@@rawrfishing they make some nice blanks and theyre USA made. I have built a few rods with their blanks. I prefer NorthFork Composites or Rod Forge (TFOUSA manufacturered blanks) but wouldn't hesitate to build on a Cashion again.
I will be exploring those since I will be going into more saltwater fishing next season. I will also explore lighter setups as I am trying to get familiar with the salt water. I Believe I will use mainly ML and L rods. I want to note that the rod here is much different than the JDM/CDM world, but doesn't mean it won't be bad. Power BFS folks will love it!
I use bfs gear for inshore fishing. Any of the CDM and other inexpensive bfs reels work fine. Just take care of them when done fishing with a simple cleaning. Jumbo does a great job with this. So does nick at RX angler
@@rawrfishing the Lews custom lite is extremely popular for Tx inshore wade and kayak. It's typically sold out at local stores. Shimanos are probably the most popular brand with the tranx 150, alderberan, curado 150 and 70 mgl, metaniums all being very popular. Lastly, there's a good size following for the 13 fishing Tx2 reel and the concept reels. Spinning reels are very rare to see here for that type of fishing. It's common to see bfs here. Old 18 has been making bfs rods for a while and they're local. That os a reflection of the type of fishing here. Our shallow bayous, bays, and backlakes really are set up for bfs. The fishing people like RX Angler or MDLR do.
I am familiar with rx angler! His salt bfs is probably where most of the US salt folks would heads towards... Which is probably what I will use in my waters too, but will explore the Aji and more salt finesse stuff in the future :)
Great Review Jimmy , it is a pitty that I can´t get this beautiful rod here in old Europe and it is really expensive to import one piece rods from the US. Sounds so interesting.
Oh yeah, importing US rod can be expensive. There should be plenty of good rods on Aliexpress. Now that I am fishing more salt.. i think i'll explore something for the salt world next spring! So let's find out in about 8 months lol
Don't be afraid to use this rod in the back bay for blues ,stripers and weak fish this spring .I have a discontinued bps 7ft 6 in ml inshore extreme casting rod that I use throwing storm chug bug and the 31/2 bomber minnow
I can't wait to nail some big blues and stripers! I had a few snapper blues aleady, don't normally target em, but they are more than welcome to join the episode lol What I wanna learn is finding and fishing for weak fish!
I wade fish the bay behind island beach state park. Swimming plugs are good for weaks and stripers the jighead and soft jerkbait are good around the docks in the toms river
OH i have been wanting to launch behind the sedge island at IBSP! I heard it was very fishy and motor boats can't get in there because it's protected waters! I believe jig and plastic is my go to for salt going forward since it's also what I do in the freshwater world. Easy breezey and it allows me to learn how to control depth without killing the wallet too quickly lol. these toothy guys been taking my jigs quite frequently. Probably lost a dozen of jigs between my brother and I for the past 3 trips.
@@rawrfishing yes the spot you are referring to is where the sqatters shack is .there is a short road that leads to the bay.good spot to lauch kayak. The only bad thing is in the evening the mosquitoes are relentless
Pretty much every water u see via back bays or the surf! They are everywhere! My fav have been Barnegat bay, Raritan and absecon. Surf wise... Just about any beaches where's there's no one swimming!
Its great to see you paired up with a blank builder like Cashion.
It's an awesome rod! I can't wait to use it more

I will check those too! Thx!
Good to see salt bfs! 1/8 oz jigheads and gulp jerkshads, or smaller, not looking for a budget but a baitcaster that will last, any recommendations?
Go hard! Let's nab the silver wolf! Got a video up soon on this today for unboxing! Gonna go cast test the silver wolf on the Cashion!
video just dropped btw th-cam.com/video/SD7ojaPSHsQ/w-d-xo.html

i just chucked 1/8th jig with a 3 inch b-vibe... it went far! :O
Been looking and waiting for some bfs saltwater gear. Is there a more budget friendly bfs reel that can be used for saltwater?

I already am dreaming of next season in the salt lol. May Into August, I will focus on some salty adventures!
That ML is the most common power rod we use inshore wading and kayaking here on Texas.
That sounds cool! I wanna experience that one day! What reels do yall use and what lures do you use most?

When will this rod be available?? It’s already winter
No idea. I was told that and since I stopped Salt water fishing for the year, I also stopped communicating with em for now.
Where in jersey do you fish for flounder ?

On their website it says coming this fall 2023…
Yep, as stated in the video. I hope it will be available soon!
@@rawrfishing Ups… Sorry didn’t get that 🫣
All good! I got it early for a reason, Cashion wanted some prelaunch content and some testing done. I think I have accomplished that! :)
