The BTS lyrics of “foot foot you watch it mouth mouth you watch it” is (I think) a play on the saying “put your foot in your mouth” meaning “shut up because you just said something stupid/embarrassing.”
The original version has more Korean words than the re-mix but personally I think they sound very similar.
Most effects in Kpop are real, they build amazing sets.

The non-remix version has a pretty different instrumentation, it has more of a old school hip hop sound.

God's Menu is about the diversity and uniqueness of Stray Kids, they offer a lot from their Menu and you can definitely find something that would satisfy your taste. Their discography is so diverse and they have 171 songs released(from google search) and they make 99% of their music, 3racha(the producing unit) and sometimes with other members too. They all can sing, rap and dance here are some of the songs I suggest you guys watch and you'll see how diverse their music are:

So that’s why in God’s Menu they are referring to their music and themselves as a group the song is a diss track to their haters bc people always says they make noise music it’s funny bc they are the most successful group in the 4th generation and the most popular worldwide and they been breaking records non stop too😌😌 also this song it’s one of the most popular song in K-pop in general 🔥🔥

They will come back as a group in 2025!

Just a side note and I’m not sure I should even write this. I’m not trying to put anyone down and come across as rude because that is not my intention. Most of the BTS armies are BTS only stands. I’m a good example as I am BTS stand only. To be fair I have in the beginning of my BTS journey watched other groups but I couldn’t get hooked into other groups like I did with BTS. This doesn’t mean I hate other groups or don’t like their music because I do like some songs. Armies will eat up BTS reactions especially coming from reactors who seem genuine and respectful like yourselves. BTS’s discography consists of over 300 songs and we will overwhelm you with information and suggestions. God's Menu changed my life! Something about that track takes me back to when I first heard it. It was the middle of covid lockdowns and i had just moved back in with my parents after graduating university and i would just listen to Gods Menu on repeat. It prompted me to really dive in Stray Kids and i havent looked back sinse. Those boys are really special to me so i love watching you guys react to them. Hopefully you can do more Stray Kids in the future :)

Exaggerate much? All you’re doing is cherry picking to make Twice sound bigger than they are. Twice’s biggest accomplishment is putting out music nonstop. They’ve released more than 220 songs. BlackPink only 40 so Twice’s numbers are totally inflated. BUT!
Despite BlackPink’s small discography , they still are the most streamed and most viewed girl group ever including Western groups. Their current tour has completely destroyed all records for girl groups amassing over $200 million in gross revenue. Twice can barely make $40 million.
BlackPink has also headlined major festivals like Coachella and UK Hyde Festival. And the only reason why Twice had more streams in the US in 2022 was because Blinks were streaming Lisa’s two song album which in itself became the second most streamed album by a female Kpop artist surpassing BlackPink’s The Album. Lisa’s two songs amassed over a billion streams.
Everything BlackPink does destroys anything Twice can do except for release music on a constant basis.
And you can have Japan. Having three Japanese members, how can you not dominate that market.
As for Billboards chart. BlackPink charted 13 times for a combined 32 weeks on the Hot 100. Twice only 2 or 3 times for only one week each. NewJeans destroys Twice on this chart. And BlackPink and now NewJean are the only girl group to reach number one on Billboards album chart.

Imho, there's quite a bit of the official English translations in BTS's MVs that don't do the lyrics justice (or translate as well as they could).
I mean, I know some of it is just to make the message clearer to English audiences, but we miss a lot of the clever wordplay bc of it (like here with Yoongi's verse, the translations use "no empty seats" when direct translations is "no grapes". It's the same thing bc "grapes" is a Korean slang for what empty seats are called in the ticket sales site. But the usage of grapes fit better with steak, dining, ratatouille, etc. that SOPE's verses were leaning towards).

I really liked your reaction and i am BTS fan. But i do listen to other groups and K-pop music is good and i like it. From a personal point of view BTS just grab me from the start and after listening to just 2 songs, i started to find out as much about them as i could, which made me like them even more. I love all their songs, so i can not pick favorite. But few are Dynamite and Butter both of these have broken and hold many records and are in english and are happy songs. Black Swan, Fire, Done, Run BTS (dance practice so good), Idol, and so many more. Their performances at awards shows are beyond words (amazingly) MMA 2019 my favourite. Looking forward to your next reaction 🙂

