  • 🎬 Title: Conductive Ink: How to Screen Print a Heating Element. Pt 2: Printing!
🔍 Description: Welcome to NovaCentrix! In this 1:49 video, Ian Rawson, applications engineer, continues a 3-part mini-project of making a printed, flexible heating element on polyimide film. He jumps right in here with loading the screen printer with the water-based silver conductive ink Metalon® HPS-FG32.
The Metalon® HPS-FG32 water-based silver conductive ink he uses can be found here:
This ink has been specifically formulated for screen-printing for flexible applications, with:
    - Relatively long screen time for extended printing steps, without drying too soon
    - Demonstrates some stretchability, for reliable use
NovaCentrix offers the versatile screen print kit on our webstore here:
    www.novacentri...
    🔥 Key Highlights:
    • Applying the ink to the printer: Ian demonstrates how to form the right size of ink bead.
    • Prep the squeegee and flood the image: It is important to preload the screen with the conductive ink.
    • Use the squeegee to drawdown the ink: Be sure to use enough force, then release the screen from the image. Re-flood the screen before you pull off the squeegee.
    • Repeat.
    • Be sure to watch part 3!

We suggest ordering the NovaCentrix screen kit:
store.novacentrix.com/Screen-printed-electronics-starter-kit-p/910-0092-01.htm (FG32 is available as an optional addition to that kit)
For a custom screen from a professional manufacturer you may contact Mallory Mackenzie at UTZ (cad@utz.com) or you may have a screen made at your local art store.
If you have a screen printer available and an interest in making your own screen you can purchase a screen kit from speedball:
      www.amazon.com/Speedball-Advanced-All-Screen-Printing/dp/B007W6SAD4/ref=pd_cp_201_3?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=ef4dc990-a9ca-4945-ae0b-f8d549198ed6&pf_rd_r=MBZXWBFRJ0YM0E9CPX3K&pd_rd_wg=BMpDg&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&pd_rd_w=2bGda&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pd_rd_r=2cb4eb8a-ec16-11e8-b5ba-5dfed4e35b83&pd_rd_i=B007W6SAD4&psc=1&refRID=MBZXWBFRJ0YM0E9CPX3K
