Tbh for first WC I'd recommend either horde (for example mongolia and go full cav, its fun as fuck + u don't suffer from AE that much) or just go austria, pu everyone, and don't ever revoke just send a vassal swarm of all of europe to fight with ur enemies
@pawlossos12 I've considered the Horde run but wanted to try it this way first. I've already done a Austria game where I got AEIOU so ended up wanting something different. If I don't manage it then oh well I'll try again later.
I imagine you could do some funky stuff by tagswitching while the german formation event is open? Maybe some permanent modifiers from other end game tag mission trees?

If you prepare that correctly then you could even unlock the "Gendarmes" Unit Types from the French Missions before going back to OP Prussian Army xd

I like how you go over the german ideas and say how good they are(which they are dont get me wrong) and you are basically just describing a watered down version of oirat/yuan ideas which you can have after 20-30 years of gameplay. Just shows how broken those tags are.
It is just that Hordes do simply not count in these comparisons such as if you conquer the world by 1500 as Oirat then no one cares because Hordes are anyways just straight up cheating if you compare them 1 to 1 in SP

@@thestudentYT you got it wrong France is not the best at anything. France idea set is just so versatile and stong which allows you to play any way you want, that is what makes it fun. Also I hate nations with bad NI it is just less fun so yeah having good ideas makes a nation that much more enjoyable ideas.

This is simply nuts.
OK so what I am working on now is to start as Brandenburg, conquer the teutons, take Praha and flip hussite, then release Teutonic Order as a Hussite monarchy then play as the Teutonic Order, take the Prussia diplo path then Subjugate Brandenburg. This let's you burn all your relations and trust and get a ton of AE early game then flip tags and get a clean slate, and if you know how to play Brandenburg you can do it in the first 20 years.
Teutonic Hussites is the ultimate meme tag.

i speedformed (atleast held all of italy region way before adm 10) italy as milan once by getting alot of AE, deccing on Switzerland, 100%ing them and forcing them to take Milan, removing my AE and leading to Switzerland getting coalitioned, and my core was always returned. This was some years ago though.

if you are fast enough you can do that still but it's harder to do it now.

I was planning to do nearly just that with Brandebourg, I recently discovered the burgundian mission three mutation after HRE dislocation, and thought that this mutation may be able to conquer Germany really fast as Prussia.
And now you can do it as Teutonic Order and become Germany at the same Time that you could become Prussia as Brandenburg ;)
@@thestudentYT exactly. I have to check the threes of all major HRE related nations. Burgundy is broken when dislocating HRE. It is probably the same for Angevine Empire.

How do you get claims, do I vassal or go full blob ,tried a couple of times failed to be at the same place you are in the video. It is mainly due to trying to dismantle HRE. Also do I worry about overextension
I guess it is just a thing of expierience at this point... I played so often in this region, trying to conquer Germany ASAP so often already and I probably dismantled the HRE hundreds of times by now. So what I want to sad is that it really just takes time to learn those things and they are probably impossible to explain in such a comment... but what I can tell you is, that you shouldn't be afraid to take Loans, Mercs and abuse your Allies as well as of course trying really hard ;)
anywhere, where one could find more details on strategies, and how exactly to do it?
Looking on Game Mecahnics, Missions and Modifiers with my expierienced eye on which things could be game breaking and what not and then testing it out (it probably just takes a lot of time in this kind of the Gameplay that I am doing to see those kind of things)
Have you ever played with the Victorum Universalis mod, or used the historical deas mod?
If you think imperial German ideas are insane, wait till you see russian ideas with the historical ideas mod.
You can get 85% province warscore cost reduction plus 91% ccr before 1525. Basically you can annex 1/2 of india or china in a single war with a deus vult CB. I highly recommend playing with that mod.
As a sidenote, did you know that the russian empire govt reform (unlike the ruthenian/russian tsardom or russian principality reforms) isnt culture locked? So once you get enough modernization to get that reform, you can culture shift to something else with out loosing it. And that reform is insanely powerful.

why didnt u do the missions "reform the state" and "develop koningsberg" for perma modifiers ?
He aimed 1518 date, so he need coring and adm tech 10. If you dev up your province, and do not get a 6-6-6 ruler, you will be low on mana points.
But if you play 5-10 years slower, you can get the perma bonus
Also remember that the EU game engine is literally the Clausewitz engine~
Shame that the Prussian mission tree when formed as Teutonic Order is missing the missions giving another +5% adm eff and the upgrade to Brandenburg Gate monument.