K-Pop groups can get pretty big and all of them do fantastic choreography. The largest that I know of is NCT with a current 22 members (used to be 23) but they typically promote in smaller sub-units with the occasional group song/mashup. The group Seventeen also has 13 members :) if you want to check them out I suggest:

some kpop recommendations from my personal favs:
mamamoo- a vocals based group where every member is a vocal powerhouse, also known for their fun and quirky songs. there is a video where they do a medley of a handful of their songs that is a great introduction to their overall sound called "killing voice with perfect harmony."
girls generation(snsd)- they werent the first kpop girl group, but they were the first one that made it mega big. they paved the way for kpop on the global stage and became the influence for every girl group that came afterwards. they started with a softer sound but that eventually graduated into a much more intense vibe. their song "i got a boy" is one of the pioneer songs of the experimental sound.
epik high- a hip hop trio that features other artists on their tracks. sometimes with other rappers like in the song "rosario" or vocalists like in the song "love story" but no matter what the overall sound of the song they are always a vibe.
yezi- a soloist known for her fierce raps as well as her range to transition to angelic vocals. one of the fastest female rappers when she chooses to flex that skill, but she prioritizes flow over pure speed(making the song sound good vs just going for speed for sake of being the fastest). she also has a medley video with a korean title, but if you search "yezi solo, my gravity, home" it should come up as the 10:21 video(and with those english song names visible in the title).
kiss of life- a new group with a strong 90s/2000s r&b sound. all of the members had been trainees under various other agencies, with one member in particular being very well known from being on 2 idol survival shows. before their group debut they each released a solo song that started the storyline that connects through to their pre release and debut music videos. they are among the first legit groups of the 5th generation of kpop.

I would really like if you dived further down the BTS rabbit hole. They are really the prime example of a group going from rags to riches, through organic growth since their debut in 2013. They debuted in a small company, BigHit Entertainment, which only a few years prior to their debut almost went bankrupt. Together they slept seven people in one room and had to fight to stay afloat among the many popular groups from the Big Three K-pop companies, and slowly but surely they made their way to the top. They have been out here for 10 years bending the norms of K-pop by addressing taboo topics, making self-written and self-produced music while being the most wholesome brotherhood imaginable. Their discography includes more than 250 songs which all experiment with different types of genres, everything from funk rock to latin pop, rap to pop music and so on. They are the biggest K-pop group and the biggest band in the world right now. They have even been nominated five times for a grammy and won multiple awards at the AMAs and at the BBMAs. And they use their position to help people by spreading love. Since 2017 they have raised $3.6 million for UNICEF's work to end violence and they even went to the White House in 2022 to address anti-asian hate crimes. It's really a shame they receive so much unwarranted hate and I thank you for being so open-minded in your reactions!
I'd like to recommend you a few songs and videos to watch:
- Black Swan: A beautiful song that incorporates contemporary dance with lyrics that mention how they've been struggling to find inspiration after working tirelessly for years and years. They quote Martha Grahams: “A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful.”.
- On kinetic manifesto: This one really shows off their dance skills and again it includes beautiful lyrics.
- Mic Drop and Run BTS live perfomance at the Busan concert: The energy is WILD in this video! Also it was a free concert they did for 50.000 people PLUS the 49 million online viewers, before having to serve in the military for two years.
- Tiny Desk concert: A fun online concert they did under the pandemic.
- MMA (Melon Music Awards) 2019 performance: At this award show BTS was given 40 minutes to performance and they saw the opportunity to make the most epic show ever and they succeeded. It's a long video but SO worth it!

