- 1) Boston 2) Houston 3) Dallas (from balcony) 4) Chicago ( I'm embarrassed to say. But not a disappointment. Still fantastic) 5) LA. Not crazy about the phones. Though they have there place if used consideratly. Dallas in 2019 was the only Band-Maid show that wasn't worth it. Flew 900 miles for 1 night to see a sea of phones. Only saw the top 1/4 of B-M. This time in Dallas I got the Balcony and the women in front of me held her phone high (for no reason. She's in the first row). Then proceeded to headbang. I'm watching her phone jerk around, not aimed at anything. I moved to the other side. I actually think that the phones aren't so bad for Japanese acts. Maybe an older crowd. I thought I would cry for my first show from my first Japanese band. I didn't. I was just happy. But I cried when I finally saw them in Japan. Your point about no Maids performing half-assed really rang true. I hadn't thought about it before. A lot different then western bands where members just hang back and go through the motions. Now that I think about it, all Japanese bands that I've seen give it their all. 2 things I took away from the tour. Akane 's awareness of everything going on in the room. She really takes in the whole experience. That yellow bass. I wasn't crazy about the tone in videos or Blu-ray but in person it's relentless. It hits like a charging rino.
Thank you for this! Somehow it makes me feel like I'm back in the US, reliving the awesome "east-coast-week" that I spent with you and all the other great people I met. Hoping for a part 2!
Thanks Ryan. Sometimes time needed to process, and appreciate things - but this is the type of reflective, genuine review that keeps a lot of us coming back. Obviously an awesome time for you, family, and friends. This sort of review helps us all feel some of that. Appreciated, Mate. Rock on.
Fantastic summary Ryan! Nice to hear your experience. You have left a most beautiful montage with that acoustic jamming in the background. And the best definition I've heard of the band so far, that dichotomy between Power and Grace (it should look amazing on a T shirt). Waiting for part two with eager, thanks!!
What a wholesome review! I thoroughly enjoyed this. Somehow, you keep it real man, no hype, no big reactions. Just you telling things how they are. Warts and all. And that makes The girls shine even more. Thank you for pouring your heart out on this one.
I was at the Chicago concert; it was nice meeting you. Hard to believe we had people coming to the concert from Germany and England, others driving in from Georgia, some from Canada. That says a lot about how much this band reaches people. Everyone I was near were incredibly kind and helpful, and the people who took on the task of trying to keep it organized somehow managed to stay in good humor for all of those hours. I hope Band-Maid is able to return next year, and I can have the same experience with the same great group of people.
It occurred to me after the tour that the Asian-style squat is a much better way to wait in line. People can squat all day long; I work on my feet all day _moving around_ with no problem but standing mostly in one place for hours was _brutal._ It was great to meet you and other TH-camrs and fans, and thanks for sharing your tour story here! Like watching a music reaction, it's a way to relive one's own experience. EDIT: One of my favorite memories is when the line started moving and the guy in the folding chair at 31:25 walked over and stashed it underneath the traffic cone in front of the equipment truck :D
@@RyanMear Yeah, sadly it's not possible for everybody. I'm gonna try making a disposable shooting-stick sort of seat out of corrugated cardboard, if only to see if it could work.
Ryan, thank you so much for sharing your journey with us mortals. Yes, I did cry listening to you. Dammit! I did not get to see them in person, but I would have parked myself in front of Mincho for sure. They are ALL amazing, but Kanami is very special. And yes, she has brought me to tears before. (All right! Ryan Mear is very special also!) 😉
Mearman! Thanks for sharing man. Can't wait for part 2. I know you couldn't rip yourself away from Saiki's presence but I understand you have a reputation to uphold. I will say I did see your t-shirt at the shows I went to. 😆
Wow mate, loved the review, seriously you got me all choked up watching it, I think I now have worked out my aversion to fan cams….it’s pangs of jealousy and a whole bag of other emotions, watching your footage and some others on YT made me feel very emotional. But that will drive me to see them even more now! Again awesome review can’t wait to see all the GG’s chat about this together soon.
As soon as I saw the length of the video… I knew it could not be a full tour review… you had so much to say and so many experiences! I adored the background music you added.. the way you made this is video was just right.. so much fun to see your happiness and excitement and see pics of friends. Can’t wait for the next one! 😍
Awesome Feedback Ryan, thanks for sharing your Band Maid experience with us. Really glad to hear it was such a great experience for you to have and remember.
