I am at the eye doctor looking at this with tears running down my cheeks lol people looking at me like what’s her problem. It’s happy tears because u give me hope. I am as bald as a baby’s butt but when I hear stories like yours and see your confidence it empowers me to walk out the door with a wig on or not because I feel like I’m not the only woman in this world suffering from hair loss. I thank you so much for this channel. I subscribed.

      Ditto, doc! And ditto, Taz!!!
You are a RAY of HOPE, as I knew my hair loss sit'n HAD to do w/hormone loss...I do take Folliform, which had helped reduce the shedding, but my growth is sooo slow and minimal that I have actually cut my own hair almost as short as u have, Taz...
Wish I had more $$ to buy a few more (really nice wigs), but I will get there...
Personally I ADORE the Henry Margu JULES # 2481, Lace Frt.
      Color: 10/613
How I used to wear my hair style-wise about 7-10 yrs back when I had hair.

Way, way back-in-the-day, I decided to start doing my own hair. I permed, cut, styled, colored, everything. When I had a severe neck injury in 2010 my hair was almost knee length. Suddenly there was no way to take care of it. My arms wouldn't rise high enough, nor had the strength. My neck injury and surgery profoundly, and forever, changed my life. In one fell swoop, off it all came. Yes, a buzz cut. Discovering wigs has been the lifesaver for me, too. Thanks for the video.

I’ve been wearing wigs for 12 years after gastric bypass. My dear hubby has been buzzing my hair for 10 years plus! My kids, teenagers then, didn’t like seeing me almost bald. Then 8 years ago and last year I had basal cell spots removed on the top of my head, just behind a bang area. Those spots needed MOHS surgery. This created some big ares where little hair grows. I love the freedom of wigs! I can wear new styles, fun colors and it’s fun! Thanks so much for your channel! You are an awesome resource! Sharing your hair loss journey and others sharing their journeys as well is invaluable!

Hi Taz! I too have thin, fine hair. Unfortunately I purchased a few wigs (cheap) before I came across your video reviews. Thanks to you I have overcome my fears of wearing a wig in public. I took the plunge and wore a wig at a dinner get together with some of my friends. They all loved my new look! Thanks for the confidence boost!

Thanks, Taz! I have been binge watching your videos over the past 4 months as they are so helpful and inspirational. I live in SW France in a small rural community and I have shocked all the French ladies in my upholstery group. They truly can’t believe that I am wearing wigs and they love them. They all want one now, especially after enduring lockdown with no access to hair salons.
Sadly they don’t speak English well enough to understand your videos but they all agree that you are très chic!

Taz, you are wonderful! I just cut my hair yesterday and the curls are very forgiving. I got excited and thought maybe I could wear my natural hair out, I took a selfie and the reality of my receding hairline ( one and one-half inches) was eye-opening and not in a good way. I love wigs, but they are uncomfortable in the summer. I thought about toppers for the summer. Did you ever wear toppers? What do you think about them? I do have a Rene of Paris halo which is great for getting out the door for my morning walk. Thank you for all of the great information. You have made this journey easier. I love you so much!

Thank you Taz...I have hair loss in the front...hairline has receded quite a ways. You have helped me so much over the last several months. Your help with cutting hair was great as well. I am keeping it simple. I love wearing my wigs now...just a fashion accessory like a purse or scarf except more important. No more worrying about my hair...just put my makeup on, pick a hairhat, put it on and GO! Get compliments all of the time and no one knows I wear wig except my hubs, my girls and two of my good friends. I do not even care if someone knows! I feel great when I am wearing a cute stylish wig! Most ladies on tv or in movies are all wearing wigs/hair pieces...whats the big deal? LOL!! Again, thank you darlin'. Appreciate you more than ya know

A timely contribution! I was thinking just a day or so ago how much I love my wigs - and why. Wigs give me confidence - finishing my overall look and helping me present myself at my best. The convenience is amazing - I can be ready to go and feeling beautiful in 1/3 the timeless, primarily focusing on my makeup. I know my hair will be great. Going a bit deeper, I realized wigs allow me to maintain my focus outside, to others and what I'm doing in the moment. Before, the look and condition of my hair was constantly on my mind. If I got it looking pretty good with lots of work and product, wind, rain, humidity, a hood, sweating - anything at all - would ruin the look and I felt bad. I just couldn't shake that feeling that I looked "bad" and that affected my mood, outlook and confidence. I, too, sometimes didn't go out and do things because I didn't want to take the considerable time to do my hair, knowing that I would be disappointed again in a matter of hours. Lastly, with bad hair as it got very bad I had a kind of "why bother" attitude toward fashion and style. Since I couldn't create a satisfying total look, I developed an all or nothing outlook. With wigs, all of these feelings turned around to the positive! With time and wig experience, the real me came back to life, and by now I'm here, truly here, to stay. The power of wigs is amazing. Thank you for sharing your journey with us!