Stry kids are my ULTS! The funny thing about "Gods Menu" is.... thay song was just named the "Best Song EVER By a 4th Gen Kpop Boy Group" by Rolling Stone. When i read that, it made me think... Okay, i FULLY believe that Stray Kids are indeed the present AND the future of K-pop. They have the "It factor", they have charisma, charm, personality, wit, humor, kindness, humbleness, intelligence, drive, work ethic, visuals, resilience, diversity, and most importantly... They have undeniable talent. (Seriously, they have the BEST rapline in the 4th generation and some of the best dancers and vocalists out of 4th gen boy groups. (Heck, one of the main rappers, is ALSO ons of their vocalists!) Lol, in fact, the members of Stray Kids dont even have set positions. They each just have certain skills that they each do, or prefer to do, more than the others. But they can all rap, they can all sing, and they can all dance.
Which, FYI, there's three main skills that the members of a K-pop group must have. 99% of the time, members are picked by their company to fit a certain skill in the group. The three I mentioned... as well as one other. Visual... lol, yeah, there are groups where certain members were picked solely to be pretty. Anyways, each member normally fills ONE position, SOMETIMES two. However, SKZ are INCREDIBLY different. Truly. Tbey weren't formed by thir label. Nope, SKZ is completely unprecedented. The leader, BangChan, he handpicked each of his members, and he himself prepared them for debut.
In doing so, he used a different method. The members needed to be very talented all-rounders (someone who is good at rap, vocals, and dance), they needed to be a very very hard worker (SkZ NEVER rest and are one of the most prolific and driven groups in the industry), Uniqueness and Personality (the fans need to fall in love with them, both individually and as a group) and of course they needed to really truly lile like one another. (Which, i would say, that from their debute reality show (where the company challenge them to prove they were good enough) and then throughout thenfolloing 5 yer thy were packed with heartbreak, and struggle, and endless grind.... not to mention the stress that comes with being completely responsible for not only your own success but also your own failures. With no one but yourelf to carry all the blame.cnot pbly is that beyond hard, but its also more than capable of rippimg a group apart.
Thankfully, it only served to strengthen Stray Kids. Allowing them to be the ONLY self-formed (right down to even being self named, as the logo is in the leaders handwriting lol) COMPLETELY self made and self-produced group. As for clarification on the last part, yes, they are TRULY self-produced. (Unfortunately, K-pop fans are toxic sometimes, and with Stry kids being not only the only truly self producing 4th gen boy group, they're actually one of the VERY FEW groups in ALL of kpop that can say they are COMPLETELY self sufficient with their music. See, in K-pop, 90% of groups are like the face of a much bigger entity, that entity is their labels,and the label has a massive collection of people who write, compose and produce the music. As well as create choreography, set up the lore for the group, create the groups concepts and storyline... heck,nanlot of them dont even get to show their real personalities because they are given characters to ply as well. Now this is not to say that they shouldn't recicenl thnlove thy fnnchooe to give them. I just think of them as two very different sides of K-pop. That's all.
Personally. I love Stray Kids because they do everything themselves. I love that they have 200 songs in 50 different genres, i love how they themselves managed to become one of the TOP 5 most famous groups in kpop (currently the MOST popular one in the USl) and one of the most famous artist IN THE WOLD (They were the 7th BEST SELLING artist in the WORLD year, and the omly artist to have 2 albums in the top 10 best selling albums last year, at 4 and 7. They DOUBLED already this year with their their latest full-length album. Which, worldwide, has sold something like 10 million copies and made skz responsible for like.. 22% of all albums sold in the USA so far this year, with just that album. Which marked their 3rd album, in a row, to debut at #1 on Billboard 200... And they did it themselves. With music that they (particularly the subunit in the group called 3RACHA, made up of their leader and their two main rappers) created. Music that they poured the deepest, most meaningful song lyrics into (something i feel many K-pop group lckz because they didn't do it 1000 writers and producers did. It is hard to write about anything yruly meaningful when you are trying to just please too many people, make it catchy, and no, you can't exactly tell a personal story, or really even be relatable. Again, this is JUST my opinion. )
The point is, i found something so special in SkZ. They made it to the top of a cutthroat industry, teuly on their own work from lyrics and composition, to being THE primarily/main producers on a 200+ discography. They did it despite NOT being popular in Korea AT ALL up until very recently. They did it despite the fact that, for no
Reason, they are the most bullied and harassed 4th gen group by other fandoms (they receive the worst most heartbreaking death threats too).... they really struggled to get here they re, they rellt did it ll themselves, and they did it while being the most alluring, talented, genuine, Rockstars that they are, whom are VERY close their fans (they even recognize their reactors at their concerts, they even remember their names lol) and who have the best darn music i have ever heard! And i mean that. Here in the West, I'm lucky if i like one song by an artist. But Stray kids.... Yes, im very eclectic and love everything from vocal ballads to heavy metal to rap... But even i couldn't believe that there isn't a single one of their 200+ songs that i dont like. Yes, of course, there are some the i just like and dont go out of my way to listen to. But thats because they have me 170 that i WOULD, AND DO 😂, go out of my way to listen to. They are AMAZING ARTISTS....
Now, back to what i was getting at in the VERY beginning of this book. Despite ALL that I just wrote, i simply do not agree with Rolling Stone. Yes, "Gods Menu" is a very unique aong and does a wonderful job as a Stray Kids totle track. Its meant to be interesting and make you feel like you didn't get enough from that, but you do see what they were saying and that you see their insane talent. But you just need another one to really decide. Thats what their title tracks do. Its their purpose. Be catchy, be very unique, be mostly about the beat, and the lyrics, something they are ok saying to non fans. Like... It's a song for the haters... Like "Thunderous." Or a song about toxic fan culture... Like "Maniac". Or even a song like this one.. This is who we are, but this isn't shit. This is just an appetizer, and you will be back. Lol. However, unlike most groups, they DO NOT put their best aong as title tracks. Not even close. That was the first one you saw. That was a 2 member unit song... not evem a main b-side! Nope, it's all the other ong on SKZ albums that kill it... because why would they give their best work to the haterz, to the general public, or for all the other fandoms who only listen to their songs so they can talk bad about it. Then give their devoted fans less than they deserve... Hell no. Not SKZ. So, if you want to really get to know them (and definitely if you were like me with gods menu), like... i liked it, but i don't know. Just not my fave... I get it! You just need to do what Rolling Stone didn't.... You just gotta dive right on into their depths. I promise, if you happened to be the kind of person who read my comment... them you are the kind who should truly jump down the rabbit hole. ❤