Great review and cool background music, Ryan 😉How I wish I could have gone to one or more of the shows of the U.S. tour, but life... Thanks for sharing your feelings! Looking forward to watching the second episode of your BAND-MAID experience... 🤘😉❤
Thank you very much for this wonderful personal review of this B-M concerts. It was a joy to watch and listen to. Very well done and the guitar playing in the background is just wonderful and fits the atmosphere of this report perfectly. Glad you were able to overcome the frustrating LA experience at the following shows and could fully enjoy the greatness of B-M. 🙏
Hey Ryan, it was fun to say hi to you, and Allan before the NYC show. Will look forward to your thoughts on it. I had the best time , and the girls are fantastic to see live. Influencer, and Hate? just blew my mind. They both sounded monstrous live. Those riffs were gargantuan man! The acoustic stuff you're playing in the background is really cool by the way.
I have work to do this Sunday, so I'll allow myself a good 45 minutes pre-work, Band-Maid-related quality time to watch this video and it was well worth... can't wait to finish up my work today and go back to watch Vlad's footage or any other from these shows you went and re-watch it at the light of these comments... it's a way to catch a bit of someone's real feelings as things are happening on stage. It's kind of a far-fetched way to kind of "be there" through your eyes at the same time that I know what was going through your mind, so in some weird way it's even better than just looking at the many videos that came out during the whole US tour... So you and Wave and Vlad have been my closest way of being there as well... and this video was really really great to add yet another level of emotional content to it all. So thanks and Cheers ☕ ... yeah, I'm cheering with coffee because I am a coffee freak and always have a cup just before I start working, so cheers!! I'll be waiting for the next ones about the rest of the tour! Also I can't wait for them to visit Europe ... Thank you Ryan!
That's why Mr. Vladimir-sama's fan-cams are the best. He's gotta be 6"5," so the phone is at his chest level. 🦍 I'm 170 cm so I'm looking through peoples armpit. In Tokyo, It will be different, Po!
Thank you for this. Good honest travelog. I can't wait for the New York video. I saw them in Chicago and enjoyed the line immensely and then I had the pleasure of seeing the best fucking rock band in the world. Thank you Ryan for all you do!!!!
Thanks for sharing Ryan. Sucks about LA phone guy, but glad you were able to right the ship halfway. All the travelling and standing, it was natural to be in a weird headspace. Looking forward to part 2, especially NY! Gotta hear about that interview and the cry fest! 🤣
MISA!!!! MISA!!! MISA!!! 🥃🥃🥃 watching you meet Vlad is one of my favorite lights. It was great to meet you and your family in LA. I'm sorry to hear you were in some physical pain.
This was a really great video, Ryan. Bang-up job! I fully understand your frustration at the LA show, cause the same thing happened to me in San Diego. Short guy, phone overhead the whole fucking time. I talked to others afterwards and it was not an isolated incident. Please keep preaching this PSA on proper concert phone etiquette. But that aside, this whole tour was magical. You could feel the Girls getting looser and more relaxed as the tour went on. And not for nothing, but I'm so glad that Covid did not rear it's ugly head and cancel any shows. Great meeting you!
@@RyanMear Bummer. I hope they have a mild version. I've been lucky so far. Honestly, Ryan, you do a really great job with these. Your honesty and emotions come through really well and are well received.
Got to catch them in Houston. Flew from Fayetteville, NC to see this show. I got to stand on the small riser from the sound crew about 25 feet in front of Misa. It was instant chills from the beginning for me. But when Misa started Dice… I don’t think I breathed through the whole song. Dice has always been my favorite. This was an amazing show and I would happily travel to see them again. And you are correct, Miku is one of the hardest working people in the business. 🤘🤘🤘
Nice review Ryan! I thought you would of included the airBnB crew selfie we took but it must not of turned out too good... all for the best I guess, the people don't need to see my ugly mug anymore then the few seconds that I was included. 🤣
I have been to Band Maid show since in I was in Japan 3 years ago. Their live version are so good as good as their studio version maybe even better, I can't tell the different. The consistency they have is on another level. Just too good.
Sorry you had issues in LA, I was at the DC show and I loved every moment. I was lucky enough to be on the rail in the upper area, great view and sound. I did notice you "studying" the band, that was very cool.