Wow Taz.. Thank you for this video of your hair loss story.. I think you're so very bold and Brave and you look great.. I don't have the pretty face and skin for short hair.. I had a partial thyroidectomy, partial hysterectomy and haven't been the same since.. I had gobs of hair but not anymore..and now my immune system is attacking my hair follicles.. Mine falls out all over.. I'll need to wear wigs but have been so afraid it will come off, that it's too shiny and thick,, hot in summertime or people will know.. Plus I don't know what style or color..i'm 68.. and it seems tiring to think of buying online and having to return.. Anyway I just pray I can get started to overcome soon becuz I don't go out at all due to the thinning of hair and weight gain... I pray I can overcome as you have.. Thanks again for your story.. You're helping so many women.. God bless you..❤🙏

Thanks Taz for all your tips, I love your channel! I have found that it is more cost effective to wear wigs. Once I tallied up all the money I was spending every month on potions, treatments, hair products and trips to the salon, I found that I could buy at least 1 new wig per month and avoid all the frustration, disappointment and sadness. Now I’m helping my sister to also embrace the wig life!!! So much fun! You will never know how much you have helped me and others on their hair loss journey. Thank you Taz for sharing your story. Confidence is key and it’s imperative to “ get right with ourselves first.” I’ve been wearing wigs for about 5 years now due to slowly thinning hair caused by a vitamin B 12 deficiency. I was a hair stylist years ago so wearing a wig was an easy transition for me. As women we must feel confident and beautiful for ourselves first. My recent challenge now is to share my situation with a man I recently met. And I will ….with confidence.
Thanks for all your encouragement. You are beautiful inside and out. God bless!

I love this discussion! You are helping so many women who have probably felt at some point in their lives a lot of angst about their thinning hair and ensuing baldness, full or partial. I never got a definitive diagnosis for my hair loss, but the doctor said my health assessment was "conclusive for PCOS'. Like you, I also tried many methods to grow my hair, to no avail. My hair began to thin along the center forehead at age 19 and kept thinning over time. Now, in my late 50s and post-menopausal, I close-shave whatever bio-hair I have, and I always wear wigs outside of home. At home, I wear soft head coverings. I'm at peace with it all now. Thanks for your inspirational and informative videos.

Taz, I want to say thank you for your being so vulnerable in this viedo. Please don't regret the past. You had to go through that time, so you could become the wonderful spokesperson for women that you are today. You have helped more people then you will ever know. The confidence you put out there and the education that you give us is invaluable. If you didn't go through that time you wouldn't be as passionate about what you do. I just started warning wigs a month ago thanks to you. I am 75 years young and always had thin hair all my life. Needless to say as I got older my hair got thinner. I wish it could have worked that way on my hips! But I digress. I feel more beautiful and happy about myself! So thank you. Maybe this will lead me to get a bigger closet!
    Thanking you again,

I have fine low density curly hair, and I feel that being post menopausal as well as having multiple CT Scans has caused my hair to shed and it has not grown back the way it was. Like you mentioned, the plus side to my wearing wigs is that I don't have to worry about how the weather affects my hair. I just hope to someday feel comfortable wearing wigs. Wonderful video! I wore wigs for several years when I was still working - genetic hair loss on fine, thin hair had done a number on me. Plus, it was so much quicker! When I retired in 2019, I started going wigless. I would have to use tons of hair powder to cover up the bald spots and my hair would still look awful! Plus, I couldn’t grow bangs and with a long forehead, I need bangs! So last week, I ordered some new wigs (Ready for Takeoff based solely on your video!) and plopped it on my head the second it came in. I had forgotten how much better I look in wigs! Since I live in hot and humid Texas, I decided I’m going to buzz my hair and was looking for videos on it when I came across this. While my bio hair will never look as cute on me as it does on you, I know it will be cooler and less trouble under my wigs. Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us!

