  • A University of Hartford freshman has carved out a niche for himself and, if he has it his way, the clock is ticking it's always ticking.
Gage Robertson, a history major at UHart, has a side business restoring antique clocks. While he is only 18 years old, restoring antique clocks is a career that he said he might consider down the road.
“I never actually met someone my age who works on these,” Robertson said during an interview at the main library on campus.

So glad to see a young person who is interested in these clocks! I have the twin to the Seth Thomas in the black case!

I wish to collect and repair many types of clocks one day. My only mechanical (windup) clock so far is a Fossil mid-century styled clock made probably in the 1990s. I do have a Rhythm electronic musical clock from Japan, of which I'd like to repair similar ones in the future. I do have basic knowledge of mechanical clocks, such as oiling, letting down the spring, and a few companies that made them over the years.

Definitely try to look him up, I found a vintage clock thrown away outside side, might be a replica of the original old vintage clock's, I need hands for it.

I upcycle clocks for artistic purposes and really love the look of them but honestly there aren't many people interested in paying money for these clocks any more. To be honest, students in America have been looking at digital clocks for so long they cannot tell time on an analog clock believe it or not.