In DC, I was about 6 people to your left.... right next to Ohrenje and on the rail literally right in front of Kanami's mike stand. So my view was not much different than yours. The sound was INCREDIBLE for being on the rail. My video of "I Can't Live Without You" was a lucky accident. I wanted to get the MC, and just kept rolling when they broke into ICLWY. And it was perfect. It was great finally meeting you in person, as well.
@@RyanMear Yeah... when you flipped the bird toward Ohrenje and me, I just presumed it was meant for him only. 🙂 And my greatest regret this year is only buying tickets to one show. I should've purchased Philly and Chicago as well, both within driving distance. But it seems like NYC was the place to be - especially for you!
Haha that homeless couple drama was something else, wasn't it!? I'll never forget your face when that was going down, it mirrored my thoughts... "God I hate cities, & this right here is a major reason why..." 🤣
Outstanding Ryan. I got to meet you briefly at the end of NYC and you were very pleasant but I was wary of taking up much of your time as you, Joe, and Alan had something brewing. I’m enjoying all of these video blogs people are putting up and realizing how transcendent this band really is.
It's amazing how one jerk can ruin a show....if people would be less self centered and care about the people around them they might realize that we all have more fun. Sorry that you had a jerk in front of you in LA.
I'm glad you got to see it too!
It was a great time in DC. It was so much fun meeting you and all the other people. I had such high expectations going into the concert and they exceeded them all. There is part of me that can't believe that I was there and another part that keeps saying that the experience can't be over. For me, I have to agree that hearing onset and from now on back to back was unreal. Then hearing daydreaming was a definite highlight as well, you know how much I love that song. -Not done watching the video yet, but so far I completely agree with what you've said so far, so im kinda just gonna type along with the video;
Never felt more at-home talking to complete strangers in my life than I did conversing with other Maidiacs at the shows, like I've known them for years lol.
(or like you said, just be courteous and hold it close to your head.)
From Now On is undoubtedly one of my favorite songs by them ever, not enough I can say about this tour, all of Miku's lead songs were so passionately performed.
Thank you, Symphony Soup!
@@RyanMear oh yea, my names Gage, forgot i never said that anywhere..

That's great!
Thanks Old Mr. B.! I really didn't know how it was going to go .. Started a few different ways before this happened. I'm glad it turned out okay 👍
@@RyanMear Well it turn out great 👍
Great review Ryan.
This really shows how BAND-MAID is such a very unique and special band ever existed in the Universe of Rock Music! LIVE FOREVER BAND-MAID!!!
"The good thing about music is that when it hits you, you feel no pain", Bob Marley, thanks Ryan 🤗👍🍻🍻
Thx Bruno. Kanpai 🙂🍻
@@GaryHolloway-810 And right back at you GH 🤗🍻
It was a fantastic and successful tour for Band-Maid. I'm especially happy they got through it with no one getting sick. I got to the New York and New Jersey shows and they were a blast!
Me too!! 😄
It was nice to meet you too, Jason🤘 thanks!
🤘🤘
Sorry to hear your first initial experience was kind of a downer. Glad to hear you got there midway through though. This band is something special for sure. When you can listen to one fan describe their experience with a tear in their eye and you start to tear up yourself because we all get it. What a great band through and through.
Damn Ryan, why'd you have to go and make me all emotional all of a sudden.
Can't wait for the Irving Plaza part.
Well see if I film music myself ugly-crying
@@RyanMear I'll make sure not to watch the next video where people can see me. Just in case.
Hello!
🤘👍
Ryan, great review, it was a pleasure to meet Vlad, JoeS27 and you at The Fillmore...I am the Asian/Brazilian dude who chatted with you guys, it was the best concert I have ever been to !
It was great to meet you too!
I totally agree to that 👍
Thanks, man🤘🤘
Ryan I'm so glad you met so many people (some famous/some not), the interaction & camararderie between fans at a B-M show is normally second to none.

Thanks, Joe!
To witness the Maid's lay waste to the House of Blues in Dallas
I think video recording devices are banned during concerts in Japan, especially if performed by Japanese bands.
Influencer: I liked the song when it came out but it wasn't like wow. However, every time I've seen them perform it live from the fan cams, I'm just stunned. The chorus is just one of those things that just punch you in the chest. Great performances.
