I am so glad to have found these podcasts! I love to know the technical side behind my favorite shows. My family doesn't get it, they believe it removes the magic. I disagree, I think it only adds to it.
@49:00 - I think the key is that instead of there being a specifically mandated stylistic "look" to Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul, it's that while each scene can be shot very differently, there's always an emphasis on artistically framing the "look". So when I say that shows like Mad Dogs are influenced by you guys - it's not that they're copying a specific "look" - it's that they're creatively aware of having a look in the first place. What you've done is to raise the bar for the amount of visual care and artistry a great show is expected to contain.
Chuck's problem is that now that Jimmy is a lawyer, there's nothing that differentiates himself from his brother. In Chuck's mind even though Jimmy was always able to make 'Mom laugh', at least Chuck could say to himself, well at least I've accomplished becoming a lawyer and THAT is superior to 'making mom laugh'. But oh no - Jimmy passed the bar, what does that make Chuck now? In his mind now he's LESS than Jimmy.
This season has had me on the edge of my seat. last episode specially...I loved it so much that I dreamed of the episode and how I was trying to get people to see the show. It kind of sadden me because it made me feel like the show could end soon -God I hope not- since Jimmy could finally be starting to become Saul.
These podcasts are basically all of them saying "We're the best show, every other show is bad, look this is why we're a better show than most shows!" but I don't even mind because they're absolutely correct lol
@14:00 - Agree that Chicanery is definitely one of the best episodes ever, but Five-o still gets my vote for top honors - that one still gives me chills. Also hoping to see more of Huell - that dude is one of the best facial expression actors I've seen. But get him a fat suit as the time frame progresses so he doesn't have to method act all that weight back - he looks way healthier now.
..... buzzzz .... bbrrrzzzzz .... EXIT ... bburrzzzz ... bbrrrzzzzz ..... remember me jumpin' up from my divan, giving thumps up to the screen .... I AM NOT CRAZY!!
1:10:33 So Lavell just lost a bunch a weight? I did suspect Huell looked much different from his future self and I thought did some effect or something but it was just the perfect storm of coincidence...
Michael during that long outburst at the end is a masterclass....paranoia, anger, resentment, sadness all in about two minutes
Just seen it, catching up. It's perfect!
Seriously. I am a big fan of everything about this group's works. Love you guys.
Checking in from the future. This fucking show only has gotten better.
I've pretty much worked out the average ratio of these podcasts: 25% information, and 75% telling us how great and wonderful they all are.

How about now with season 4 and 5 having been out?
Thank you
I think this is the best Insider Podcast you guys have ever done - I hate to say it, but it's way better when there's no actor on the panel.
Unless the actor is Banks, he's great
Did Peter Gould just say the 'infancy' of fandom on the internet took place circa 2016?

Gordon Smith is the best writer on this show
STRAWBERRIES!
Can y'all compress the master track of the podcast and then push it close to 0db for us listening in loud places with quiet speakers?
Thanks!
Please do what this guy said!
And edit out Kelley Dixon while you're at it? The thing would be half as long and twice as interesting.
