Thirsk poppy yarnbombing

Thirsk Yarnbombers have decorated their North Yorkshire town with over 35,000 knitted poppies. Hundreds of local people have hand knitted and stitched the poppies along with people who have sent them from as far away as Australia.

We love Thirsk, we always stop there for food before going home from York. What a shame we didn't get there to see this magnificent poppy display. Well done everyone XXX
