They really are quite the spectacle on London streets. Year after year I'd turn the calendar page and realise I'd missed it. Other years I'd over sleep or find I was too early for the trains. I've only seen them on the Sunday a couple of times so this Saturday show has been lovely.

After hearing all those veterans popping and banging, I understand why Rolls and Daimler were so obsessed with quiet engines.
We're now in the era where they add sound back into the cabin.
The steam one was so quiet. Alas my film clip of it was actually silent as I'd pressed the wrong button and filmed in slow motion.