Even without me looking that up, I know that I won't have that save file anymore sadly... and anyways if I sent that to you then it wouldn't be a proper Ironman/Achievment Save anymore so not really legit if you play that further right?
I could of course try to recreate that situation but you know that would be like 3 hours of work for me...
Yo I tried many times but I never won the war against brandenburg , because austria + her allies + brandenbourg + his allies ( they have
90K troops and me only 16K ) how have you done that?
It seems that I then just set up this war better... just ally all relevant Electors, ally France if possible and then most importantly choose the right nation to attack (for example if you attack a nation in the HRE that is also allied to austria directly then Austria doesn't call his allies
And please don't think that you can do it the same way as I did because every game is different... sometimes you can attack Brandenburg, sometimes you ally them first and no cb Landhut or whatever nation Austria is allied to. And sometimes Bohemia gets Emperor and you could even ally Austria. So you have to be a little more creative to do it that early than just ti try to replicate my run (which will not be possible because my Game went totally different than any other game)

I'm not seeing how you became Prussia. I thought it was through Seek Imperial Protection and taking the second option in the event, to remain Prussian, but I was still the Teutonic Order afterward. Do I need to own all of East and West Prussia before taking that mission in order to have that work? [edit: oh, I see now, it happens after choosing the HRE path. I just panicked.]

@@thestudentYT oh, I believe you, there are just a lot of details I still don't know about this game. Slow learner, I think :D. I'm about to dismantle the HRE in my run, just slower because the RNG was less favorable.

So if you make Germany without becoming Prussia are you still a crusader order? Because I think that is honestly the most interesting way to do this, crusader order has a tier 10 reform that let's you use a general as a ruler, the rulers stats are based off generals pips, and you can get royal marriages but no heir. If you could have that crusader government with German missions and ideas that would be fun.
Maybe yes but then you'll have to wait until Tech 20 because this mission tree is only available if you choose on of the Prussian Paths
I already tried to do it once, but the run got scuffed in the 1580s and I only had 60/100. I guess I should not try my experiments on very hard Ironman. (That moment when you notice the Ottomans go from Moscow to Ethiopia and have 700k army in 1550)
@@thestudentYT no that's not true. If you join the empire before you invade pollard you will not turn into Prussia. Then later you complete a mission that will turn you into Prussia but you can turn it down. I've gotten that far. You just need to join hre (diplo rep 2 will get a vote for full member) as long as you are in hre you don't flip to Prussia.

You dont have to own all the provinces yourself. Maybe use Brandenburg missions/claims to ease the burden. Might even try going orthodox for another -20% ae

@@thestudentYT Even as a vassal he has missions like A Show of Strength, Conquer Lower Saxony, etc that open up claims you lack since the hre path doesnt give them. You get options to choose your next war, and less AE. I didn't check if the last mission required you to own them directly my bad, the other ones don't tho, so you could just integrate him by 1520 no problem? (you only need diplo for the first couple ideas of espionage)

@@queirol2126 Yeah maybe you should try to make it faster... or you should watch the video again because in both cases you'll find out that the Hard cap is the Mission that requires Adm. tech 10... which is ahead of Time until (you guessed it) 1520 XD

I already lost right at the beginning 2:05 . you say iam NOT allowed to be in the empire to form prussia, but in order to even get this mission I HAVE TO BE in the HRE: I am so confused. Also in my own tests I DO become prussia when clicking this mission despite being in the HRE: So no clue what you really mean. Can you explain?
I wasn't in the HRE when I clicked the HRE Diplomacy Path... so you can take that Mission tree regardless and btw you automatically join the HRE anyways if you click that mission...
And if the Emperor decides to just accept you fully into the Empire then you cannot become Prussia later
@@thestudentYT I'm still confused So you do the mission to improve relations with austria in order to join the HRE, but then you REFUSE the join, then you do the poland mission, and then you click the diplo prussia mission and join the HRE? This part confuses me because I swear I ALWAYS formed prussia while being in the HRE. in fact, I ALWAYS join the HRE and I always become prussia as soon as I have done the poland mission. This is why I don't get why you keep say I need to be outside of the HRE in order to form prussia. The mission ALWAYS changes your country to prussia unless you click the crusader path.