Ryan Ryan Ryan!
Thank you for sharing your experience. Gosh... your story brought me to tears :"(
When I watched all the live videos Vlad-san uploaded, for some reason I came to like "Sayonakidori" even more than before
I just happened to be here reading all the great comments & i thought i have to give mami a like.🙂👋
@@GaryHolloway-810 Wow... I'm honored to hear that from you ♡
Thanks, and yes, Sayonakidori should be liked more by everyone!
I've said it before...Kanami works the fretboard like she's playing the piano.

Pura vida from Costa Rica 🤙 Saw you from the line but didn't want to bother, maybe next time!!!🤘
Happy for you, you got to listen to Hibana not to mention Band-Maid live ! Cheers ! 🤘👍
Thanks for the great review, Ryan. I was very impressed. I watched Michelle and your reviews in succession, so I was 10 times more impressed.😂 The moment of contact between Michelle and Kanami was so beautiful. Have you seen it yet?
Yes that was a great day for her!
am glad I was able to bring a friend to the Chicago show. he is now a maidiac... he said the spell worked
Nice!
The Power of The Maids... Side note: I know it has probably exceeded your expecations, but how you only have 15.8k subs is (excuse my language) fucking RIDICULOUS. Rock on, Ryan. 🕊
Thanks😉
Can't wait to hear about N.Y. 👍🕊🤘
That's the most massive bass tone I've ever heard and I LOVE IT!!!
Thank you for this! Somehow it makes me feel like I'm back in the US, reliving the awesome "east-coast-week" that I spent with you and all the other great people I met. Hoping for a part 2!
Hey, your s good man and a good driver, looking forward to meeting again sometime!
Thanks for sharing your experiences.
Thanks Ryan. Sometimes time needed to process, and appreciate things - but this is the type of reflective, genuine review that keeps a lot of us coming back. Obviously an awesome time for you, family, and friends. This sort of review helps us all feel some of that. Appreciated, Mate. Rock on.
Thanks, Paul!
Thanks, Juan San!
Thanks a lot for sharing your experience
What a wholesome review! I thoroughly enjoyed this. Somehow, you keep it real man, no hype, no big reactions. Just you telling things how they are. Warts and all. And that makes The girls shine even more. Thank you for pouring your heart out on this one.
It seems people enjoyed it🙂 👍
Glad we got that VIP ticket deal sorted out for you in DC.
It was nice to meet you too! The variety of people was nice to see at all the shows. More diverse than I thought it was going to be👍
It occurred to me after the tour that the Asian-style squat is a much better way to wait in line.
I can't do the Asian squat😭
@@RyanMear Yeah, sadly it's not possible for everybody. I'm gonna try making a disposable shooting-stick sort of seat out of corrugated cardboard, if only to see if it could work.
I really hope From Now On, Sayonakidori, and No God become live staples.
That was great. Thanks for the insight.
Thanks Ryan!! Great stuff. Can't wait for part two!!

Thank you! It was good to meet you too!

I did not come across that! There were several names that, upon re-watching it, I forgot to mention. Your was one, I'm sorry about that!
Thank you Ryan I got to see them in Phoenix right up front it is still surreal in my mind best show I have seen since Zeppelin!
PS: Joe (your chauffeur) is great guy - nice to meet and chat with him too!
It was good to meet you, I wish we could have talked more. Didn't see too much of you in the chaos LOL
@@RyanMear Yeah... when you flipped the bird toward Ohrenje and me, I just presumed it was meant for him only. 🙂
And my greatest regret this year is only buying tickets to one show.
Those Philly pics where you stayed are cool.
HIT LIKE right away. Bravo for doing the long form on this one Ryan. Now Ill sit back and watch as you can tell me in a way I can feel I was there ;)
Outstanding Ryan. I got to meet you briefly at the end of NYC and you were very pleasant but I was wary of taking up much of your time as you, Joe, and Alan had something brewing. I’m enjoying all of these video blogs people are putting up and realizing how transcendent this band really is.
mate- bbreathtaking vlog.have a good day-
It's amazing how one jerk can ruin a show....if people would be less self centered and care about the people around them they might realize that we all have more fun. Sorry that you had a jerk in front of you in LA.
I probably should have said something early on, honestly. But by the middle of the show he knew what he was doing.
