Mazunte, Zipolite, and Puerto Angel in the state of Oaxaca are not overrun by tourists like the country's more famous beaches, so they are great places to have a more local experience while enjoying the sand and surf. Mazunte and Zipolite are known for their laid-back attitude and hippie spirit.

Wow! Thanks for sharing all this information, i found this video very helpful! I will be traveling to Oaxaca on Wendesday 16 and i readed that taxis taken from the Huatulco's Airport are so expensive, so i was considerating taking a trip from there to San Pedro Pochutla in public transport and then taking a bus to Mazunte/Zipolite. I will start my vacation days at Mazunte so.. That means that i have to take Route 1? Route 2 does not pass through Mazunte as well? Greetings from Mexico City! :D

I'd like Mazunte but see no supermarkets no mercados to buy fruits nearby, are there anything or need to drive pochutla everytime ?

Fruit and vegetables are plentiful in Mazunte. The stores are all small. No supermarkets.
