    Love seeing you do a video at one of the shows. And I am pleasantly surprised over you featuring a little bit the HO cars which I am really involved with. All I can say is don’t knock it till you try it! They’re fun they’re fast and even though they’re small you can see the kind of detail that AFX is putting into making their car bodies. Just bought two Ford GT 40s from them.

      Right Brandon, As was said in the video there are probably more guys like you into HO cars because so many more boys had their own home sets in HO back when we were kids. Thanks for your comments. Please go back and share the video with your friends, and don't forget to subscribe my friend! Yes sir a great season for our improving Lions.

    Great video! Thank you for sharing. I just subscribed. I would like to mention that in the Aurora HO Scale section, you picked up a pink car (next to the Yellow motorcycle). That is actually an Aurora “Trike” which was made in 1970 or so. That one is missing the steering wheel with extended chrome forks and small front wheel. The person driving it depicts a “Hippie” from that era. It came in Pink and in Green. In just good condition they can fetch a minimum of $225. Also, the gentleman that has the NOS AFX Pit cases, said they were stored in the basement of a place in Brooklyn. Most likely it came from Buzz A Rama in Brooklyn. I see another gentleman wearing the Buzz A Rama T-shirt and another spoke about Buzz A Rama. He was correct when he told you the owner had purchased the building and was able to stay in business for many years. (Almost 60). Unfortunately both Frank (Buzz) Peri and his wife Delores passed away in 2021 from Covid. Their son Frank Jr. continued to run the business until last year (2022) but had close the business because the property taxes were too high and the business couldn’t cover it. (Imagine that? And they owned the building!) A ton of vintage new old stock (NOS) was sold from his store basement, snapped up by many dealers all over. I grew up in Queens NY and was fortunate enough to be only 1/2 hour drive from Buzz A Rama in Brooklyn and 1/2 hour drive to the Aurora plant in Hempstead Long Island. My parents would occasionally drive my brother Steve and I to purchase slot cars at both places. We wound up collecting thousands of slot cars over the years in different scales. I’ve started selling our collection on eBay since last year and I must say the interest in these cars remains strong and they are bringing in very good prices. By the way, Ebay is getting very expensive to do business with and I’m looking for alternatives. There aren’t many toy/flea markets in the NY area. Anyway, I thank you again for uploading a great video and look forward to seeing more content from you. Be well! Regards, Joe

    BTW uncle Jim, do u remember TCR tracks n cars ? Or Total Control Racing as they were known. They had just two lanes but three cars. Two racing and one car swapping lanes whenever it wanted and ran slower, so it was like trying too pass lap traffic.
    They not really classed as slot cars cos with (I think) a flick of a switch u could swap lanes at any time.
    But I’m talking about 40+ years ago and the old grey matter isn’t what it used too be in holding memories 😂 ✌️🇬🇧

    • @jimmyattard1446
      @jimmyattard1446 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I remember right Mark the TCR tracks were 1/24 AMT sets that had the 3 cars switching lanes. But, I never saw a set in action. Maybe I am wrong. Hopefully someone who knows more can comment. Please go back and share the video with your friends, and don't forget to subscribe my friend!

    Man being 55 today and growing up loving slot cars, I'm really surprised that the hobby is sort of dying out. The younger generation ( My son is 32 ) has "NO" desire or interest at all with slot cars. I told him recently that when I'm gone he'll have a cool collection and he basically said sorry dad but they'll most likely just get sold lol.
    To all of you reading this, what is the holy grail of slot cars ? I've always loved them but only recently got back into it after I bought a large box of 60's-70's cars, chassis', and parts which I have a tough time finding info on but I think that's just educating myself a little more, so that's my question.... WHAT DO YOU THINK ARE THE HOLY GRAILS OF SLOT CARS ? I'm really surprised the average price is around $40.00 from what I've been seeing.
    Cheers everyone from Vancouver Island Canada..

    It’s a shame that all the guys are my age or older. It’s only u guys filming that are younger, but u don’t see any kids/teens bringing up the rear or keeping it going as it were.
    Seems as though when we’re in our own boxes 😂 this will all just fade away and be gone😢 ✌️🇬🇧