But then I don`t understand why you desperatly want to join the HRE with the first Mission if you can get 100 mil points and some Morale instead and have a way easier Time fighting Poland after which you can ANYWAYS directly join the HRE without relying on the choice of the Emperor at all... I mean if you want to miss the Mil Points and the Morale for Nothing and Nothing then you can do that of course but the question should be: WHY?? xd

If you click the mission to ask the Emperor of the HRE to join and you actually ask him to join, then it opens up an imperial incident where the HRE Nations and the Emperor can vote wether they want to allow you to join fully, allow you to join but you are not allowed to attack other HRE nations or for the 3rd Option to decline your entrance. So far so good right?
2. If the Emperor and the Imperial Princes don`t like you that much than they will probably vote for the 2nd option (so letting you in but you are not allowed to attack HRE Nations)... This is then the Option that you got in your game, so far so good right?
3. In one of my Games I had good relations to the Emperor and +2 diplo reputation when I asked the Emperor to join the HRE. Then the same imperial incident happened but instead of choosing the 2nd option they chose the 1st option for me which let me join the HRE without any restrictions.
Then I got an event which was saying basically that, so it gave me no effects but only telled me about the outcome of the incident.
But this event had also a hidden effect: It gave me a so called "country flag" that is a hidden modifier to my country (the flag is called "teu_is_allowed_to_stay_in_the_hre")
This flag is not there if the Emperor chooses the 2nd option in the incident.
So far so good right?
4. If you complete the 2nd teutonic mission regarding the HRE (that lets you decide to take the HRE Diplomacy Mission Path) then you get the event that is called "A Place within the Holy Roman Empire"
This event gives you 3 options: Choose the HRE Diplomacy Missions, the German Conquest Missions OR the Prussian Kingdom Missions.
If you then choose either the HRE Diplomacy Missions OR the German Conquest Missions then you directly get a following event that is called "The Teutonic Order within the Empire".
This Event only gives you ONE option to choose from. BUT: there are 2 possible options in the Game code which only 1 of them is chosen to show up.
a) The first Option called "Amen" is available if you DON`T have the country flag form 3. (just mentioned), so basically it showes up if the Emperor chose option 2 or 3 in the Incident OR if you just rejected the Incident at all. This Event option "Amen" chhanges your country to Prussia and gives you a special Tier 1 Gov. Reform.
So far so good right?
b) The second option is called "Glory to them!"
This option is only available if the country HAS the country flag mentioned in 3.
So it is exclusive with the option of a) so that in the end there will be always just one option available forn the Player to click.
This option b) doesn`t change you into Prussia and also doesn`t give you the special Tier 1 Reform.
Instead it just gives you 150 Powerpoints in each category.
So far so good right?
---> And this then means (what I already said in the first comment) that if you ask the HRE Emperor to join the HRE and they decide to let you in without any conditions (so if they choose the 1st option in the imperial incedent) then you cannot become Prussia via the event of the following Mission and therefore you cannot become Prussia until you reach Admin Tech 10!
As someone who loves playing in this area i much apprechiate this! Germany being locked behind Admin Tec 20 is something i ve always found quite annoying.
Seems like the only downside this has is that you cant form other tags before to pick up some permanent modifiers. But i guess being Germany that early on makes up for that.
I also want to add that the +1 Legitimacy in Germanys nationals ideas only looks uselees at first glance. Its amazing for becoming a Republic because then it turns into 0.3 yearly Republican Tradition. Im not the biggest fan of the unique gouvernments for both Prussia and Germany tho. That -50% Gov Cap is just a pain and completely contradictory to the expansionst playstyle this Nation promotes.
I think the -50% Gov Cap for Prussia is perfect for Single Player because it prevents an AI Prussia from excessively blobbing. Of course it's annoying though if you play the nation yourself.
I just hate the fact that they do not implement similiar techniques to prevent the Ottomans or the PLC from conquering half the world before 1600. Both should have 50% base autonomy in all non-primary culture provinces. This would also be historically accurate.

