- Well, this is it-our last #TuesdayTour. Today, John Sautter shares about Purdue icon Harvey W. Wiley, the University’s first chemistry professor, ROTC instructor, and baseball coach.
Please also join us in thanking John for all of his work on every tour. We’re going to miss his insights every other Tuesday, but his retirement is well deserved. We are #EverGrateful for you, John! #HailPurdue

Thanks John, sorry I never got the chance to meet you in person while I was at Purdue (BS CPT 94), but I love watching these videos to remember my wonderful days on campus at Purdue. I lived in Harrison, Tarkington and Hillenbrand Halls while I was there and loved being in the Purdue residence halls! Hail Purdue!
John, thank you so much for your long time dedication to Purdue. It was a pleasure interacting with you when I was a student living in Harrison Hall back in the mid-1980's. Additionally, these tours have been a great way to "come back" to campus and an opportunity to learn more about the university we so dearly love. Wishing you all the best on your retirement. Enjoy it. You deserved it! Hail Purdue
