Lol crazy excuses people come up with! Then why is it becoming more popular with dogs? Imo, the only downside with clicker training is when the handler doesn't train/reward calmness/impulse control enough. But then all you really have to deal with is the animal being over excited for training 😂
It doesn’t work on all horses my coach did that as well but his background was he was a bully pony very mean so he got aggressive with food but it works if you take time he’s getting a hole lot better
I used to watch you when you knew what you were doing, now you’ve began building a relationship with your horse based on treats. What happens when you run out??
Sorry to ruin your hate comment but she has way more knowledge and better methods now. Not that her old were bad but treat training is amazing. Clicker training is amazing. All/ most gentle training methods are great. You should research it. And if you run out you just walk to the bag of treats and get some more 🤦🏼♀️🤣🙋♀️ and if you do try it I believe she uses hay pellets so it’s not to fatting to them 😂
I used to flood my horses and used aversives to get them to do what I wanted. If that was “knowing what I was doing,” I’m glad I unlearned everything 🫶🏼
The click marks exactly the behaviour that you then reward for. The animal, (may kinds can be and are, clicker trained) then understands which behaviour is required. Works for pets and even dangerous zoo animals! Research clicker training. Then you will understand the science behind the method. ;)
@ I’ve been training and handling every animal you can imagine in my lifetime and never needed a clicker or treats. Energy is the best trainer. Understand energy and how to connect with that animal and you won’t need props.
@@SouldArt You mean pressure. Everything falls into one of the 4 quadrants of operant conditioning. If you think you can train outside of that you are mistaken.
@@GypsyEquestrian no I do not mean pressure. I mean energy. I’ve worked with exotics, domestics and pets for over 60yrs, I’m not mistaken, I just have knowledge you don’t yet.
I’ve been watching you since I was very little! I’ve just started trying my horse with a little bit of positive reinforcement ❤

It doesn’t work on all horses my coach did that as well but his background was he was a bully pony very mean so he got aggressive with food but it works if you take time he’s getting a hole lot better
