@Mikeityourself yes. I see you can order brackets for it. I just cut mine off about an inch pass the chrome cover and will pick up some chrome caps for it. Waiting for my quick release seat and if I have room I'm putting a 3 hole lay down plate just above the taillight.
So far no problems with the frame flexing. Installed the 2 brackets on the side and looks so much better got a lay down plate for it also. This bike is an 88" with big bore 98" 108 tq & 105 hp. No problems at all
I was kinda thinking the same. I need to do a bit of homework but hoping I can find someone who sells one that sits lower than the standard stuff. Figure it might help camouflage it a bit more.
To save your future self some damage take a file to the edges a little bit from both angles and round the metal a bit. Can use some sand paper on a block too and do the same thing. Just need to knock down the sharp edges a bit.
Got to admit, I was caught up in the moment of install that I skipped doing that. You're 100% on point, could have saved myself some blood and stress by doing it. Thanks for watching MCK.
@@Mikeityourself absolutely. I always try and help support others within the community. The plate relocation kit makes it such a cleaner look in my opinion.
Hey Man. Just wondering if the bracket would go under the tail light bar by just removing the two bolts instead of having to take tail light apart and unhooking the wires? Thanks for the video. I want to do this to my Electra Glide Looks so much better. 😎
You might be able to get away with it. If I recall there isn't any slack in the wire and you might not be able to pull the bar away from the fender enough. Whatever you do, make sure you file the edges of the bracket before trying to slide it under the bar. No joke, the edges were crazy sharp and will easily scratch paint. Good luck
I been trying to find a video on how and what is needed to delete that round playe arm
you talking about the area where the plate was right? that "u" shaped chrome bar?

@@dudleydorite7678 do you feel any frame flex? Some of the people who did that delete said they experienced some frame flex.
@@Mikeityourself haven't tried it yet.

@@Mikeityourself What did you do for a tag light?
Nothing at the moment. I looked at a few options but never followed through.
