OMG! You saved me from impending catastrophe! I ran my purifier without realizing I needed to remove the plastic inside the filter first. Thanks a lot!!!
We had so much horrible POLLEN explosion about six weeks ago! Then smoke from fires in Canada it’s about 7 hours north of me. Yet I wish I got one that had notification to change the filters and other details full and low.
If you’ve never used an air filter these are great. th-cam.com/users/postUgkx_dppjvjF8BYEmPSDTcgCUdRsgWYLXNHN I ended up with three after starting out with one. The noise level depends on the 1-3 settings with how hard you want the machine to work. You can also upgrade the filters and get one better for pet hair and smells which is a must have in my home. I noticed the air seemed lighter and easier to breathe when running the machine for the first time. Works great every time. Highly recommended!
Somehow I trust this channel more than any other review website that I have seen on the internet in the past 2 days :D Subscribed right away! Now a question: We have been dealing with an allergy that might have something to do with our 2 new cats. Would you advise us on buying the 300s pet care model or a 400s? Our room is around 25 square meter or 270 square feet. Thanks in advance!
Hello, apart from the dimension of the area where it will be used, which is the best option the 300s or 400s? I noticed in the reviews on the site that the air detector in automatic mode works better on the 300s than the 400s. Is that right?
Levoit Core 300S have wifi off/on option or is it always on when powered? If I don't want to use wifi can this device work manually or is wifi always on? I think in older version 300 they didn't have it.
The wifi feature can be turned off completely. The unit only runs when it is turned on by the power switch on the unit or in the app. It is not constantly running just by being connected to wifi.
The only disappointment I'm having after buying the 300S is that it shows my air quality being very good all the time. When I put it in my room it showed "5" PM2.5 for a minute and then changed to 1. Put it in bedroom when sleeping at night, later checked the app to see that only at some points it rose slightly above 1. Which is surprising to me, considering I have 2 long thread carpets in my apartment and a cat who I am slightly allergic to.
We had wildfire smoke and both my 300s went up from 1 , one was 9 , other one 6. I had to turn the speed up from low to high to lower. One unit stayed at 8 and the other unit dropped to 1 with high speed, this unit has the best 4 stage filter in it . The other the original filter. So it is working. Wildfire smoke has gone outside and both are at 1 on low speed. I ordered another of those best 4 stage filters for the other unit.
The same happened to me. I bought it thinking my bedroom levels would be too high, and to my surprise when I turned the purifier on was that it was "Very Good" right out of the box. Yes, it is true that with use, a few PM2.5 drops, but I don't know to what extent it compensates. And another thing that bothers me a bit is that in automatic mode the power is always at minimum, and it gives me the feeling that it does not have enough power to absorb all the dust.
@@sergio_cases The only thing I am hoping for is that the PM2.5 detector doesn't detect all the things that the purifier purifies. Hopefully it removes more than the detector shows.
@@rayhoodoo847 I think the USA uses a different index to measure the air quality ? ... AQI index not PM2.5 index , not trying to belittle anyones local area , in Canada here it is PM2.5 ( 7-10 is high risk and 11 and over is very high risk ) and there are some conversion tools online, however I got different results from each. LOL Also here, they only say 11+ and never tell us any higher number such as 19 or 25.
Thanks for your review. I'm keeping my eyes on 300s and P350. Only see some review on 300 VS P350. Maybe you can do some comparison? And is it true that we can install P350 filter on 300s body?
It will reduce airborne dust, meaning less dust will settle on surfaces. However, it can’t capture dust that has already settled on surfaces, furniture, etc.
Researched it. He is using a dba scale. Different than db. Dba is relative to how we hear the sound based on pitch, where db is the true sound level. Something like that anyways.
No, this is a review of the Levoit Core 300S. You have probably seen the Levoit Core 300 (not the smart one) review: th-cam.com/video/1gs2VvbQ5AY/w-d-xo.html
So I recently just purchased the same unit and hope’s it could help eliminate my dust issue in my bedroom. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or recommendation to help eliminate dust. I currently live in a finish off attic and I do live on a carpet that I cannot remove. I have a New window AC unit and I clean out the air filter twice a month. I recently purchased the 300 series for my bedroom and I run it on high 24/7. I still find dust here and there and I was wondering if this is something to expect with this specific unit. I’m currently debating on ordering the 400 series to see if that could possibly eliminate the dust since it’s a bigger unit my bedroom size is a 16x14. I also have a ceiling fan running 24 seven could that possibly be affecting the performance of the air purifier? I appreciate the videos and look forward to anyone who would like to share their thoughts.
It can clean the air only once in a 1095 sq. ft. room. However, the industry standard is 4.8 times in one hour (according to AHAM), which is why the more appropriate coverage is 219 sq. ft.
This Levoit isn't the best option for heavy cooking odors. I'm afraid you would need a more powerful air purifier for that purpose, which also has a much better-activated carbon filter.
No, it's not possible to clean a True HEPA filter; you have to replace it from time to time. A pre-filter is the one you have to clean a few times per month.

