  • Learn how to install a set of rear lowered king springs as I show you how to install some onto my 1998 V6 VT Calais but this video will work for VT, VX, VY and VZ Commodore.
    I would recommend using Facebook marketplace, gumtree etc. to pick up a pair or set as it's usually cheaper but if not here's a link to a pair.

    Undoing the park brake causes that whole section to drop without having to loosen any bushes apart from the shock bolt. May still need compressors if you have heavy duty springs.

      @dismissedtub6717 hey mate I'm not sure if you did this or not but if you take the handbrake off the whole assembly should collapse a little and you can wiggle the springs out. Good video though

      @@benjFPS that's all good man you gotta start somewhere, i only recently started doing work on my car and it is quite intimidating to work on it without help or any knowledge. So i only did small jobs here and there to build my confidence, thats why i started just doing these videos to help people learn and even get told if i did something wrong in the comments.

    Wow,you made that look painful, you don't need to undo swaybar link,you also don't need spring compressor, if you read a manual you undo the six bolts on the axle where it bolts to hub,it let's the suspension arm hang down enough to get standard springs out,if you already have lowered springs in their you just need a lever to push down arm,if you lower it more than an inch you should probably trim the bumpstop, but if you keep calling swaybar link that things it might be to big of a job for you

    • @stevennott6139
      @stevennott6139 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @unclesmate that's bullshit, there's service manuals to read (if you can),you can ask other people that have already done it,there's often multiple videos on you tube,there's the commodore forums
      If you don't know what you are doing you shouldn't be making instructional videos

    • @amounifnd
      @amounifnd ปีที่แล้ว

      Series 1 VX didnt have them. Not IRS. Thats why camber kits are needed even just for the bigger wheels.

      What makes you say you don’t need spring compressors? I’ve got a S2 VT Exec, got all the parts to lower it, was wondering if I ACTUALLY needed spring compressors or if there was an easy way to get the stock springs out. Front and Rear?

      @@cpzmelbs idk man, alot of people in videos i see just dont use compressors, the videos just cut then stock springs are out. I swear ive also seen a comment somewhere that mentioned an easier (still somewhat finnicky) way of getting stock springs out just by taking something apart but idk.
