Just finished watching the movie. Seen it probably half a dozen times. This song perfectly encapsulates the films raw and brutally honest theme. The scene where Billy is shooting up in the back of the van whilst his mum watches as this tracks floats in the background is still one of the most powerful scenes I’ve seen in cinema. Great OST.

Incredible track, from such an incredible film, peculiar groove has followed me ever since caught the film at an art house cinema club in Torquay library in the ‘90’s , the music was chosen just as well as the writing, direction and cast performances were!, only O’ brother where art thou and more recently guardians of the galaxy since then have been able to do something similar with their respective soundtracks... if you haven’t seen Nil by mouth you are missing out on some groundbreaking real life British drama brought to you by the very best in the game. Big love to anybody reading this who are now thinking about watching the movie or just love it as much as I do! ✊

I don't get scared often by films, horror just sort of washes over me, but this film really shit me up. The way it depicts domestic violence so utterly convincingly and lets all the logical emotional consequences of it for the characters play out in front of you is really shocking.