@@thestudentYT hm I didn't gift, maybe that's why. Another question, how often do they accept? Do you just restart until they do? Subjugation CB is not as good of a solution. I tried twice and twice they refused.
If you have +2 dip rep then the chances are pretty good and if you get an Advisor then it is guarenteed

It's part of the Teutons mission tree. All you need is 150 relations and +2 diplo rep

Then I got an event which was saying basically that, so it gave me no effects but only telled me about the outcome of the incident.
But this event had also a hidden effect: It gave me a so called "country flag" that is a hidden modifier to my country (the flag is called "teu_is_allowed_to_stay_in_the_hre")
This flag is not there if the Emperor chooses the 2nd option in the incident.
So far so good right?
4. If you complete the 2nd teutonic mission regarding the HRE (that lets you decide to take the HRE Diplomacy Mission Path) then you get the event that is called "A Place within the Holy Roman Empire"
This event gives you 3 options: Choose the HRE Diplomacy Missions, the German Conquest Missions OR the Prussian Kingdom Missions.
If you then choose either the HRE Diplomacy Missions OR the German Conquest Missions then you directly get a following event that is called "The Teutonic Order within the Empire".
This Event only gives you ONE option to choose from. BUT: there are 2 possible options in the Game code which only 1 of them is chosen to show up.
a) The first Option called "Amen" is available if you DON`T have the country flag form 3. (just mentioned), so basically it showes up if the Emperor chose option 2 or 3 in the Incident OR if you just rejected the Incident at all. This Event option "Amen" chhanges your country to Prussia and gives you a special Tier 1 Gov. Reform.
So far so good right?
b) The second option is called "Glory to them!"
This option is only available if the country HAS the country flag mentioned in 3.
So it is exclusive with the option of a) so that in the end there will be always just one option available forn the Player to click.
This option b) doesn`t change you into Prussia and also doesn`t give you the special Tier 1 Reform.
Instead it just gives you 150 Powerpoints in each category.
So far so good right?
---> And this then means (what I already said in the first comment) that if you ask the HRE Emperor to join the HRE and they decide to let you in without any conditions (so if they choose the 1st option in the imperial incedent) then you cannot become Prussia via the event of the following Mission and therefore you cannot become Prussia until you reach Admin Tech 10!

Don't get me wrong, Germany's easily at top 20, perhaps top 10 idea set in the game (then again, with how much extra bonuses beyond ideas Pdx hands out these days the pure idea sets matter a bit less), but Germany is literally missing 2 of the big 3 SP ideas.
Also, I personally would have stayed a Bishopric instead of adopting Prussian Monarchy. That -50% gov cap is crippling.
I mean the 10% Adm Efficiency is both CCR and province warscore cost in one modifier so... there it is :)
And sure gov cap can be an issue but otherwise the 10% Discipline and 20% land maintenance wouldn`t be balanced
@@thestudentYT Admin Efficiency is not quite the same as CCR, as it does not decrease coring time. And while no European tag can really get close to the ~73% CCR threshold for sub-10 month coring time, any speed-up is appreciated since it means a lower time of sitting at high OE.
And while the military bonuses of Prussian Monarchy are nice, i'd argue that a country with Prussia's idea set really doesn't need them to beat up the AI. And neither does a country that has essentially consolidated Germany in 1520. And theocracies are a really strong government form these days.
Tbh if u form germany that early in game, then you would probably either quit the game or go for world conquest. Prussian ideas are way better for it.
I would argue that Prussian are overall better ideas, i would take dev cost over trade efficiency any time, +25% manpower is also epic good. The only better idea that Germany have is admin efficiency, but since you are starting this early into the game with formed germany, then i don't think you really need this to do world conquest.
Keep in mind that the Mission to form Germany also gives 2 additional modifiers until the end of the Game: +20% Manpower Modifier and +10% Governing Capacity Modifier which are both insane modifiers and definetly have to be seen as well

giving up ica, morale and dev cost just for some admin efficiency just feels wrong :/
And for Goods Produced, a diplomatic Relation, Trade Efficiency and Unrest modifier... and then it is only 5% less ica, so that is more than worth it

Regarding fast way for German tag, yep Paradox left the ways to do it. another expample is Scandinavia can be formed before 1500

Imo Prussian ideas absolute military bonger! 20 morale 5 dis 20 Inf CA -1 army tradition decay much better than Germany ideas. With Prussian ideas and complete military missions you can stay at 100 army traditions.
I had the same in my Game as Germany and at a certained point you don't need more Morale or 5% more Inf CA because your army is anyways the best in the world already... Military is not everything man

I think thats not broken i really dont like imperial german ideas it doesnt have ccr or military ideas strong as prussia and missions is just meh 5 admin eff is so good and others just normal if you compare it other end game tags like ottomans russia angevin etc. And you cant get buffed prussian monarch +%50 governing capacity as teutonic prussia