I started graying in my early 20’s, easy enough to cover, I just high lighted… then dyed… then so much I started dying dark (I was naturally blonde ) I Did not understand skin tone and was wearing golden or warm blondes. When I should’ve been cool, it made me look much older so when I went dark, it helped me look younger. I hit a point when the dark no longer made me look younger, I look like an old woman with dyed hair, I decided to let it go natural. I purchased my first wig, which immediately led to three, I have cut my shoulder length hair to chin length and I’m really thinking about cutting it like yours… you are an inspiration, I of course much older than you, and wish I had come to this much sooner. Life is so much more fun!
    Thanks so much❤ for

I supposed that to be becuase of the decreased hormones. I still do love wearing wigs and like you will always wear them...because they are SO MUCH FUN!!! You are such an inspiration. I've bought 2 wigs and haven't worn them in public yet. I am 62 years old and my hair started thinning after menopause. I had the same very itchy scalp and then hair loss. It subsided for a while but IT'S BACK!!!! Itch and lots of hair loss. The crown of my head is very thin. Your openness and willingness to share your story is very helpful. Maybe I'll wear one of my wigs soon. it's getting harder and harder to do the comb-over thing :) Thanks again for your videos.

Ohmygosh I have the exact same story! I just turned one year older though, haha. Because of quarantine, I finally decided to just quit fighting, shave my hair, and wear the wigs forever. I also have extremely fine extremely curly hair that just never looks as good as I hope. With TE I have lived in a decades long cycle of losing my hair, growing my hair, liking it for one minute, then losing it again. Wigs look good EVERY day! Thank you for sharing. It's always comforting to know someone else understands.

Hi TAZ😘 Perfect review for me today for sure! My hair has always been fine and soft but I had a lot of hair just difficult to manage and get it big like I like it! Went thru so much product and tears just trying to fix it to my liking ! When I found wigs I was elated and so was my husband bc he didn't have to wait for me to get ready for an hr fixing my hair! However now since I have had Covid I'm finding hair loss a side affect! I get up in the morning and it's all over my pillow ! I can literally pul it out! I was starting to think about spending money on products and vitamins but most of the vitamins make me nauseous! I think now I won't worry about it and save my money ( for a wig) and just let it happen ! I am going to cut and color it and just be grateful for my wig journey ! Being a hairdresser I know all those expensive shampoos don't work anyway ! Maybe the hair loss will subside maybe it won't but I'm not going to worry about it! Perfect timing for this video :) Love ya lots Barb 💕

Thanks for sharing. I use what is called mermaid hair spray. It is essential oil and witch hazel. I have been using it for about 2 years but my loss from PCOS is so profound that I will probably need toppers and wigs. I have longer hair that I go and get done. My stylist is aware of my hair loss journey and wig wearing. I do still color but not as much. I have gone very short in my bio hair before but have decided to grow my hair out. Wigs allows me to have the hair I had before I lost it to my disease. Wigs allows me to focus on my health issues that this disease causes. Wigs are fun and I can change up my look and I don’t damage my fine thin bio hair.

Thank you so much for the information. The demonstration of exactly how to trim your hair was great. That is what I am doing, but struggling as I am not neat handed. I started wearing wigs when there was too much pink scalp showing through the thin white hair. I always had thick hair, and most women get thinner as we get older, but I got the bad hair genes. Ironically, both my brothers still have good heads of hair. But it is natural at my age and so I did not have the same inner struggle of those who loose hair young. It was still uncomfortable to go from pink scalped old lady to someone with a full head of blond or red hair that looks 20 years younger. I had to struggle with WHY do I want to look younger. But what I wanted was to look prettier. Wigs gave me a chance to play around with how I looked and the Cancer society got all my many mistakes. I still like watching the reviews, though my wigs are all packed away until I get out of isolation. Kind of my window out into a world free of politics. Playing dress-up at 75.

I have found someone to give me the uplift and encouragement I need. I’m 72 yrs old and have struggled with hair loss for years. The best diagnosis has been a change in my thyroid. Have had hypothyroidism for at least 30 yrs, hysterectomy at age 39. Went through menopause in mid 40s. At that point there was still no indication that I was in a downward spiral. In the last year and a half I have had to start wearing wigs due to the thinning of my bio hair. seems like every wig I buy does not meet the mark. My bio hair was always kept in a pixie, which was really cute and easy to care for. When buying wigs, I went out of my comfort zone and did a little longer shag, Bob, etc. I have yet to find one that I really really love. I just feel you look great in anything that you put on. With that being said, I will continue on this journey and give myself some grace do not hide behind my wigs, but to let my wig sing for me. Any help from you would be much appreciated. Your story has warmed my heart.❤

I’m so excited to have found your channel. I have always had very thin blond hair, but about a week ago, after showering I pulled it up in a towel and a few minutes later when I took of the towel my hair was in a huge knot. It took my husband 3 days to comb it out. It has been falling out in large chunks over the past three months. I have kidney desies, and have had 3 surgeries since a June 15th 2020. I believe my hair loss is due to medication. But I’m so afraid of how short it’s going to be after my trim tomorrow, and bald spots. Where can I buy a natural looking wig, that doesn’t fall off while boating, driving in convertible, etc...... my natural color is blond, but I don’t want to buy a wig that’s really thick and fake looking. Can you guide me in the right direction? Thank you for your time, Tambi

