Its because they were lumped in with glam and still are mixed in with the hair metal bands. Its also because Jeff Keith was not the prettiest of lead vocalist of the era. I always considered Metallica,GnR, tesla and queensryche as the best of the 80's. The rest were shit for the most part.

Jeff had neither. That they made it as big as they did was testament to the band and Keith for doing a whole lot with a little.

FRANKIE !!
They never let me down live
My favorite Tesla song ! ❤❤ id love to meet the band one day! ❤❤
Tesla is always ready to kick ass.......
Seen them a cpl times! 1st time in Denver 1989....they opened up for poison..and frankly...I wasn't there for poison..and I think poison were very talented and still have tunes everyone parties to, but Tesla rocked the shit man, Right when Great Radio Controversy had come out. 2nd time at the Blossom in C.F Ohio in....95/96...opened for skynnard...never understood why because they literally POUNDED that day...Bust a Nut tour...Gosh....DAMN! Mama's Fool???? Pick up ur SHORTS eeeeryone!!! Deeeez dudes man!!!
You know there's nothin' like the real world to get me down
There's nothin' like the world outside that turns me upside down
It makes me feel like I'm headin' down a one-way, dead-end street
There's no way out, no way out of this living hell
No way out, no way out, unless you walk heaven's trail ✨
No way out, no way out of this living hell, livin' hell
This is a wonderful song...great band Tesla. But go out and buy the band`s first album, the amazing " Mechanical Resonance ".Kills it.Just perfect.
This song straight KICKS ASS!!¡