As an allergy sufferer, I truly appreciate this channel!
I'm glad to hear that, and also glad that an air purifier can help you as an allergy sufferer!

What a lovely, clear and straightforward review. This is one of the nicest reviews I think I have ever watched.
I just bought it and when I spray cologne in a small room when on auto it doesn't increase fan speed.

Could you please make a review on the new Levoit Everest Air? Thanks
I will do my best to review it! Thanks for the siggestion.
Does this also remove smells? For example, after cooking?
That's also what I wanted to know. The video said that the third filter aims to neutralize bad odors

Yes, you can.

My bedroom is 300 sq. ft. Would the Levoit Core 300S be good for that size room or should I purchase the Core 400S?
I would recommend going with the Core 400S and using it at the lowest speed.
@@AirPurifierFirst Thanks, but why use the lowest speed? I was planning to use AUTO so that it would adjust if the air quality is bad.
Can you set the timer to run so many hours, automatically each day? Sort of like the intex pool pump if you set 8 hours it does it again the next day.
You can do this in the app

Hi may i know which one is better between this and Xiaomi 4 lite. since the price is almost similar here.

Is it possible to set automatic switching between modes depending on the time of day?
I believe you can do that via the VeSync app.

I haven't tested the Winix Zero Compact yet, but as soon as I do, I will publish a comparison with the Core 300S.
may i know which one is better between this and xiaomi 4 lite?
I prefer the Levoit Core 300S. Watch the video comparison on the link below:
th-cam.com/video/Loq0OlYW-Zg/w-d-xo.html
How comfortable it is to sleep when it works on auto mode or because of noise during sleep it is better to turn on the night mode?
I always set it on sleep mode when using it in the bedroom.
Which do you prefer between the blueair 411 auto and the levoit core 300s
Yes
I published a comparison of these two on the Air Purifier First website a few days ago. The Core 300S won!
Is it normal for it to be set at highest setting then it shifts to a lower one by itself? Is it evening out?
If it's in auto mode, then this scenario is possible.
Why do all Levoit air purifiers have the red note from California P65warnings, what harmful chemical does it release or what is the reason?
Apparently air purifiers can release bad chemicals!
Is the filter for core 300 is compatible with core 300s?
EDIT: nvm, I commented this out half the video in.
Best air purifier
Can't decide on the 100s or the 300s
Seems brilliant, I'm upgrading from 300 to this far better all round 😅
I am confused whether to buy levoit core 300s or philips series 800 for my bedroom, what do you recommend?
I compared these two on the Air Purifier First website, and the Core 300S won the comparison.

Is this unit also called the Plasma Pro?
No, it isn’t. There is a Core 400S variant called the Plasma Pro.

Can you use 300 filter to 300s filter are they the same?
Yes, you can. The filter media is completely the same for these two models.
Need independent testing of air quality. Leviit can design their app anyway they want. Key thing is the filter types which doesn't go into detail.
I totally agree. However, I must note that the Levoit Core 300S has made fantastic results in all my tests.
there is something wrong with the measurements. Levoit site says in sleep mode it goes to 22db but you registered 40db

Hi, which is better, this Levoit or Phillips 800 series? Thank you.
I prefer Levoit.
Hi
Is it a virus and bacterial air purifier and cook smell?
How would this work on a 400 sq foot room
You would need two of them, which is why I would suggest checking the Levoit Core 400S, which is much bigger and covers rooms of around 400 sq. ft.
Is that possible not to replace the filter but cleaning it instead?
No, it's not possible to clean a True HEPA filter; you have to replace it from time to time. A pre-filter is the one you have to clean a few times per month.
Is it wireless?
Apps only , 🔌 in .

the air sensor in this is garbage, I live in London and the thing is constantly stuck on blue (IE best air quality) NO WAY is that correct
How about dog hair?
That would be a task for the vacuum.
Garbage. I have chain smoker neighbors, this doesn’t cleanse anything. Not event a bug farts.