What a beautiful person you are Taz! So glad you did this video. So glad you told us all you felt, and how you managed. I have done my own color much of my life. Sometimes found someone not too expensive, who knew how to streak it the way I liked. Now, I have been losing a lot of hair the past few years, so i have been learning so much from you. I have also stopped coloring it because I am afraid it will make it worse. I use clip in hair extensions to streak it, and hats to cover. Otherwise, one could tell. I have yet to get a wig but I am headed that direction. Thank you so much for teaching us so much about wigs, and showing us the various brands, styles, etc.

Thank you for sharing such a personal journey, Taz 😘. Yes, I do cut and color my own hair. I keep it pretty short because it’s very thick and frizzy especially in the summer months. In the winter when it’s drier I usually grow it out into a layered Bob. When I bleach the roots my hair turns a light Auburn color which I love, but I have to do it fairly frequently. I’m 56 and so tired of it all. I don’t think I realized how much so until I started wearing a wig a few weeks ago. No more endless styling every morning! I do feel a little judged though by coworkers and my daughters. Trying to get past that part...

I expressed my joy and enthusiasm about wigs so often it was like I was daring anyone to judge me..lol! 🤩🤩🤩

Taz... i am new to thinning hair and small spot hair loss at the age of 75. I had beautiful thick hair all my life and then I had hip replacement surgery in November, 2019. I am anemic, too, and very low weight (5'1" and 105 lbs). That's when I noticed shortly after surgery that my scalp was burning and itching and then a little hair loss on top and on one side spot. I am devasted because I still have my naturally brown hair color I was born with and not one gray hair to be found (never altered my natural hair color). I was devasted to see hair loss. Then I found you, your site, and your truly inspiring spirit to carry on and find a solution that will give me my confidence back. Having my hair look perfect is always important. I bought Jon Renau's Allure wig as my first wig and Dance by Paula Young, my second. Limited income at 75 so they will do for now but the confidence I feel is unbelievable. You are beautiful; thank you for your tips and inspiration!

Wonderful video. I'm a little older and about 10 years ago someone at work pointed out some "bald spots" in back of my head! I've been able to camouflage some thinning rather well while keeping my hair long and wearing up. Still,.the handwriting is on the wall and it was last year I decided to start experimenting with wigs. It has been so much fun once I became comfortable with them.

First I want to thank you for letting us in to your personal struggle with your hair loss. I think you are probably one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen...and it just shows us that the outside doesn't matter if your self-talk is negative or even abusive. I've struggled with self esteem and confidence issues my whole life. I had parents that really placed a high priority on outward appearance and were very quick to let me know I didnt measure up. So no surprise my self talk is negative out of the gate. I've gotten better as I've gotten older but self acceptance does not come easy. I'm 59, was still cycling up until my hysterectomy 3 years ago and so I was thrown into instant menopause. Since then I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and RA. Stress was already taking a toll on my already thin, fine white hair and then COVID...I started losing what little hair I had. So this past fall, I bought my first wig. I only have a couple. I'm not like you where EVERY wig looks amazing on me! lol But I'm slowly getting more comfortable wearing them and even get excited when I know I'm going out so I can put on gorgeous hair and feel more confident. I still have a long way to go but I appreciate having wonderful wig-sisters like you to help me through this process! Blessings Taz!

I agree that wigs are a fun way to change your look while protecting your own natural hair. But your natural hair looks marvelous too! You have been through a long journey. But I’m glad that you’re a survivor. You have inspired and uplifted so many people. Nowadays, some doctors have found that our gut health influences our overall health. Even our mental health. They’ve discovered that some autoimmune diseases and inflammatory disorders can be relieved by improving our gut health. There’s a lot of information about this online. But maybe you could ask your doctor for more information and a referral to a holistic medical practice that specializes in this approach for health care. They can work together with your current doctors and medical team. By the way, I’m a new subscriber. Thanks again for sharing 🙏

My hair has always been baby fine, I just used to have more. A low thyroid, menopause (I'm almost 59) and now psoriasis of the scalp has me with so little hair. I was going to have it all cut off this week, but our state (CA) closed down all hair & nail salons. Wigs have given me the confidence to be myself again. I love not having a bad hair day! I've been wearing them for just over a year now after fighting a losing battle with toppers.
