now Charlie has reached the end of its life in a few weeks Pioneer Spirit will lift it off its legs and the rig will be scrapped.

Third time is a charm !
40 years ago the idea was to make permanant. now you pay for it maybe we cam learm something in all of this about removing structures that are not so permanent building in to them future preplaned break down points. may save on costs when the time comes to be removed.... Just a thought? Mark e.
