the snob is my sister. It comes from entitlement, wanting attention, and no sense of what it means to respect others while trying to help others.
They create drama with everything they say and do so that they become the center of the ‘crisis’ and get attention.
They are authoritarian, arrogant, and dismissive because they lack respect (the heart of a loving teacher) for others opinions nor realize everyone is once a beginner. only they are smart enough to fix this and can’t be wrong.

I had that Cowboy at my barn. Except it was a woman, and she was a western "trainer" ( you know what I mean when you see the quotes )
Didn't matter I have a 4,5 ft Pony and I'm a grown woman that had to fit in a Pony saddle.
And of course weight doesn't matter as well, especially since my Pony was 25 years at that time, so no problem putting 40 pounds extra weight on her.
I had to smile her of for over a year until I changed to another barn. She even put her saddle "accidently" in my spot and asked her saddler if he had anything for my pony.
Gosh that woman still haunts me...

So when I was starting this girl said she could help me while my trainer was finding the hoof picks, I thought led her no and she said that I wasn’t looking after the horse well enough (even though this was the riding schools horse) I ended up getting reprimanded and I was in tears (I was still young) but when the trainer came back (the blonde girl left) I told her what happened so we checked out the horses hoofs and all went well and I learnt a few new things. Btw the horses name was Tango and she was SASSY! She bit the volunteer on the shoulder. I laughed myself silly and then the blonde came back and said that I was so bad for someone who’s known horses for years and then I just told her it was my first time on a horse and she flipped her hair and told on me. She was told off and guess who never saw her and her grey ever again? Me.😅😂
Omg there was this girl that boarded at our stables one time and she had a horse THERAPIST 😂 like she needed a certain stall because the “therapist” said that’s what the horse wanted they only lasted for like 3 months
God if a barn had different rideing people I would be so confused

Alyssa said and Logan said. Here's an advice. Ask your vet. You shouldn't be taking advice from non vets. Everyone will have their opinion and each one will clash but a vet studied in college for this. Beautiful horses btw.

What about the just regular peopleeeeeee🥲 I’m nothing like either of them, and I have a horse plus I do riding lessons.
Als ich die ersten male auf einem Reiterhof war um reiten zu lerben hab ich mich versucht an die Menschen zu wenden die sich vielleicht auskennen irgendwie hat mir niemand vorher so richtig gesagt worauf ich achten muss. Die haben mir das schon gut beigebracht aber ich musste viel Nachfragen und wusste zum Beispiel nicht wer jetzt überhaupt mein nächster Lehrer sein wird. Ich erinnere mich an eine Situation::
Die Lehrerin die für mich zugeteilt war hatte das Pferd ab einer "Longierleine" nennt man das glaub ich. Und ich hab dann gefragt:"ahh longieren wir etwa heute " uns sie war so :"ehm nein wir longieren nicht wir reiten" damit hatte sich meine Frage immernoch nicht geklärt ob das jetzt Longieren ist wenn man das Pferd an der Leine im Kreis Laufen lässt oder nicht. Ein sieben jähriges mädchen hat mir da manche Sachen freundlicher erklärt weswegen ich mich auch blöd gefühlt habe weil ich mir dachte :"boar die kennt sich so gut aus und ich ja mal garnicht" das reiten hat aber Spaß gemacht und einige waren auch sehr nett und cool und haben mich gut angeleitet.
Ich dachte dann ich suche mir lieber einen anderen Pferdehof weil die da bisschen sassy sind aber anscheinend ist das so nen unterschwellige Stimmung bei den "strengen Reitern" oder bei Reitern
Ich finde das bisschen Schaade.
Ich weiß das ich das alles auf Deutsch geschrieben habe.

Omg, the sables I go to the owner has like 8 year old son who in convinced he’s a cowboy and he going around tell like ppl who go to his aunt riding lesson. Who is my riding instructor, and like wearing cowboy booth and cowboy hat. And it kinda annoying but also adorable
I had a trail ride once that was literally the best. Like the owner let me canter. But she had a young son who had a donkey and he was hilarious. He kept saying stuff like “I know how to gallop!”

I swear, we've gone through all of these people at our barn. I've been boarding at the same barn for 26 years. It's almost always been a Dressage barn, but in Colorado, we still had western ppl boarding. Riding Dressage, and in the same arena with someone doing western pleasure...yah, that was always an incident.
"My horse walks faster than your horse lopes."
"That bit is way too severe" (snaffle vs curb)
"Why are his legs wrapped, are you expecting an injury?"
"I keep the light on all the time, so his hair doesn't grow."

God I'm glad that I'm having my horses at home and not boarding somewhere. Here in Germany it's not better and theres always some talking behind your back in the stables. No matter what you do.

Okay, I'll admit I'm a bit of a chatterbox, but luckily for me, I'm not the only chatterbox at my barn. In fact there's lots of chatterboxes and occasionally there'll be a group of chatterboxes chatting is the hallway and any other chatterboxes that happen to walk by can just join in. It's actually pretty fun, especially now with covid because the stables are big enough to keep 6 ft apart while we talk, and it's pretty much the only socializing we're allowed to do outside the house.
The hippy made me cringe lolol I've totally met those horse people.
I need a TV show with this barn and these characters. It'd be like a horse girl show, but comedy

I’ve actually experienced this type of craziness at boarding stables. Everyone has a different opinion on what is best for your horse. So I learned to be very polite and ignored all the advice. It was absolutely insanity.

I’m in my 30s now but I remember being 13 with my first horse at a new barn with a new trainer after 6 years of leasing a horse and being really comfortable with everyone at my childhood barn. These crazy horse girls/women are hilarious and annoying at the same time lol

The snob one is extremely accurate at my barn. I have SO many brats at my barn and I'm 15 (i'm older than half of the kids that go there) and they still have the audacity to be rude and bratty to me, not even like when it comes to riding just in general. I have no friends at the barn because they're all rude and just go to be with the horses obviously, they like try to fix me on things I'm already doing right?! Just so many snobs that try to tell me what to do. Then when I follow their instructions since I'm a beginner I end up getting in trouble because it's wrong. It's annoying, and i have extreme anxiety so it causes me to mess up even more and ruin my fun
