I love this kid. He is the real standard for how to do TH-cam channels the right way. I actually enjoy the moments he focuses on himself because he is so real and genuine and does it in a way that shows him as a racer with great knowledge vs some dude who just wants to be famous for fame sake.
I can't believe with all the carbo fiber, plexiglass, stripped out interior and it still weighs 3400lbs Dude man, it's a racecar. It should be more than 250lbs reduction from the Shelby.
I was thinking the same. The added roll bars/race cage. Race gas tank and probably other added equipment I'm guessing negates the other weight savings. I wonder how much difference it would make if they had the race cage made out of titanium.
Just looking at the 4 point S550 Watson cage. That is 73 pounds. So the full race cage, even if you were to just double that. That is 146 lbs. But looking at how much more steel there is in the full cage, I wouldn't be surprised if it was 3 times. That would be 219lbs.
I'm going to say they had added ballast to frame to meet the 3400lb weight limit. Race cars typically always weigh less than the minimum weight, hence they add ballast to meet weight and they place it at the optimal place on the frame for optimal balance.
You should get another Mustang for your content. I'm a car guy but it will be nice to have content with a car affordable for people. Go back to your roots😂😂.

Some IMSA history on the car would be cool to know. Was it prepped by Multimatic? What number is it off of Ford Race Build from the factory? You should be a fan of any race car build no matter the brand.

I am a noti-gang and haven't ever missed a video and have actually watched some of my favorite videos 100's of times and would love to maybe see a video on your opinions on certain cars in retrospect both good and bad. I appreciate your consistency in putting out quality content. However, I haven't watched any videos since the McLaren content. For someone like myself supercars/hypercars are cars I can't relate to, knowing I will never own one , heck may not ever see one IRL Yes, I'm a Ford Fanboy but I'm also not a hater on other manufacturers/brands like Chevy, Dodge, and etc.... Neways thanks for the way you interact with us fans you make it feel like we are actually friends. I'm sure you will probably never see this but just wanted to thank you for all the work you put into helping us car fans during covid 19 lockdown. I looked forward to ur videos and they definitely helped me personally get through some really tough times! Could be wrong but I think IIMSA has weight requirements as well as HP and TQ and all the safety stuff
